The father line to Scott gets me every time. Especially when you consider the history of the characters. I think the only other time I was moved this much was the Logan film.
I was 14. Just started 9th Grade. This was the end of an era. 1997 really was the final year that truly felt 90s. I could tell a new era was already setting in during 1998.

Truly one of the saddest scenes in animation if not cinema in general of all time. Went out like a badass. Hopefully right before the end he proved to himself that he was a hero.

He lost his parents, his brother, and seemingly cursed with a destructive ability he could not control and would kill anyone literally with his glance. He felt like he was destined to be alone, and walking through life with his eyes closed. But Charles gave him guidance and a path to follow and thanks to him, he has found balance, friends and a wife. He even found his father again, long thought dead, because of his role in the X-Men. To hear Charles tell him words meant to come from a parent are both heartfelt and tragic if these are his last. In many ways, Charles is his father, proclaiming he is proud of his adopted son. This is what the movies missed out on. This relationship.
@@slanetroyard92 it is a very unique and strong friendship that no matter the differences they may have, they do care for each a lot in every adaption of different x men series though in the movies magneto did a couple times leave xavior for dead which wasn't nice and something i don't think would eveer happen in a cartoon version so didn't like those moments in movies

Something to appreciate there despite their ideological differences to the point they fought each other and both have their points about the pros and cons of the world but in the end the 2 of them never forgot their friendship and despite their differences they held the highest respect toward each other.
Magneto and Professor X saw each other as brothers, so when Magneto heard of possibly saving Xavier's life, Magneto went save or be with his brother in his final moments.

I remember the day this came on, I saw it on TV and I decided to stay and watch it, I didn’t care about being late for school. Watching the final X-Men episode was totally worth it.
The Professors good bye messages also paid homage to the Bible. Jacob in his final moments of his life blesses or curses each of his twelve sons in different ways
Professor X's death in this scene and also in the 2017 film Logan are truly emotional and sad. Professor X saying a heartbreaking goodbye to each member of the X-Men. When a loved one is dying, we all have to face that moment when they say their final goodbyes to us and that they have lived a good life and that they love and are proud of us. I never got that with all grandparents. Jan (2010). Thea (2019). Fred (2020) and Jack (2021). I never got to say goodbye to all of them. They're all in a better place now.
Wolverine. The one who is eternally alone. The one who is the most undisciplined. And the one who is less likely to believe. Charles hit it right on the head.
Well deserved ending....loved this series...even tho it went above the average viewers head!!! Wish morph was featured more tho!!! But this series was excellent!
While the continuation may have the right look; I doubt it will have the substance and depth of this show. I doubt the level of values in today's society could produce a show with this level of emotional depth and maturity.

It probably would have gone like this: Magneto would be tried for his crimes against humanity, Celia Reyes, whose a lawyer instead of a doctor in this, would come in to defend Magneto which prompts a Beast/Celia romance plot, Hydra (or some other villain) attacks, the case is closed through a convenient plot device, and Magneto goes on to teach The New Mutants, lead by Jubilee. Also Colossus, Nightcrawler, and several other mutants are introduced into the cast. But that's just my opinion.
Is this the only series having Gambit being fully X-men? In Evolution, the only proof was the photo of most good mutants in last scene of final episode.
Man, i watched the show in Disney + not so long ago with the 90's Spiderman Show, i always wanted to see them both, and this ending made me cry, never thought this was gonna be the ending
This one episode in X-Men the animated series was depressing as freak because I never thought that they would have the guts to actually kill off Charles Xavier,I never wanted the character that die. This episode made me feel emotional as freak.‼️😭😢
Last nov 2017 the 25th anniv of T.A.S. they discussed the cancelled "6th" season. How it would have opened months after xaviers departure. The xmen scattered and in disarray. The move to discontinue the series baffles many up to now given the success it had during it's run.
OMfg. This makes me angry too. The 6th season sounds like it would of been amazing. I cannot believe they cancelled it. This series was so popular and so good. Companies always do this. They ruin amazing shows like this. I hate fox and other companies. Same thing happened to other great shows like gargoyles, spawn, and cyber 6. All were fantastic but cut short. I wish they would continue where they left of with this.
I would have liked it for to be extended. I would have liked to have had Iceman, Colossus and Nightcrawler come over, and have Nightcrawler do his last rites, and Banshee, too. and also Juggernaut to come and crash the little funeral

I was watching this episode the other day I went through the whole series for the first time, and oh man the last episode made me cry like a baby

It’s bittersweet seeing Charles say the son line to Scott knowing what becomes of Cyclops in the comics
I like xavior and magneto moment there showing how magneto cares for him
Though they have fought eachother time and again their friendship remained strong. It's a very rare thing to have a true friendship like theirs.

1996. Blame Haim Saban. Dude was a Cheap Bastard. He Stopped outsourcing Animation to Korea and hired a Hong Kong Studio for the final two seasons.
The Animators did their best to capture the Art style of the X Men Comic's in such a short time. Cut them some slack.
