Was only a quarter through this video and hit the subscribe button. I like your delivery on the video. And you have me excited as my MT09 is being dyno’d as we speak. Greetings from 🇬🇧. Keep it up bro.
i got a booster plug for my xsr900 (same engine as mt09). the throttle is butter smooth now. no more twiching. what it does basically fools the ecu into thinking the air temp is much colder and so it adds more fuel. these bikes are set to run way too lean from the factory for emission purposes. i have the same exhaust you do (akrapovick carbon full) and a k&n filter and the first thing i did was to buy a dynojet tuner and flash the ecu (400$), but that didn't help at all. the tune they sent me didn't modify the fuel table at all so bike was still running too lean. i learned that after riding for 2k miles and figuring out how to compare the tune from dynojet to the stock tune from yamaha. so i went looking for better options and ran across a forum talking about the booster plug (150$) and maaaan what a difference that made holy damn. bike is so nice to ride now. definitely recommend
Jet a proper flash tune dude, you will not fix anything with a booster plug. I did myself helped by vicyclenut all the process through the woolich software, and there is nothing better than that. You do need the fuel maps fine tuned by someone that knows what he is doing.
Did you leave the AIS active? You can disable the popping on decel if in future it will annoy, both through software, but also capping an hole in the airbox.
Hi mate, have been thinking about getting my Mt 09 dyno tuned because of that aggressive throttle response in A mode. Sounds like you were happy with the outcome, where in Hobart did you get it tuned?. I'm from Launceston.
@@tyrone5434 Manufacturers give power/torque figures at the crank, at the wheel equates to a loss of about 15% through the transmission and final drive. I just got my '19 done and it made 100.66hp at the wheel standard, after the tune is 106.11hp. I also got the race tools package.
I was contemplating about a tune on my 2019 with the same exhaust, but I kinda like how raw is the throttle response. It gives character to the bike and I preferred A over STD mode at the track anyway. If you want to giggle even more, get a suspension upgrade. ;) BTW, are those mirrors any good? Any practical advantages over the stock ones?
Nice mate! I'd argue that A mode feels much much better after the tune and still keeps the raw feel. And no advantage over stock. But they look cooler ;)
Sweet video. Now that you've probably ridden it a bit with the new tune does it feel different? Feel better? (Sometimes that stuff is all in out heads, like how the bike runs better after a nice detailing and oil change.) I heard rumors that it felt smoother though.
@@mindthenowmotovlogs8563 It is not rich or lean. The AIS was left on (purposely) so it burns the spent fuel in the exhaust, normal on these bikes if the AIS is on

Thanks man! Means a lot!
the fella that did the dyno is a legend ay :P

Did you find that the exhaust got noticeably louder with the tune and flash? That’s what happened with me and my 2017 xsr900
Did you leave the AIS active?

Yes
Nice man, I want a mt09 now

Horizon Motorcycles my man!
Tell them Jacob Woodmansee sent you 👍🏻
@@INFAMAS thanks mate 👍.
Does dyno tune with woolich software reduces fuel economy?
Tunes typically increase economy
This is awesome
Was the outcome just a smoother throttle?, any other benefits from dyno tune
She's got more top end power and torque
What where the power figures
60ftlb torque
108.4HP
Isn’t mt09 stock 114hp ? How did yours hit a max of 108
Engine HP and HP to the wheel are different

@@LinkinMcOwnage thats weird, just got mine tuned. 126 hp at wheel and 98 nm

What’s that exhaust on it?
Full Akrapovic Carbon
i just have mine tune and dyno
the back fire is bad mate
Nah
@@INFAMAS yeah its bad mate either its rich or lean
