MrMustang990 This is the newest model off baby. This one happens to be a boy, you might get a girl, but either one is a great deal. My particular model happens to poop quite a lot but that is ok, it tends to happen from time to time. We have been considering getting this for about 9 months and just decided to go for it and now we have a baby! The accessories for this thing are just absolutely amazing. You can get anything for these things, shoes, pants, knives, hats, shirts. I would recommend this product for anyone that is a responsible adult.

Missouri Meerschaum still makes smooth cobs like your old one. The new one you have is called the Legend, and it is left rough and is finished with a colored lacquer. All of the other cobs in the MM line are either left natural (AKA: Neked) or have the same plaster of Paris filling followed by a clear coat as the ones they made in 1869 when they were granted their patent for the process. I'm not a fan of the rough or Neked cobs. Also, only the cheaper pipes in the line have the sticker. As you go up the food chain the cobs are drilled out and fitted with a wooden plug to prevent burn-through. Those pipes feature a stamp rather than a sticker. They do still brand some of the special, limited edition pipes from time to time. We offers the entire line on our site and my YT channel is dedicated to them. Enjoy, Scott

Yo, Jeff! Great to see another pipe video from you! How bout that cob? Sweet. I had one almost identical back in college. Must have been between 72-75. I smoked the crap out of it until the bamboo shank was completely foul and cracked. The bowl never burned out, though. Enjoy! Mike

Corn cob pipes are to briar pipes as hot dogs are to steaks. Even a multi- billionaire, who eats the best goddamn steak you can eat, still eats the 2 dollar hot dog at the ball game. Corn cob pipes are like that for me.
Somedays when I look at my pipe rack, I see pipes ranging from 100-500 dollars, and have a tough time deciding what to smoke. Then I see that 3 dollar corncob pipe with a burn on the side, and a hole near the top. And I still gotta smoke it from time to time. Don't know why. Just have a soft spot in my heart for corn cobs

I did all of that pipe thing and had most fun collecting pipes. My most expensive was a briar for $40. Cheap because it was somehow flawed in the making. I remember the style was a Banker The discount house was in NYC on Wall St. as I recall. The pipe was very light in weight, which was part of the quality for a larger pipe. I quit smoking 30 years ago and have COPD anyway A word to the wise.

So believe it or not most MM pipes sold even more than 30 years ago looked just like the modern ones (shank and stem) - either that was a "special edition" or a higher end version. I do remember the bowl being like your older one (smooth and much thicker). Nice knife too BTW - would make a great "Zombie Stalker"!

I would have at least told the guy about the zippo. A lot of those shop owners really do love antiques, and are always looking to learn about them. For example, I bought a six foot lance tooth bucking saw from a shop, and talked to them about the different types of two man saws and what they were for. They found it interesting. Not everyone would, but it's just my 1/50 of a dollar.

I'm old enough to buy a pipe and even bought a few corn cobs and a tin of Erinmore?? flake. As I live with my parents currently and am young, they don't want me smoking. Have a community college full scholarship, so until I move to a university this flake is going to be aging.
