The winner gets a record contract if I'm remembering correctly, many of the 2nd place winners have gotten contracts right out of the gate or shortly thereafter. I sometimes wonder if the voting is just a little bit rigged in some cases. I'm with you, Adam was by far the most talented that season. 🙂❤

I've wondered whether maybe it was that those who were voting for Danny washisface (came third) were more consrvative (and yes, homophobia playing its part), so a large proportion of his voters went to Kris (also a respectable christian, though a much nicer guy as far as you can tell from a tv show). doesn't really matter now anyway.
Actually being gay had nothing to do with it... when he performed with Queen and the other contestant Chris he took a job with them which is why he is now the front man for Queen!
