@@Loner098Tbh I think Yu and Naoya have the two worst ones. There isn't really much tension or anything on the line. They could've very easily ran but Yu just happened to awaken to his Persona in that moment. To me, the best Persona awakenings are when it's either major character moment or things look almost inescapable
30:10 "That's terrifying." That's the point. Many people hesitate to put even a toy gun to their head and pull the trigger. The evokers are designed that way specifically to induce fear and adrenaline in the user. The fight oe flight response puts the user into a mental state that makes summoning a persona easier. Because summoning a persona is, essentially, a subconscious defense mechanism to a life or death situation that SEES team members learn to use consciously. This game is dark. Good, but dark.

Tbh I think P1 and 2's awakenings were retroactively made cooler by the later games. Tatsuya and the gang don't need an Evoker, card or mask. They just stand there and casually say "Persona". Worst part is they don't need a TV World/Metaverse. They can just pull up on you like a damn JoJo character in the real world
I really hope Evan can deal with the remastered version of Mass Destruction, seeing as he already heared it, he'll recognize that the singer is different From what I could piece together as to why that is, apparently people say it's because of her age, so she wouldn't be able to sing it like it originally was.
So lore nerd here, figure I'll just write this down that people from the newer games misunderstand. Evokers, the guns Persona users use in this game, are just fancy airguns. Literally that's it, they look, feel, sound, and even recoil like a gun, but that's it. However that is shit your pants terrifying to shoot yourself with even know it's not real, and that fear+will=Summon Persona. Yukari was to afraid to do so but technically any Persona can do this if they just have the guts.
The main cast sounds great so far, though I do like Liam O'Brien better for Akihiko. We have also just met the fool shadow! The battle song in that first battle is called Mass Destruction.
Persona dont allow the damage of the gun. When you are in danger with shadows, it come up to save the day. The trouble is more the evoker arent a real gun in the game one the shape.
The VAs are pretty amazing, new and old. I started with FES. The only one I could end up griping about IS akihiko. That being said, who cares. It's a little jarring at first but, seriously, it's still P3 and a blast of a game with amazing everything and they did go all out so who gives a crap about one voice that is a bit off. It's not like you can top Liam anyway. He did the best he could, and I'm just fine with that.
Ehm.. Why does Akihiko sound like he's in his 30's, seriously I think Liam O'brien just did far better job but for now he's the only one I got a problem with, well there is Arena duology if you wanna compare the voices (Mitsuru still sounds close to Sae). Ikutsuki the pun machine oh boy he's gonna get interesting. Elizabeth, she's....... wierd and that might just be an understatement of the century. That persona orpheus transformed into in the cutscene can be fused in velvet room just so you know. Mass Destruction, oh yeah, here we go my favourite battle theme. Death and loss... yeah that theme will stick around.
Tbh I think they're both great bit Alejandro definitely does better in the calmer moments. As for him sounding in his 30s...tbh Liam's Akihiko sounds closer to a 30 year old than Alejandro's
@@connorharnage6697 My original point was that Alejandro makes Akihiko sound older than he is with how deep his voice is while O'brien's voice fits his age.

Joker's cool but the situation pisses me off. Especially with the cut between game and anime not being well made, so you're like "yeah, he's about to kill Ryuji", cut to black "jk, he's still speaking about how he will kill him", etc. Awful.
Even better than Yu's awakening?
@@Loner098Tbh I think Yu and Naoya have the two worst ones. There isn't really much tension or anything on the line. They could've very easily ran but Yu just happened to awaken to his Persona in that moment. To me, the best Persona awakenings are when it's either major character moment or things look almost inescapable
Mitsuru Kirijos va is the same voice actor as "Boss" from AI somium files
They mentioned that in the first five minutes.
30:10 "That's terrifying."
That's the point.

Except for Koromaru, he has a persona and evokes it with a leash because yes
Snow and spring is actually a lot more common where I live.
Also I thought it'd be cool to mention that, in line with the developers making the calendar accurate as usual, the moon calendar is also the same as it actually was in 2009-2010
Let’s get this!!!
35:33 A lyre? And a player too? I've met too many men like you...
Oh no, I’m not like that
Thanatos is the god of death, and death is a heavily known thought in the game. 😅
Even though it seems like you can save without it, it always gives me anxiety when people pass on checking the notebook on the counter at the entrance of the dorm😅
Babybabybabybaby wake up, we got the song
So, the persona Orpheus "turned" into was Thanatos, a persona of the Death arcana that was also in Persona 5 Royal as DLC.
It is said fusing together Orpheus and Thanatos results in Messiah (another persona that was also in Persona 5 Royal as DLC).
And if you ever wore Gekkogan High School uniforms in Persona 5 Royal (as DLC) you'd hear the original Mass Destruction (a.k.a. the song you claimed to have heard previously)
There are only three social stats, but there's also six levels of stats instead of five.
That one in the red is Akihiko and he is now voiced by Kaggyfilms aka CyYu
Aka a terrible downgrade from his previous amazing voice.
@@claire6452 things change and yes having the originals would've been great but I kind of like this. Kaggy did some good work with Akihiko
@@jenniferfordyce1581 No, he didnt. He's awful.
@@claire6452 you have your opinion I have mine
@@claire6452He's not a downgrade anymore than the other recasts. He's just not trying as hard to imitate the original. And ya know what? He's just as good as Liam
Well i guess we found the one thing that's NOT weak against guns
33:14 When Mass Destruction plays
Us and Evan: BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY WOOOAAAAHEEEEYY PAAMM! TA TARA TA!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 😆😆😎😎🎶🎶🎶

gasp das my birthday I turned 5 in 2009, anyways
The Dark Hour and Awakening cutscene is great but I gotta say the anime cutscenes from the PS2 version just looks better to me. I miss the cutscenes a lot from the game lol.
Give it time. I modded the original to play the scenes from the P3 movie instead so I'm sure you'll be able to mod the original cutscenes into Reload if you play PC
I'm really sorry for confusing Yukari's va for someone else. I got confused.
3:50 Junpei- Give a brother a hand
Me- (clapping)
Junpei- That's not what I mean!
This game has only three stats but they go up to lv 6, it's gonna be a grind.
Anyway, answering questions right give charm and answer wrong gives knowledge. I'm not sure it still applies here.
Usually courage isn't applied to sleeping, wish you paid attention to the lecture.
9:30 Spoiler alert- you don't
12:43 , 23:07 The potannnnntial!
I'll make a count for that
13:33 Igor man, you gotta lay off those smokes XD
14:01Me- Gimmi candy lady

25:11 If I knew how to mod, I'd make it for you
Persona 3 original- Per... sona (Lame)
Persona 3 remake and 4- Per... so... na (Lamer)
Persona 5- (screams) (Better)
Although the mystery persona in 3 is on Arsene's level, not sure if Makoto screamed in the original but it is good
30:06 Makoto- I wanna die someday
30:36 Orpheus- Same
Should I do a count?
Orpheus didn't start with agi, he started with bash: physical
35:03 Yukari- Say something!
Me- Something!
Yukari- (slap)
36:53 Benson- Stop lying!
Mordecai- Dude, I thought you said you bought it!
Benson- No he didn't buy it!
The Potantial!- 2
So Sleeping gain Courage & Stay Awake gian Academics, just to make it clear
The awakening scene, imo, was even cooler in the original P3 cutscene
You should check the tv daily in the lobby to get news or info
Let's be honest summoning Persona's like that is the coolest way to summon them!
Tbh I think P1 and 2's awakenings were retroactively made cooler by the later games. Tatsuya and the gang don't need an Evoker, card or mask. They just stand there and casually say "Persona". Worst part is they don't need a TV World/Metaverse. They can just pull up on you like a damn JoJo character in the real world
I mean ur suuuuper close to p3's themes, ust a smiiiiddge off
The Game Theme is Death
I really hope Evan can deal with the remastered version of Mass Destruction, seeing as he already heared it, he'll recognize that the singer is different
From what I could piece together as to why that is, apparently people say it's because of her age, so she wouldn't be able to sing it like it originally was.
Only real problem is the new lady enunciates baby instead of babeh
imo this is the best english voice cast for any persona game ever
Loss? That's cute.
I suggest turning the brightness of the game down a little. The game is generally too bright on default.
Lol when you said "bi-panic" after meeting both mitsuru and akihiko
The Persona Orpheus turned into is the MC's ultimate Persona Thanatos.
Death and loss... yeah that theme will stick around.
best boy had a better voice in the OG, but i can accept this.
Tbh I think they're both great bit Alejandro definitely does better in the calmer moments. As for him sounding in his 30s...tbh Liam's Akihiko sounds closer to a 30 year old than Alejandro's
I can understand that the new voice is fine, It's just hard to get use to a change when i heard his voice for years.@@connorharnage6697
@@TheUltimateRare Yeah and I get that. I just get annoyed when someone says it's "objectively" terrible for no reason
@@connorharnage6697 My original point was that Alejandro makes Akihiko sound older than he is with how deep his voice is while O'brien's voice fits his age.
Slight spoiler warning just to be tactful:
"Only 3 social stats?"
"Should be much easier!"
Poor guy😅
