Some people get criticized for playing like this because they aren’t “on rhythm”. It just doesn’t sound natural without the life given by proper musicians

Exactly. A lot of piano players on RUclips play with no feeling as if they don’t care about the beautiful piece they’re playing. It’s as if they’re going by the numbers. Hearing one who plays with their soul is sadly a rarity.

Agreed in every way i started playing piano 2 yrs ago ..and when u first learned this song ive played it twice a week since...ybe most amazing peice of music lyrically as well...ahh i cannot tell u enough what it means to me the duality of the peices ...the light and sadness of the first and the darkness and lust of hellfire prob my favorite...they outdid themselves on this movies music...the best by far ..its beyond disney music ..love this book of songs..u play it beautifully...

I totally agree with your caption. I listen to or sing this song (in a female key) almost daily and it never stops making me feel - my heart wells up with emotion and I cry almost every time because of the pureness and beauty in it and then the contrast of darkness in the song that follows. 🥺
