Absolutely brilliant video I have one of these engines but it needs a new starter motor, I can't find a part number anywhere to get a new one have you any idea what it could be.
Thanks very much. I had a feeling she would free up OK. Yes I try to keep my videos "real" without a lot of editing and bull crap. Just a guy in a shed fixing stuff simply and cheaply. Thanks for watching.
getting them stubborn nuts of try finding and getting a lowest torque impact driver if you go to high on the torque it will break them off but a cheap low torque should break the corrosion on the threads most of the time its better undoing with instant hand torque, obviously with a bit of wd as well, anyway good day to you mr mancave.
Fantastic to see it actually start and run...
Well done mate
Cheers mate. I have done a bit more since I finished the vid. I did record it tho so will post that in a bit.

Always clean your job before and after . Always makes a tradesman a better tradesman. Unless your not a tradesman that is.
Is it possible that it’s only seized because the coil is rusted to the flywheel (just a thought)
No I could see a slight air gap in the coil. Was definitely that rust ridge on the right cylinder. Thanks for watching.
It runs. Don’t sound bad. Good job mate

Cracking stiff mate. I too like to tinker in the shed lol.
Good video, more entertaining than half the crap on tv these days.
That engine didn’t take much persuasion to free up, good to see in running.

@@NorfolkMancave yes I like to see it as it is without to much editing. Just watched the follow up video on the carb and manifold.
Awesome job my friend 👍
Yeah she is there mate. I have done a bit more since the vid. I cleaned the carb and engine up. Will post the video in an hour or so.
@@NorfolkMancave awesome, can’t wait to see the JD with a new engine
Got to see if it fits under the bonnet of the JD yet. I did measure is and if I got it right I should have a inch either side. 🤔
