As sad as his passing is for the community and especially his family, I feel like the kindest people in the community have galvanized each other with compassion and kindness in his honor, let's make today and everyday great!
Brian had a simple message of being good to each other and loving animals and that endeared me to him. I know the entire community will miss him dearly for many years to come.
What would Brian do? Brian would share his knowledge and passion with people that would like to keep reptiles and be kind to other people along the way. Nobody can be perfect but its a good way of life.
Besides all the good things you said about brian, you are always such a positive speaker about embracing reptiles and not causing unnecessary bickering and fighting amongst ourselves in the reptile community and even those outside our hobby. Thank you. " What would brian do" was a perfect caption!
I cannot even imagine how not having Brian is impacting his family. My heart hurts for them. I live close to the reptarium so I have offered to volunteer if they need anything with everything going on. This has made me want to get out and help. He helped so many. It is time to give back 😊
You make such good points. I think that it's easy to love animals. Give them their basic needs, some enrichment, and attention, and they're happy. Humans are complicated, messy, and unpredictable. Being kind to each other is not always an easy task, but it is always a worthy goal.
What he could do better than anyone on youtube was understand complicated things but say everything in a simple way that anyone can understand. Linus at Linus Tech Tips also has that ability but is too condescending to pull it off seamlessly. Brian loved sharing how lovable the reptiles are to everyone and his personality just made him the best person for that. Think he would have loved to do more Steve Irwin type stuff but reached people by creating an environment where they could experience touching reptiles in person.
I used those exact words in a comment i made in another video. It could be used to help when a tough decision needs to be made in regards to our lives and the lives of our pets, reptilesor not. "What would Brian do?" is one of my new things to think about. Sure, in the past I've heard he made mistakes. OH MY GOD!!😳REALLY!!!???? yep. He's a human being..(.well he WAS one, now he's a Boss Angel!!) When he made mistakes, he owned it and learned the lesson and moved on. P.s. i let Jay know how i feel about some of his content. I really took too heart what you said about people NOT SHOWING reptiles off in the best possible light! Thank you for the encouragement.
We all are a "work in progress." Always learning, making mistakes. I'm old, past 50, and still feel like a toddler sometimes! Lol Thank you, Tim, for this message. I became a "foster mom" for Booboo, my son's Ball. Then I took in Kah, another Ball Python. Through the years, I've learned from 4 reptile sites I watch. I don't comment much. I think it must be very time-consuming to read all the comments for All of You RUclips people and you're busy enough taking care of all your reptiles! Thank you so much I've learned from you and Brian and Jay's Prehistoric Pets and one more whose name I can't remember right now😮
I never got the opportunity to meet Brian but man was he a big Inspiration for me and what he taught on his videos was definitely one of my top reasons why I got into keeping reptiles, and actually I got my male yellowbelly from Brian. I followed him on fb, ig, RUclips since 2014-15 and it was always a dream to go and visit the rwptarium and get the chance to meet him. It really is sad to have lost such an icon in the hobby but if we the community pass on what we've learned from him to others, in a way he'll live on. I still follow his channel and his son and crew are doing an amazing job with the reptarium and the construction of the legasea. I'm sure Brian would be more than proud as to what's going on with all the above.
My black African house snake, Wednesday, came from Brian’s breeding projects, and she is an amazing animal. Brian’s team has been very helpful and supportive in her care, and they have always been happy to hear updates on her. Great points in your video. I love your focus on building each other up.
This is a great video. Thank you. Brian was such a huge influence in our lives. We're definitely a work in progress. We're trying to on a small scale to do what Brian did. Educate and help people understand that Reptiles are important.
Brian’s goodness can be felt when watching his enthusiasm in the community. I try to use his example when I come across ppl who automatically dislike the hobby for no reason other than stereotypical thinking that reptiles are gross and first instinct is to kill them 😑 In response, I describe mine as a living garden. My snakes are well kept and given respect. I know their language and contrary to what some folks think, my snakes know me.
My heart goes out to Lori & the rest of the family ❤ Btw, I am one of those people who were afraid of snakes 🐍 & have been treated with nothing but kindness here ❤
Agree. I told you before that people will go to you and love you and you are doing good man keep it up ❤. People need to understand the who what where and why
I for one am very impressed with how much Noah has grown up over the last couple years. Brian did an excellent job and of course Lori. Lori is one of the strongest woman on the planet she had to be to deal with Brian lol. The channel will grow it will continue to educate be funny and entertain and Noah and the crew will see to honor Brian's memory the best they can. I think Noah will be very successful he is a smart young man and like he said his dad had dreams and Noah has dreams of his own and I'm sure he does and I'm sure they are great I mean they gotta be look who he has had to look up to.
Well said!! All of us will make mistakes in our lives. It’s what we do to change, so we don’t keep making the same mistakes. Helping others learn through our own mistakes is something we should all do. I think that’s something Brian did and we need more of that. I learned a lot from Brian and am thankful for that! I didn’t feel less important just being a Ball Python owner vs someone who has a huge collection or following. We’re all in this together and you can’t make your light shine brighter by blowing out someone else’s flame. I learn a lot from you too. Thanks to you as well! ✌🏼💜
Great, great points, man. We all make mistakes and do stupid stuff, but if we can try to grow and learn from them, that is what matters. I need to keep that in mind more often, so thanks for the reminder.
I don't even know why I am grieving over somebody I never even met. I only know him through his videos. God he was a good person he Me fall in love with reptiles. I start watching him Two thousand eighteen And I got a leopard gecko because of him. And I still have a her name's charlie and she's a lepregecko Although my health isn't doing really good and I didn't need to find her a really good home. She aint doing good either. I don't know what's wrong with her. She usually eats during this time of year but now all the sudden she's not And I know the burmate but she never did But yeah, I am grieving over somebody. I never even met and I've never done that before, I've never done that too famous people that I really like to cherish but there's something about Brian just something about him. He's an amazing person and you know I think a lot of it has to do with my mom died when she was 48 from cancer. Noah Is the same age I was when my mom died. I am 43 years old almost 44 and my mom passed away when I was 25 almost 26. Actually, today is her anniversary, Of her passing. January 26th 2006.
Oh he's OK, that snake is my neediest animal in the house. Anytime he sees me come in the room he perks up and runs the glass waiting for me to let him out. He's just wondering why I'm there and his door is still closed, lol.
The world is better for having had Brian in it. Let's carry his passion and kindness forward.
I love whose behind you crying silently, "Dad!!! LET ME OUT!!!"😅
Brian a genuine human that lived his life to the fullest this world will miss him every day

Oh he's OK, that snake is my neediest animal in the house. Anytime he sees me come in the room he perks up and runs the glass waiting for me to let him out. He's just wondering why I'm there and his door is still closed, lol.
I think your snake wants out the viv
desperately! lol
The fact that his snake wants to be with him that badly says a lot about the man.
