Thanks for the Information. For me one Information consideration is securing my go to guns when I am not at home. Then quick access or unlocking them when I get home. Otherwise they cannot be deployed immediately.
I'm pretty much live and let live on snakes, here in rural/suburban Central Maryland, but draw the line if something venomous wants to take up housekeeping where the kids or livestock live... then they gotta go!
I have two Benelli M4geries (Turknellis). I've about doubled the price on upgrades and US parts to make them 922(R) compliant. That's still 1/4 of thr price of the "real deal" and I'd bet my life on either one. I also did an M3 clone and it was A LOT more work. Cool shotgun, glad I did it as I've owned, and sold, two real ones. Wouldn't necessarily RECOMMEND even the tricked out M3 clone but I'd use it for "real." Have a real M1 Super 90 as well (third one Ive owned). NOT getting rid of it but I think I like my tricked-out "fakes" best.
I did the EXACT THING as Will with my kids. Guns were always around, no FACINATION, no SECRET etc. NOT left accessible to them, ALWAYS available to handle under supervision. Just like a hot stove, a staircase, or a kitchen knife, they knew they COULD hurt you if used carelessly. I did occasionally, INTERNATIONALLY, leave UNLOADED guns out to see what would happen.......NOTHING! HOWEVER other people's kids are a DIFFERENT STORY!!!!!!! My youngest son built a gun out of Legos in Kindergarten. The teacher knew us WELL due to the older two kids having been through her class. She related the story to my Wife..... " I said, Deizel, you can't makes guns at school." He looked up at me like I was the DUMBEST person in the UNIVERSE and said, "It's not REAL!"
I have no kids at home and the grandkids are mostly in another state. I have a Glock 27 with a laser in the nightstand. I also have no less than 2 flash lights on or in the same drawer. Otherwise, if I am dressed I have a Hellcat with a red dot on me inside or outside the house. I don't have any long guns in ready condition outside of the safe since I live in a small house. If I need a rifle at hime the fecal matter has long since hit the air motivator.
I couldn't BELIEVE how disarmed Israel was. 30 years ago it was WAY different! I knew they went stoopud liberal but didn't realize HOW FAR! They're are only 7.3 guns per 100 people. They not long ago raised the ammo limit from 50 rounds to 100 rounds.....JEEEEEEEZ!!!!!
