Was considering renting one of these to try it out. See you don’t recommend towing this with a vehicle rated at 5,000 which is what my FJ is rated for. What was this not recommended based on? Unit I have has anti-sway (looks like most states I plan on traveling through require this) and I only plan on having enough water in tanks to use the head a few times. Been towing a ~3000 pound sailboat with my FJ and barely know it’s back there. Also do the batteries charge off the tow vehicles 7 pin? Thanks, great vid.
Uh... You telling me you found my super secret hidden ultimate youtube channel 0_o NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Thank you for following. If you need any info on the camper let me know!
We just bought a Rubicon 2022 1708BH. Your video was very informative and thanks for posting the information. It helped make up my mind on which one to purchase. One question I have is about the Heated Underbelly which in the promo videos they talk about. When I look underneath it does not appear to me that it is a "True" heated underbelly since I see water lines running along the underside. We are planning on using out Rubicon during cold weather and I was wondering what your experience has been? Thanks!
Pablo I have a question, looks like my inverter look like is not working at all, looks like is connected to the batteries but no power, any ideas of what may be going on? Thanks
What size Israel qui k connect you used for the griddle connection to the trailer quick connect? I've not had any luck getting a good answer for that from the dealer.
Great video.. I’ve been researching campers for a long time. My biggest concern is I got rid of my 06 Tundra for a newer 4Runner before I decided I wanted to get a small camper. Do you think a 4Runner would handle this camper. Probably won’t be a long term or cross country tow vehicle but can’t see paying a premium for a truck right now.
I think the 4runner would have a rough time doing it. I've seen several 5th gen 4runners pull trailers at cam site equal to my size and they get super squatty in the back. That is dangerous because you have less traction in the front. I would possibly consider a unit that is rated half the weight of your tow rating which the 4runner is rated at 5k lbs.
I just came back from another trip in it and I can say I absolutely love this unit. Its been treating us really well and the only other unit that I kinda really had my eyes on was they JayFeather 171BH but I just couldn't justify the extra 10k in price tag between the two units. This floor plan is really really common among alot of manufactures and in the end its finding what features those come with that fit you and your family.
1. 1970's technology a/c. It boasts being "off-grid solar". But it has just one 190 watt panel. The a/c unit pulls 1500 watts. 2. It comes with 1 deep cycle lead-acid battery. 100 amp hours, but only 50 usable, because lead-acid works that way. 3. The battery is drained every night just with the fridge, let alone if you actually want to turn on lights and/or watch some tv. 4. BIG front window. LOOKS attractive, but 1/2 of it is blocked by a big sticker, and the bottom 1/3 is blocked by the bed. So massive window, with about 14" of visibility from inside. 5. Less robust, Cheap materials.
This is the best real life experience video I've seen. Thanks for taking the time to make it.
Clicked for the Coleman review stayed for the mustache
Just picked up a 1628bh a few days ago, thank you for the review!
I have the same unit. I added cabinet lift support struts to the cabinets over the dinette. Definitely helps.
Oh! thats a really good idea thank you for the input.
Thank you. I'm thinking of getting this trailer and I appreciate your review.
I don’t know about the trailer so much but the mustache is epic

Thanks for the review. So... the 12V fridge is iffy. I imagine another 190 w on top and 400ah Lithium would make less worry on the refer.
Thank you for the video! Can you do a video on what you else needed for it?
Looking for a Video of someone reviewing their Coleman 1628BH and came across one of my Fav Tick-tock creaters channel. Thank you for the info

That waterfall is amazing.. where is that? And I’m also looking at this camper
How about a spare tire?
It's been over a year since you've bought this RV. How's it held up? Any complaints?
Good no bs review
Sorry, auto connect got me. I'm trying to determine the correct size quick connect size for the trailer connection
I like mustaches, but have your considered grooming yours or making it look less like you lost a bet?
I've been looking at this same unit. Do you still recommend this camper or any other in this size?
Most Sincerely,
Ron.

How off road worthy is this trailer really?
We got one. Massively under designed, massively over promises what it can do. 1 year in… it’s for sale.
What design concerns do you have? How has it let you down?
