Cosmic Star Heroine is also a decent one, short, simple and cheap yet oozing character. I would recommend it (it is currently under a dollar at Fanatical if you don't mind playing it on Steam)

Uhh I don't think you understood the assignment. The little icons seem to show you which types of attacks will drop their guard or shield or whatever is keeping them from being damaged. Once you clear those out you will do full damage to the enemies. At least that's what I think is happening. Looks like a fun game but it's no where near Chrono Trigger level. Chrono Trigger did almost everything right. It's crazy.
i got those vibes when i played the demo, Im a huge Chrono Trigger fan and most definenly will be getting this...fingers still crossed for a port or even a 2D HD remake for the switch
For people that still haven’t played the demo go to the menu and read how the combat works, there’s lots of thing the demo doesn’t teach you so you won’t understand how to make more damage, take less damage and stop special attacks
Actually, I believe he's a guest composer. If you play through the demo, there's a path you cannot access on the world map. If you stand at the entrance it flat out says that the song for that area is one of Mitsuda's guest compositions and allows you to listen to it. Yeah, checking the Wikipedia page online, it says the main composer is Eric W. Brown with Mitsuda producing some "additional tracks". They do make it clear that Mitsuda is a guest composer, so they're not misleading people by trying to suggest he's doing the whole soundtrack either.

If anyone wants a Chrono Trigger inspired JRPG while they wait for this game, play Chained Echoes. It's on every platform. It's so good too.

I love those Nintendo Direct demos, Sea of Stars and Octopath Traveler II have got me hyped. It´s frustrating the full versions aren´t available yet.

Fun game, but the walking speed in the world map....too slow, way too slow.
However I ONLY OWN a PS4 and their is ONLY the Switch Demo for NOW.
