I rode Sycamore Cyn for the 20 years when I lived in TO.....Never ever drank out of the creek! You are crazy!!! but we all knew that, including Liam and Jared...Jeff, have you ever hear of Giardia???? It takes a year to to figure out what you have and then possible 3-6 months to get rid of it!!!! DON"T DO IT!!! Thanks for your assistance on Carbon Bars...
I definitely wouldn’t want to run suspension or tires that don’t match front to back. I do like SRAM drivetrain better, but never had issues with the OEM shimano stuff 🤷🏼♂️
I like to listen to the podcasts while on a long fire road/climb and it always makes it more entertaining. Keep up the great Work on Worldwide Cyclery, Trail One, Ketl, and the mtb podcast!
II’ll have you all know that i have three dual suspension mountain bikes, all have a Fox shock and a RockShox fork. 2022 Trek Session: Van and Boxxer. 2018 Santa Cruz Nomad: Float X2 and Lyrik. 2023 Tallboy: Float and Pike. Couldn’t be happier with my set ups. Drivetrains are all SRAM and brakes are Hope or SRAM. Much prefer Hope personally but they are pricey and we need more Bean
my '19 stumpjumper came with a 50mm shock with 140mm of travel. I went up to a 55mm shock and a cascade components link which netted a 163 travel rear. never had a problem
Hey guys! And yay Banshee! Glad to hear y’all giving them some mentions. I just built up a Paradox V3 (w/ a few bits and pieces from you guys) and it is a baller ride! Super nimble, AND rowdy. Definitely my fave hardtail. And might I say, sexy AF. Aluminum is fantastic when used well! Keep up the good work guys! LOVE the podcast.
$1800 for the groupset is worth it. Then the Cutthroat frame can be turned into a baller indoor trainer. On the issue of fat kids, I have noticed that piggy back shocks work a lot better for me, (235lbs to 275lbs depending on how much I ride the road bike.) In fact, I think it was Johnathan from the back in the day mtb podcast that explained why the piggyback is good for Clydes. Speaking of piggyback shocks, I'll probably be buying a Super Deluxe for my Ripley AF to go with the Pike up front. (I dislike Fox and SRAM, oddly, preferring RockShox suspension and Shimano drivetrains.) For the issue of people being picky about Ketl, I'd love to try it but the only thing in my size are the T-shirts. :( I loved the coverage you guys did for Breck Epic. Would love to see you tackle international stuff like Cape Epic, TransAndes, or Swiss Epic Liam should name his pet rock Naeb, just to be a dick. And as always, MOAR BEAN CONTENT PLZ!
Jeff....you would not use a Reverb Seat Post....because why???? Smooth and quicker than anything out there....I'm a weight weenie too but on an eBike a few grams does not matter. Please sign me up for one of your new WWC Jersey's!
@@mtbpodcast Gotcha! I'm down to help whenever. My schedule is very flexible for the most part. I was at Sycamore this morning. Parts of Guadalasca, Two Foxes, and Sin Nombre were pretty grown over.
I was a Shimano fan 30+ years ago.....Shimano could not carry SRAM's jock strap!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hey Jeff, my eBike does not have a UDH.....would you have any idea if I could some how get my Rear Tri modified to except UDH????
I'm running sram drive train, shimano brakes, rock shox fork, fox shock, maxxis up front and conti rear....who did I just offend or cause permanent brain trauma hahaha 😂
Update 5/18: Jeff's bike has been sold. Thanks to all who have reached out!
I just opened this video, entry credit is playing, and I want Bean to be front and center. MORE BEAN PLEASE!!!!
Agreed!
I haven't heard a word of this video yet. But we need more bean.
Agreed.

Pet rock name: porphyrios, it means “purple boy”
The tattoo bit had me rolling. Great banter, as always, guys.

Cascade does the testing to make sure longer strokes work. Wouldnt recommend for most cases unless a company like Cascade did testing already :)
@@liamwoods5353 There were a lot of people doing it already when I did it in 2020. I wouldn't have wanted to be the guinea pig on a $650 shock.
Great show. Listening to you guys talk about nettles is hilarious. Unavoidable when riding in the UK.

Sick!!! Thanks for tuning in :)
We found out what SID means, but if "SB" doesn't mean senate bill, what does it mean?
Dwayne lol that's the name to use for the pet rock xD
Will ketl ever make a chamois for those of us not into the Borat look, aka bibs?
Best grips to date!
Bean or bust. Bean > pet rock
Bean or bust!

@@liamwoods5353 Still aint no bean
Did you try a vertical style pocket?

What scares Jeff about drop bars on a gravel bike?
Everything.

Great vid! Any way for me to help you guys with the trail work?
If we do a more organized day, absolutely! Recently it's just been Liam going "Hey you wanna do trail work tomorrow?"

DJI always looks clearer on my 4k tv
Your pet rock should be named "Pebbles".
I actually think "Chris" is pretty cool.....
👏🙂👍
freakin sram fanboys. yes for the liner short version of the bibs.
how is the cutthroat different than the warbird?
Slightly different geo and more tire clearance.
