@@mikelroa8719The Milesian theory likely did not occur, but of course there was the Celtiberians and there are still some of such peoples today, such as the Galicians. So yes, the Galicians and the Irish and Scottish do have a common origin in the Hallstatt and La Tène Gauls.
The only difference comes to how the Irish and Scottish come from a mix between the Celts and the indigenous Neolithic peoples already living in the isles, whereas the Celtiberians mixed with the Neolithics of Spain. Because such Neolithic cultures had developed for a while, they were quite different at the time of Celtic expansion. Also, over time, the Celtic culture had split due to such geographical differences. This is ultimately what made the difference between the Brythonic Celts, the Gaelic and Highland Celts, and the Galicians.
I think it’s kind of interesting of the coincidence between the Milesians of Irish mythology and the Celtiberians of real life.

If anyone offended by this statement listened to a comparison between Scottish and Icelandic (the tongue presently most associated with the old Viking dialects, that of the Scandis' ancestors), we'd all agree with you the same! I can definitely vouch for your connection to this music, the Scots and the Vikings were quite neck and neck in how fiercely true they stayed to their roots until the old world began to change - and even now those that feel that same blood coursing through their veins find a way back to their passion for the culture. Good on you!

@@NOt__active For myself I found that using both FamilySearch AND Ancestry has worked wonders for me, as an American as well, to find my ancestral roots. My family tree goes back very far… I’ve got relatives from both sides from Scotland, clan Leslie being one of the links. Even as far back as tracing to the Vikingr Northmen. After doing more research, I am apparently descended from king Harald as well… & Cross checking it with my DNA results on a couple different sites it all checks out and lines up, serving as further confirmation. It’s quite exciting. ❤❤ I’m proud of all of it. ☺️

Anonymous Libertarian I don’t think you understand. The bagpipes are associated with bravery, duty, and honor on the field. The Scottish heritage has become larger than Scotland, that’s why militaries (my own marine corps) and police often call upon bagpipes. It’s a symbol in the military.
