Jessie spent a long time by the very best Heisenberg and learned more then anyone gives him credit for he became much more intelligent after his time with the Greatest cook of all time
They did threaten her by placing that picture near Jesse's workspace. After Jesse tried to escape they killed her to prove that they don't take any "half measures" and they'd kill her son next if he does it again.
That scene of his girl being off'd in front of him is just haunting. It's one thing to see it on TV and in movies, but it's another when you're the one tied up and you can't do anything about it.
Have avoided that scene for years and seeing it here sent me right back. Only other scene in tht show tht had the same acfect was the OD scene. Fuck everyone in tht show jessies actual beatings are nothing conpared to the metephorical ones.

A lot of people forget, Jesse was a damn highschool student in Walters class. Like not even 10 years before all this if I’m remembering right. Idk it’s just something in his story that seeks important to me
Jesse will always be my favorite character. I'm sure many fans of the show agree. His journey, growth and then concurrent tribulations he had to endure; It's fucking intense. Also definitely glad they released El Camino. Definitely a well deserved closure to this man's story
Todd has always been my favorite secondary character in Breaking Bad. He was an absolute psycho but always presented himself as a kind and moral man. I especially loved the overwhelming sense of admiration he felt towards Walt and Jesse. Todd destroyed Jesse but it was his attempt to save Jesse's life. Even after Jesse ratted out Todd to the DEA and absolutely trashed Todd on video, Todd did everything he could to protect Jesse. Such a great character. You absolutely hate him but you wanna like him

Sure, Jesse was a better cook but with Heisenberg gone, Todd's cook was the next best thing. But instead Todd demanded his uncle give Walt one of those barrels and manipulated his uncle to keep in the meth business to keep Jesse alive. Todd only turned on Walt on Lydia's behalf because of his infatuation with her. He's an evil son of a bitch but he really did have a big heart.
Jessie certainly got the brunt of the evil in this amazing program. Kudos to Gillifan, the writers and Jesse and Mr. White . Incredible continuity, acting, and scripting.
he got the best outcome out of all of this though, he was free, unlike most of the characters. walt jr and skyler will live their life as the family of a meth kingpin, but that's just one example
