I wish music like this would come back. I truly believe that people in general would be a lot happier. The pop music of today is so depressing. They either whine or they scream and shout into a microphone, singing about really crude and depressing stuff.
Truth be told everyones impression was spot on. Timing, dynamics the whole 9. But on the Oscar and Tatum impression the only lacked the hand strength and sheer finger weight to key velocity. But those guys could literally crush your hand if you shook it but this took time, effort and study. Well done bravo!!!!☺️

As soon as I saw the first chord on the Barry Harris version, I knew just how much time and effort you've spent listening to these great players and absorbing their styles. Major chord a half step under a major 7 chord is quintessential Barry Harris, and he talks about that very chord and style in his masterclasses about this song. Really great job on this, Jimin. Thank you for a wonderful summation of what makes these players great. Their harmonic interpretations are theirs not just a replay of someone else's. A lesson in music improvisation not regurgitation - to quote Miles Davis "you can play anything so long as you remember where home is"
