Honestly watching this live stream fills me with inspiration. Reminds me of when I first joined a band in highschool and revitalizes my love for writing and producing music. Thank you.
Thank you so much for doing these!! Seeing your little trick with the stereo mud removal on the master buss made all the difference in my mix!! I was getting so discouraged with my mixes and for the first time I am really happy with the progress. I've only been doing this for a couple of months but thanks to you and Nolly's vids I've come a lot farther than I ever thought I would at this point. I really can't thank you enough for the videos and for all the music. I had taken a break from playing and writing music for 10 years and I'm sad to say that I have only recently found Periphery, you guys are my new favorite band!!
Federico Garufi it’s in the video at the 1 hour ten minute mark I believe. Basically he runs down his master buss and what plugins he has. He uses the Fabfilter Pro EQ plugin to to dip the mids on the center of the mix then he uses the side to high pass the low end out of the side of the mix. He explains it in the video. There is also another setting Nolly gave him to do the same thing.
Thank you Misha. Satellites is my personal favorite in P4. I wonder why it was never played in a live concert. Really looking forward to seeing that in the future.
I wet myself when you mentioned Karnivool and Sound Awake. Another all-time favorite band and album. Also, thanks for doing these videos! So cool to watch.👍
Please keep doing these, they're so informative and fascinating to see what makes the songs sound the way they do. I'd love to see Garden in the Bones or Crush next. Or maybe even a breakdown of one of the P3 songs to see how it differs from the P4 stuff.
thank you so much misha for doing this kind of stuff, not only is this pretty entertaining because of all the interactions with the chat and the talking but I've also learned SO much from this live streams, thank you again :)

That was funny, I was just thinking that riff had a real Drew Goddard kind of sound to it, seconds before you mentioned Karnivool. Nice seeing you mention bands like Karnivool and giving Bill shoutouts talking syncopation in the vid with Tim, Tosin & Rick. You're always a pleasure to watch and learn from.
You are smart for adding other forms of instruments like the Moog to your music. It really does open up a larger canvas to create with. Its a joy to see you and others growing like this. Thanks for all your hard work.
Could you expand on the choice of Low Latency, Natural Phase and Linear Phase in FF Pro-Q 2 on your master bus? Nollys settings he send you were Natural. Your first EQ on the Master Bus had Low Latency. Is there a thought process behind it? Would love to hear your thoughts about that. thanks!
Misha, your streams have been amazing. Not only am I able to work and watch them at the same time, but they are fun hangouts where we get to hear all sorts of fun stories. Definitely want to hear more from Only Smiles.
Kind of unrelated, but how come you decided to perform Lune for the MEINL Cymbals live performances instead of Satellites? I love both songs, but I was surprised you chose Lune even though it’s been performed many times instead of debuting Satellites.
@Misha I meet you briefly recently at the taco restaurant behind Revolution in FT Lauderdale FL on your Bday when you were hangin w Plini & friends. l'd really love if you did a Synth only video because I'd love to see what you not only use but prefer and why. I'm a big synth enthusiast myself and think it'd be super cool.
Your guitars sound really good. I always have to do a lot of nothing etc. to get rid of fizz as they always sound to bright, regarldess of the quality of the amp sim.
I definitely agree with your manager about the album name. I really wanted to buy merch for PIV, but I didn't want to wear a piece of clothing with "Hail Stan" on it because I think I'd just look like an edgelord.
Well I wanted to buy SMash & Grab but I hate how it seems use iLok. Which is more affecting legal buyers than people who pirate it. In the past I just moved my SSD and installation to a newer laptop. Couldnt reactivate my iLok software at all anymore and no support on it. It just had 1 activation......
Hey misha.. maybe it would be a great idea to get someone else aswell to give some insight depending on the song! Keep doing these they are hella fun and interesting
@@MannyMo_ Nice, surprised he didn’t wipe it, then again I mean… constructing a good tone based on the guitar and pickup(s) being used isn’t exactly rocket science… However it would still be cool to look at his choices. Also I know what he says in the stream about his rhythm tone is ABSOLUTELY NOT the whole story… dunno who he thinks he’s kidding. 😊
Dunno if I should be asking this year, but here go: I had tickets for your headlining shows next month in Amsterdam and Paris both bought through Ticketmaster. I asked for a refund from both of them, and for the Paris one and am still waiting for an answer. For the Amsterdam one Ticketmaster replied with "The event you would be attending has been canceled by the event promoter. Necessary, because of the measures taken by the government to prevent the spread of COVID-19 as much as possible. One of these measures is a ban on all events until 1 September 2020. It may also be that the event has been canceled because the artist can no longer perform due to comparable (local) measures. Events will be rescheduled as much as possible. In the meantime, the cultural sector has jointly developed a regulation, supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and the Authority for Consumers and Markets. Promoters are working hard to reschedule events to new dates in which case your ticket will remain valid. If you can’t make it to the new date, the promoter of the event will offer a voucher. If a new date can’t be found, the event will have to be cancelled and the ticket holder will also be offered a voucher by the promoter. The best interest of our ticket buyers, event organizers and artists is our top priority. That’s why we support regulation that supports both our industry and offers fair compensation to fans. We therefore hope that many event promoters will make use of this arrangement. We have now worked out this regulation and are waiting for more information from this event promoter about their choices. Once we have received this information, you will receive an email from Ticketmaster or the promoter with more information and instructions to apply for a voucher or refund. You can't apply for a refund before this email is sent." (sorry about the big copy/paste) According to your Facebook page, you informed us we could already ask for a refund from where all tickets were purchased. Do you have any idea what it's going on regarding the event promoter? Also, can't wait for all of this to be over so we can see you guys live again!

Hey Misha, you should do a guitar collection video sometime during the quarantine. It'd be super interesting to learn about the history of your gear!
this needs more thumbs up please misha do this!!!!!!
