I hope you enjoyed the video! Thanks to all those who took time to drop a like/comment, I appreciate you
My pleasure, keep up inspiring work! :-)
Keep up
I'm currently in my 3rd attempt to make my 2D platformer and stumbled across your channel the other day. Really inspiring stuff. The way you breakdown design principles is quite unique.
Cool to see how much stuff has changed on your game throughout time! Keep up the greater content!
you need an artist to make your game a success, i'm available if you want
what is the name of the keyboard? I've been looking for a long time with a big enter button.
This is almost identical to my dev week. Only difference is all the working out bits are just in my imagination and replaced with eating far too much junk food.
Funny, I have it the exact same :D
I play 2k23 and consider I worked out
it's never too late to change that, my friend. If you want to take on healthier habits, you're the only one who can take that decision.
You need to work on that, because we'd love to have you stick around a little while longer to keep creating the awesome stuff you're probably doing
So real
"Unity, you know I love you"
This aged like fine milk in 2 months time
edit: bro, this video was amazing. Love the mood and atmosphere that you created with angles, shots, music. It was also informative, I like to watch the work being done also.
+1 from me
Thought the same the second I saw it 😂
lol
At least Unity backtracked and adapted. The Diablo IV is what didn't age well here. LOL
they reconciled in the end
It's really amazing to see your overall skill sets for game developing. I merely program, but I can see your passion, and commitment to your game, definitely inspiring! Thank You.
Your graphics and animations look outstanding. Every attack/kill feels satisfying just from watching.
I loved how you shined light on all the physical activities and breaks throughout the week. I've found running and rock climbing to be ESSENTIAL in keeping my mood and body feeling right during the workweek. Super important when doing something as potentially isolating and sedentary as working on solo indie projects!
Thanks for the video!
Man, you killed it with this video. Very entertaining and I love that you showed some of the development dilemmas that go along with the daily grind (because it gives comedic relief to my own development issues)
You are a true inspiration mate. I'm now into gamedev for over 2 years and you have always been a true inspiration. Much love to you and your great family. Hope you guys all have fun together^^
I really needed this. Thank you. I've been having a hard time lately finding a balance in my life. I feel like my project is going on forever (6 month concept demo has turned into a 2 year vertical slice) and I'm not hitting milestones as often anymore. I feel like I need a routine to make my life feel more fulfilling. Seeing your routine is inspirational and perhaps I can try to do more to feel better in my mind and body.
It's way better than watching a day in the life of a web developer.
naaah don't do us like that lol
isn't that what led to the mass layoffs in the tech industry??
Or project manager lol
What? You afraid of spiders?
you tripping
"Will it ever be finished? Nobody knows."
Right in the feels. Truer words were never spoken.
PS: love the blur effect of the leaves in the front. It gives it SO MUCH more depth.
Ha yeah, those lyrics were off the cuff and from the soul.
Hey thanks! I'm glad an FG leaf blew through during one of those clips. I have it set to a random interval timer, can be hard to catch during recordings! Thanks for the comment man, always nice to hear from you.
Love this realistic look into a week of your life. It's clear you work hard but also have balance. Can't wait to play Blood And Mead when it's done!
realistic ? do you think his lifestyle is realistic for everybody ?
It's ONE reality, it's not realistic at all
How many people can brag like him ? With a house near the sea, a spouse, 2 dogs, children, time to run outside when he wants, time to go to the gym, ... without having a job aside to get the money to live this life with all its cost ?
@@ChroknowWhine a bit more...
Realistic look into "your life" MEANING the devs life.
Nowhere is it stated it is a look into everybodies life.
Thanks for sharing man, for some reason I find such content very inspiring, keep sharing, I have worked in IT for years now mostly networking, but currently transitioning into Dev work and I absolutely love it. Keep the videos coming man.
Holy cow! The editing of this video is superb! Can definitely tell you put a lot of work into it. I really love these style of videos every once in a while since it gives us a peek at the person behind the game. And on the game dev side, Blood and Mead is really coming together! I'll be honest, when I first came across you, I watched the videos largely because I liked the grounded nature you presented game dev and the advice given. Blood and Mead was something I thought sounded neat but wasn't that interested in, but now it's really looking great! Cannot wait to try it out when it comes out, man!
Hey thanks so much, it's been a journey of learning and discovery like none other!
This was so much fun to watch and wonderfully edited! Great video
This is good for both a Game Dev Teacher (High School) and students to see. Thank you! It's the start of summer break and I was considering starting a project, but there's so much work to do preparing a 2 year program, and decompression time is important...sigh... (and that's where I appreciate the song)
man, you have motivated me so much through your videos that I am making my own Open World game now.!
I love your eye for detail, I just loved your skills as an artist/animator/developer. I'd be the luckiest if I have half the skills that you possess.
PLEASE Never stop making these devlogs.
Very nice to see! I'm impressed with how you manage to perform so many completely different skills on a pretty high level all by yourself. Like animation, programming AND even sound...
Amazing video, it was funny, well-edited, and entertaining/educational throughout! One of the many reasons your channel is one of all-time favorites! Side note, I really love the look of the UI right now as well as the look of the new enemies you added, cant wait to see the final version!
I REALLY enjoyed this style of devloggig. It’s really immersive and personal. Please do more!
I love what you've been doing with your game! It's awesome :)
Instant subscribe. I can tell you put a lot of effort into the video. It was so well made, relatable and the game looks great!
Coolest devlog I've seen in a while XD Keep up!
Really really enjoyed this format. Always love your videos
This was a lot of fun to watch, thank you for sharing and putting this together. We got a glimpse of your day to day.
The amount of time you put into this video really shows and I appreciate it. You've managed to make me smile multiple times throughout and I look forward to more video like these. Those Diablo reactions had me ROFL'ing. Thank you for making my day that much better.
I really enjoyed watching bro. Great job!
First video ive watched from you, but enjoerd the story of this. Keep up the content. Enjoying it a lot!!
This video was really amazing! Thank you for sharing a bit of your life with us.
Great video! I love to see that I'm not the only one who needs multiple breaks a day to do something physical out in the sun while doing creative work!
This is probably one the best in depth day in a "..." video I have seen. I appreciate the fact that you put some solid coding in and progression while also showing the day to day of being a father! Great stuff man keep working hard and I can't wait to try out the video game!
Dude, I’m brand new to your channel. I’m so grateful the Unity drama brought your video to me. I’ve wish listed Blood and Mead now. I hope others find you as well and I hope you find amazing success with your projects. The game looks so fun!
Your hard work and dedication is inspirational, thanks for the vid!
I started following your journey from the beginning of the channel (I think 2020) and it is nice to see you are making good progress in your game. Kudos to you because despite you have a family you manage to set some time to keep working on your project. I only live with my gf and I struggle a lot to keep practicing gamedev lol. The new character design is awesome, it stands out comparing the classic-standard viking character that we all know. Respect!
I love this.. you're so good at making this very entertaining!
Really loved this insight into your life, thank you for sharing this with us !
This is amazing, bro! Solo game devs always do amazing work.
Awesome format and timescale with fun and value points for understanding dev problems!
This was such cool insight! I’m starting my first game so I am def gonna follow you along.
Great content I hope your game is big success as it looks it will be!

Great tornado kick btw! ;-)
This is a fantastic montage. I particularly like the glasses-pop-up-you when going through your JSON file.
Cool devlog and good progress! I like the new player abilities, effects, interaction!
This was so satisfying to follow along.
Well done mate. Can't wait to pick the game up when you finaly get to ship it. ;]
This was surprisingly entertaining! Nice job! 👍
This video made me wishlist your game more than anything else. Great work!
I don't know if you have a lot of videos in this style but I haven't come across them. I really enjoy it! I legit lol'd a few times and that is tough to come by in game dev videos!
Good video, gives me lots of motivation to work on my games and continue making devlogs!
Awesome channel! Always wanted to be a game dev myself, maybe one time ... Love your game's look and feel! Can't wait for more!
Good healthy lifestyle...with some gamedev for balance! Killing it mate. Games looking good. EDIT: Love the gore additions!!
Hey thanks man! The gore worked out well - brutal, yet playful! I have a core game hook around this system that i've been keeping in the shadows, hope to have it done soon.
@@LostRelicGames Interesting! Trying to picture what it could be? I'll be curious to see what it is. Keep the grind up.
@@LostRelicGameson the money, for me playing around with the gore system will be an enticing part of a purchase decision, can't wait.
I loved this video! Perfect balance of life/dev/jokes. I could watch 100 of these in a row
what a delightful video man! enjoyed every minute of it!
I love these day in the life videos. Thank you so much!!
Cheers man, glad you enjoyed it, and wishing you the best with your own projects!
This is superb!! Just found your channel and liked, commented and subscribed. Can't wait to check out the game!
I wish you all success with your game. It looks terrific! Keep it up
Congrats on all of this progress and success. Looks good.
I've been watching a ton of these videos to take into consideration regarding my own reviews. Going to have my staff do the same for theirs. Understanding the people, the human element, shouldn't be lost when reviewing the content they made. Thank you for posting this insightful and inspiring video. I'll keep my eye on Blood and Mead :)
Your creativity and inspiration reflects in this video. Hope you the best of the succeses.
Looks like things are really coming together! Well done!
Excellent video and a great looking game. Keep up the good work and I wish you much, continuing success with your game.
Loved the video direction and your game looks very polished even tho it's simple, congratz
Looks fantastic. Good luck on your dev adventure my man
There are the videos that'll blow up your channel, dude! Loved it!
What a lovely video. You kept me hooked:)
Awsome to see another update! Enjoyed seeing these over on twitter too and it all now being put together.
this video was way more hilarious than I anticipated, you've gained a new fan!😂
Ah yes, the Succulent Chinese Meal at 3:57 , how great was that. The game dev talk flowed as much as the beer, but you're right the hangovers are brutal as we get older. Still, let's tee up another one! Great video my friend, one of the greatest you've done so far. - Oli
i loved this video man, just started getting into unity, hopfully i can get like u one day
I'm always shocked at how fluent and polished your animations and effects come out. Amazing work!
(btw , from a game design point of view , you could make it so that you can collect an upgrade chest once enemies are not around. this way you could collect them without being attacked , and you wouldn't need this some-freeze-some-not mechanic)
*alternatively , offer them in safe locations only*
Hey thanks, took me a while to learn how to make them look better! (Pro animators would scoff I'm sure). Yeah there will be sections where the chests materialise after clearing a horde too, but I wanted to make sure the flexibility is there for all situations. Thanks for the comment!
I'm in college right now and every dev day is just like yours bro. I look forward to playing thus game!
Love it, thank you for sharing!
It looks really great your game that your making looks amazing and I can tell cause of the little tweaks, you are very good at making games based of blood and mead that your working on
Inspirational and fun. Really enjoyed this. Thanks 😊
Really impressed with your dev skills :)
Love this man!! Hope you make millions on this game!
You can really tell that there was a lot of effort put into this video. Great job!
Awesome video as always! Great to see how awesome the game is looking now :)
Game looks really cool and the devlog is great too keep doing thatt!!! Awsome
Loved the charles dozsa reference ahha. Amazing video mate
I really liked watching this. Thank you 😊
So entertaining...usually I skip most of it but i watched the entire thing
Hi, Thanks, it's inspiring AND motivating ! 100% recharged to continue my game dev...
I love your life and games, keep it up!😍
No...body... knowssssss. You really need some solid bass at the end there that falls off as it goes down the scale.
Great video man. I forgot about your game and I need to make sure I wishlist it! It's looking great!
