    Hey Debbs, wish I could help, but without seeing the lights you got, I can't comment. If the connection is different, you got the wrong the lights. But it's as simple as connecting the LED connector to the bulb connector, stuffing the wires back in there and clipping the light in. Perhaps you tried to clip it in wrong way around?

  • @edyan2905
    @edyan2905 5 лет назад

    Thanks, Hilton. This was really helpful although somehow I managed to get the clip on one of the removable bub housing bent up inside the fascia trim it fits into so now the housing will neither come out fully nor fit back properly in! Doh!

    Hi Hilton..thanks for the great videos...I have changed my Jag's number plate bulbs today with LED ..is it safe as the original light or will it allow water to enter in there while raining and washing with power wash?
    Thanks

    • @carfanfan
      @carfanfan  4 года назад +1

      You can rest assured no water will get in there. To tell you the truth, I fitted mine a few years before selling my old XF on and forgot they were even there. I washed my XF once a week and used my lights three times a week at night and they worked without trouble. 😉

    Great video, thank you for keep uploading videos about jaguar xf but I have question for you
    Did you change the interior light of your car from fluorescent to led?
    and if so do you have some recommendations regarding the brand and amount of lumens should be?

    • @carfanfan

      Jonathan quintana It should fit the facelift models too. You could do a quick check by opening the cover of the light to check if it has a wedge fitting. These are usually called T10 or W5W fittings. If it does then these will fit ;-)

      Thanks for the feedback Grahame. Sorry to hear that. Mine are still working fine, so I guess they're due for failure any day now. But I'll buy another set - those phillips bulbs get way too hot for my liking.

      All the other LED lights other than the number plate lights are fine, and I must admit well impressed with pure white light. I believe the headlights have a heat sink as they do get HOT. Hope yours last for ever, I'm perhaps unlucky as out of warranty as I don't use main dealer for services.
