Been using the Fantech ATO MP905 (KANAGAWA Fish WAVE) for a few months now....beautiful pad and hell cheap! Just received an Aria and it just replaced my beloved Orochi v2!
Hey Fresh, Really "fiending" for your next IEM video and looking forward to future comparisons. I tried out a few pairs on your recommended tier list and unfortunately I haven't found one that suited me yet.
Here is my personal experience if anyone is curious with Artisan (Zero & Hien): Before i start: My aim/mousepad is highly affected by humidity and temperature-COLD=FAST, HOT=SLOW MICES: GXP wireless, Zowie EC2, Glorious D MOUSEPADS: Qck+ heavy & HyperX First: my speed background.. Example: CSGO (RANK: Global Faceit:6) (400DPI around 2SENS)I love fast movement&speed So.. I HATE fast mousepads.. been looking for a slow to medium one -------------------- I ordered: Zero(slow) and Hien(fast - cuz maybe i'm stupid and everyone is right about speed) I started with Hien and it felt super fast and rigid so i just threw it back in the package and didn't use it anymore Then i use Zero and it felt slow-medium high ------------------- [Zero] After a month or so (while using Zero) it felt SUPER DAM FAST!!!.. it also highly affected by temperature (normal temp AC off: 27-30=SLOW AC on = Super dam FAST) when i get home after 8 hours of high room temperature it feels normal. i start playing and it becomes super dam slow after couple of hours of moving the mouse - [Hien] so, a friend of mine asked me if i like my Hien and if its good.. i told him that its fast and he might find difficulties using it.. and he ended up buying it.. he started using it and he felt so so much better and he said that its fast yet you can do flicks/stop strangely on target.. And he confessed me to use it again.. and i found myself doing 180s and aiming just better! and it has been about 3 months of me using Hien.. BUT.. it has the same problem.. or at least its better.. since the mousepad it fast and temp is high.. it just gets to medium speed.. and when the AC is on its a SPEEDRUN Any% situation.. ------------------- [NOW] .. I started using Raw Accel with slight starting accel and that just make it more playable.. ... when i want to play.. i just move my mouse for 5 seconds and that 5 seconds will determine whether or not i would be playing! Conclusion: I DO CLEAN MY MOUSEPADS and it doesn't matter.. it changes literally the next day.. Finally: I'm crazy.. i might order the Artisan Raiden XSOFT
is spinout still a problem on these? Im using a superlight and read about spinouts with the raiden also heared that they made an upgrade on the raiden but not sure if it completly fixed the issue, hopefully if i order i dont get an old non upgraded version
my brother in christ im trying to order this mousepad from the artisan website but i dont see the stitching thats on yours in the video (the xsoft) it looks different on the website, i dont know which one to get LOL. why couldn't you link it in your description brother???
for those wondering and want an update- the pad came in and it is easily the best pad ive ever used. if you're on the fence, just buy it. there's 0% chance you'll regret the purchase. i use a viper v2 pro with tiger ice skates and it is the smoothest thing ive ever felt.
@0:41 what is that mouse in the bottom right also im a huge artisan shidenkai fan paired with my g pro superlight with glass skates its just simply amazing
Nice :) have u tried superglides on raiden? Currently im using x2 mini with superglides on hien xsoft and it glides like butter but im wondering how it is on raiden? :) didnt even know my table was tilting but my mouse is moving on its own xD
Great review as always! Would you recommend this for cod/warzone? Also what about games like valorant/csgo? I play apex too so may get it anyways but just curious. How is the wear on it as well, like in terms of how it feels when you first got it compared to how it feels now.
raiden?? that seems hella fast. You know, i'd bet most of csgo players would never consider such fast pads. My favourite one - xraypad equate white. Perfect in everything i want from a mousepad + 50x50 is crucial for me.
It’s really interesting. I thought the raiden was going to be INSANELY fast. But the revised version in xsoft is actually really a balanced on slow movements!
What's your way of deep cleaning raiden pads? The way I clean my xsoft otsu is with water, mild soap and gentle scrubing with soft sponge. Will this method degrade the raiden?
Yeah but does it spin out on 3389? My old mid Raiden is unusable because all mice I enjoy (Roccat, Vaxee, Gwolves, Xtrfy) all use 3389. The old one would have been my #1 pad too. But it just doesnt work with my #1-5 mice
Just an FYI, I ordered from Artisan recently and it was only like $60, which is on par or cheaper than buying from lethal. You hafta wait 2 to 3 weeks to get your pad, but you don't know how long till lethal gaming will restock them. Highly recommended if you're looking for an Artisan from the states.
Love ur content mate! Curious which control pad u found the best? im looking for a pad with solid stopping power that doesnt have the huge mud feeling.
if you were to mainly play just Valorant, which Artisan pad would you go with? Most people would say the Zero but i find it impossible to track with, so I use an Artisan Hien soft as It has stopping power and can be smoother to glide on. Would you suggest the raiden xsoft for Valorant?
I thought I was the only one that thought the zero felt way too fast… I have a hien soft & the control/stopping power is far better compared to my Xsoft zero, considering it’s said that the zero is the slowest threw me off. I’ve even heard some reviewers say that the zero is “slower” than the gsr-se rogue, & I’m just like HOW D:
The raiden xsoft for me right now works extremely good for valorant. But, it will feel naturally faster than something like a zero. If you do like the hien for valorant though I do think the revised raiden xsoft could work for you.Again just keep in mind it may take a few hours to slow down
Does this give that air hockey puck feel? I think that's what I experienced from glass skates on cordura and it was an interesting experience. I think I personally prefer some texture though in the long run.
@@comkioxd thank you for the feedback. Im considering an odin actually. Until Lgg releases the Mercury pro which is gonna take a while from what I've read
You have used a lot of pads, im on the raiden xsoft right now, love almost everything about it and i agree about all your opinions on the raiden but because of how soft the raiden xsoft is i can feel my mouse scaping ONLY when im spraying in CS and val. I have already tried the raiden mid but its a bit too fast and hard for me. Any suggestions for a pad with just a slightly firmer base raiden? Wish they made a raiden soft...
Hard to find pads with similar textures / textiles. If you like the speed you can try the equate plus v2 or the new 4114 aero. Infinity mice speed or lei ling from esptiger

Do you know if Raiden is the fastest pure cloth pad (non hard pads/hybrid, just pure cloth)? I am using a Razer Strider right now but I am looking for a faster cloth pad
my QC has no issues so far! My only complaint would be the default skates. They seem to scratch quite easy! My clicks though are VERY good. I hear a lot of issues from people getting copies with clicks that feel off though
I'm kind of opposite.. I use f-tip grip and like the G303 SE but currently using HSK wireless with 3370 on Raiden Mid. Friend of mine purchased the Raiden XSoft off me and I kinda miss it a bit but didn't give it a lot of time because I like harder surfaces like Skypad 2.0 and 3.0 and that may just be my preference. I could def see myself maining the Raiden XSoft though
did you ever compare with the lamzu energon? I've had and really enjoyed my raiden xsoft for a while but hard for me to tell if it's getting slow spots so was considering picking up an energon
@@FreshReviewsYT Love you too man! Im thinking of getting the raiden but in your experience does it feel as good with glass skates or the same with corepad skatez?
unrelated but, how is the longevity of the gsr se rouge? and are there any control pad that is between the normal gsr and the ikea pad? or any pad just a bit slower than the ikea pad in general? I mained the normal gsr for awhile now and i just tried the ikea pad and i like the feel of it but its a bit fast and im looking for something little slower than the ikea pad
Is raiden's surface vulnerable to crease like the other Artisan models? I had a hien and otsu before and they both got creased when I rolled them up and threw them in my backpack. I wonder if it a surface or base thing. Also, I don't know if you mentioned it in the video, but how does the pad go with glass skates?
They're well made but it's also consumable why would I pay 100$ every two months Zowie has much more realistic prices at 20$ dollars and I buy them every 3 months and they feel almost identical
Hey I’ve been using the Logitech G640 for many years now and I cannot use any other mousepad, can you recommend any of these premium mousepads that are similar? Thank you
Very good review. I can tell you have done your 'repetition' and market research. Would you also recommend the mouse pad for FPS games where tracking is not the most important, but sling/flick shots, and holding angles are more important, like CS:GO?
@@FreshReviewsYT thank you for your answer. I don't know if you know of the "Hoya mouse pad master sheet", but under Raiden and quirks, some people report the mouse spinning out because of the odd pattern of the Raiden. Have you ever experienced that? Eg. with the Starlight Tenz Pro?
Hey Fresh Reviews, me and another follower asked you on twitch for your opinion on rawaccel. I just wanted to ask you if you‘ve already watched KovaaK‘s video about it?
In my experience, the Raiden Mid was extremely fast, I had one from 2020. Compared to my New Hayate Otsu Mid from 2021 it was an entirely different experience, the Otsu Mid feeling akin to a Zero. Keep in mind though, the Artisan surfaces feel and respond much differently with the different sponge densities, especially the pads that aren’t the Hien. The XSoft Otsu I have almost feels faster and smoother, and I would imagine the Raiden in XSoft is a whole new beast, being less air hockey like and more buttery and controlled on stopping. I haven’t received it yet, although I did order one a couple weeks ago. The moment you think you’ve tried each pad, you realize they all come in different bases and it’s tempting to buy more.
@@nyororomeowelas1225 I literally have the zero, otsu v2 and hien in all variants. I just never got the raiden or shin due to them being labeled as much speedier pads. But if the xsoft raiden is more controlled with the speed of hien then I'll def pick it up.
Heard of spinout problems using the gpx superlight on the raiden and was wondering if you have had that problem and if not what mouse feet do you use on them?

But a piece of paper can be one of the mousepads ever.
Two Qs - If you mained tac shooters, which artisan would you recommend? And 2, which skates do you recommend on the raiden.
Hello!
I own the Artisan Zero Soft XL Black and really love it while I also pre-ordered the Artisan Zero Soft XL Daidai Orange just because I like the unique color.
But I'm thinking about getting Raiden XSoft and Hien as well but having a hard time deciding between Soft and Mid, which one do you think I should get?
he explains it pretty much in the video. Smaller mice go xsoft and larger mice go mid.
If you want more speed mid. If you want a little more control soft.
Been using the Fantech ATO MP905 (KANAGAWA Fish WAVE) for a few months now....beautiful pad and hell cheap! Just received an Aria and it just replaced my beloved Orochi v2!
Let’s go!
Hey Fresh,
Really "fiending" for your next IEM video and looking forward to future comparisons. I tried out a few pairs on your recommended tier list and unfortunately I haven't found one that suited me yet.
More coming asap
@@FreshReviewsYT looking forward to it! Thanks man 👍
I was genuinely curious what you were going to list, and you listed my mousepad XD
Let's go Fresh! My top 3 pads are the new Raiden xsoft (Raiden v2?), Otsu Xsoft, and Lethal Saturn Pro 👍
What comparison can you give me about the raiden and the Saturn pro?
Here is my personal experience if anyone is curious with Artisan (Zero & Hien):
Before i start: My aim/mousepad is highly affected by humidity and temperature-COLD=FAST, HOT=SLOW
MICES: GXP wireless, Zowie EC2, Glorious D
MOUSEPADS: Qck+ heavy & HyperX
First: my speed background.. Example: CSGO (RANK: Global Faceit:6) (400DPI around 2SENS)I love fast movement&speed So.. I HATE fast mousepads.. been looking for a slow to medium one
--------------------
I ordered: Zero(slow) and Hien(fast - cuz maybe i'm stupid and everyone is right about speed)
I started with Hien and it felt super fast and rigid so i just threw it back in the package and didn't use it anymore
Then i use Zero and it felt slow-medium high
-------------------
[Zero]
After a month or so (while using Zero) it felt SUPER DAM FAST!!!.. it also highly affected by temperature (normal temp AC off: 27-30=SLOW AC on = Super dam FAST)
when i get home after 8 hours of high room temperature it feels normal. i start playing and it becomes super dam slow after couple of hours of moving the mouse
-
[Hien]
so, a friend of mine asked me if i like my Hien and if its good.. i told him that its fast and he might find difficulties using it..
and he ended up buying it.. he started using it and he felt so so much better and he said that its fast yet you can do flicks/stop strangely on target..
-------------------
[NOW] ..
😂
is spinout still a problem on these? Im using a superlight and read about spinouts with the raiden also heared that they made an upgrade on the raiden but not sure if it completly fixed the issue, hopefully if i order i dont get an old non upgraded version
I was fine on the new version
whats your favorite mouse atm? ios that black one in the video a gpx or pulsar?cant tell
my brother in christ im trying to order this mousepad from the artisan website but i dont see the stitching thats on yours in the video (the xsoft) it looks different on the website, i dont know which one to get LOL. why couldn't you link it in your description brother???
Order the fx raiden xsoft for the border stitching.
@@Azrael32 i ended up ordering the raiden directly from artisans website. too bad the shipping is gonna take 3+ weeks...
for those wondering and want an update- the pad came in and it is easily the best pad ive ever used. if you're on the fence, just buy it. there's 0% chance you'll regret the purchase. i use a viper v2 pro with tiger ice skates and it is the smoothest thing ive ever felt.
Nice review! about to cop one. What size are you using in this video?
I believe 490x420
@0:41 what is that mouse in the bottom right also im a huge artisan shidenkai fan paired with my g pro superlight with glass skates its just simply amazing
Instantly bought this on Amazon for 90$ based solely off your incredible video and analysis. Can’t wait to play with it!
Let’s gooooo!
how's the durability on yours, now that time has passed? Also, how often do you clean/wash it? Just got one today!
The durability is good. It does get dirty a bit faster than most artisan pads. It slows the pad a little. But overall the pad remains great
Just got the Raiden after this review! What mousefeet do you recommend for this pad?
Nice :) have u tried superglides on raiden? Currently im using x2 mini with superglides on hien xsoft and it glides like butter but im wondering how it is on raiden? :) didnt even know my table was tilting but my mouse is moving on its own xD
Great review as always! Would you recommend this for cod/warzone? Also what about games like valorant/csgo? I play apex too so may get it anyways but just curious. How is the wear on it as well, like in terms of how it feels when you first got it compared to how it feels now.
It slows down a bit. But still feels great. It is good for apex and warzone and should be fine for tac shooters
@@FreshReviewsYT great! Thank you for the quick reply!
was thinking of getting a raiden for a while. definitely getting one in the future!
raiden?? that seems hella fast.
The xsoft gets slower after about 15 hours of use
Where can you buy the revised version of the Raiden?
Artisan. Lethal and potentially amazon
I have super glide skates should I get the hein or raided
Is it worth upgrading to the revised version if I already have the old one and love it?
Thanks for the fresh video 🤙. Which skates would you recommend for the Raiden Xsoft?
I believe I used tiger ice or btl
@@FreshReviewsYT Just got the pad. Loving it really. Any recommendations on how to clean it whitout damaging?
Talk about timing, I ordered the Xsoft yesterday :D
How does it compare to the Skypad 3.0?
I’d say better control tbh and of course way more comfort. Speed is still there when you need it
do you still recommend the hd560s over the tygr 300r? i mainly play competitive Valorant and I don't have an amp.
did u buy one already? i have both
What's your way of deep cleaning raiden pads? The way I clean my xsoft otsu is with water, mild soap and gentle scrubing with soft sponge. Will this method degrade the raiden?
Yeah but does it spin out on 3389?
My old mid Raiden is unusable because all mice I enjoy (Roccat, Vaxee, Gwolves, Xtrfy) all use 3389.
The old one would have been my #1 pad too. But it just doesnt work with my #1-5 mice
There have been no reported spinouts yet (that I’ve seen)
Went ahead & bought the last one in stock on Amazon 🙏 . Love your take on gaming peripherals man, keep being you ✌️
Tysm! Just remember to match up the logo as the new version!
I do enjoy the lethal Saturn and artisan zero
if you were to mainly play just Valorant, which Artisan pad would you go with?
Most people would say the Zero but i find it impossible to track with, so I use an Artisan Hien soft as It has stopping power and can be smoother to glide on. Would you suggest the raiden xsoft for Valorant?
its good tho, but you must reduce sensitivity than usual
What would be a good alternative for something that is in-stock? For both the Raiden and the Hien
@@comkioxd thank you for the feedback. Im considering an odin actually. Until Lgg releases the Mercury pro which is gonna take a while from what I've read
I’m playing Warzone only, which variant that u would recommend for speed? Hien? Which one is close to Vancer Ice?
Shidenkai v2
@@FreshReviewsYT no stock in SEA countries 😂
Are you still using glass skates on this pad? Do you prefer glass on this pad or the Pulsar Cordura pad still?
For glass I like hard hybrid pads and cordura. Like the locus gg pad or walhaut etc
I have a Raiden Mid and loving it. But I still wanna try Wuxiang 2 and Vancer Ace too.
Dude. Been using the hien xsoft for a year now and have recently just wanted to change to the raiden and it's been sitting in my basket along with the lamzu atlantis and then BOOM you upload back to back vids praising them ... guess its a buy
How would you compare this to the Cerapad Kin?
A fresh awesome review just a quick question can you Confirm if the raiden still causes spin outs on the logitech sensors I had that issue with my G303 shroud on the raiden mid and mpc 1200
No spinouts on my gpx. Will try g303 later
@@FreshReviewsYT Thank you so much I've been hesitant to go back to that pad But it was my favorite pad hands down even compared to the MPC pad and the venus
Great video as always. On your mouse mains, do you prefer the viper v2 or dav3?
I seem to be using the dave more in pubs but the viper v2 more in ranked.
@@FreshReviewsYT Oh what causes this discrepancy?
Looking to get the raiden. How would you compare it to the artisan zero soft/lgg glass skate combo?
Hey Fresh, could you make a "best small mice list" or ftip list?
Hey Fresh i commented earlier that i was going to order this pad but it was Never in stock for me. Since then i started playing more tac-shooters and so i thought i should get a more controled pad and got myself a Saturn pro. Turns out i really dont like it that much and went back to my old favorite Odin Infinity v1. Do you think this Raiden would be the way to go since i seem to be most comfortable with around that amount of speed? Thanks again for all the amazing content 👍
Raiden xsoft is an amazing pad
Nice gif running on the cpu cooler, i zoomed in on yt app and saw the 3 creatures looking @ laptop screens wow-ing face. I am noob, don't know from what movie is that clip.
Is it TNMT ?
Yea lol
hi, ordered the Raiden soft for my xlite v3 mini what skates would you recommend to replace stock ones ? i like speed , just new to all these pads/skates tech so no idea what skates are best for this pad mouse combo, what would you get for yourself and how bad stock skates are? love ur vids!
Thanks! Tiger ice v2 is great or the xraypad skates that released recently
Ghost glide cyclones are nice also
Awesome vid! Any further alternatives to the Raiden?
Lethal gaming gear MIGHT have one coming.
Do you know if Raiden is the fastest pure cloth pad (non hard pads/hybrid, just pure cloth)? I am using a Razer Strider right now but I am looking for a faster cloth pad
Raiden mid for sure
hey question we have the same camera, do you mind to share your settings?
Awesome video my guy, also, does your QC still hold up on your X2 Medium? Looking to pick it up here in UK when Amazon stock is up!
my QC has no issues so far! My only complaint would be the default skates. They seem to scratch quite easy! My clicks though are VERY good. I hear a lot of issues from people getting copies with clicks that feel off though
Fresh is awesome, covers high end audio, peripherals... have Bojji as his wallpaper, 10/10 cool person
❤️
Just found the video - quick question would you recommend the raiden xsoft for TacFPS (valorant) or zero soft?
Either one tbh
@@FreshReviewsYT Appreciate the quick response! Any reason why either one would work or is it more based on if you want more speed or control.
I see this mousepad from Amazon do you think It's the revised one?
What are the differences between the old raiden and this raiden, the revised version of it and is there any spinout ?
Raiden with superglide? how does it work for you? do you prefer other skates for this pad?
I like ptfe on this one
did you ever compare with the lamzu energon? I've had and really enjoyed my raiden xsoft for a while but hard for me to tell if it's getting slow spots so was considering picking up an energon
I didn’t like the energon
@@FreshReviewsYT oh how come? It seems to be a slightly slower Raiden
thoughts on the raiden compared to xten and Saturn pro?
Love my Saturn and would like to hear a comparison as well.
First! Also stop making me spend money man! Oh and should I just buy the corepad skatez for my deathadder v3 pro or wait for pulsar glass skates?
hahahaha. Love you bro!
I mained the normal gsr for awhile now and i just tried the ikea pad and i like the feel of it but its a bit fast and im looking for something little slower than the ikea pad
how do you deal with dust buildup on the mousepad? how do you wash the pads? i'm interested in the maintenance of these pads?
lint roller the best way for sure, i roll mine before every session and it improves glide to a slight degree as well with the removed dust
IK this isnt related to the video but do you have any IEM videos coming out in the future?
Very soon!
Correct. It’s the foam, these particular pads aren’t meant to be rolled so it will crease for sure
How long will the pad stay consistent for ? I'm hesitant to change from the GSR as it stay well for around 4 months
They're well made but it's also consumable why would I pay 100$ every two months Zowie has much more realistic prices at 20$ dollars and I buy them every 3 months and they feel almost identical
An artisan costs $50 at lethal. I’ll let you know how long it lasts but I’m at two months and kicking already
Hey I’ve been using the Logitech G640 for many years now and I cannot use any other mousepad, can you recommend any of these premium mousepads that are similar? Thank you
If you like that feel, try a Vaxee PA with whatever design you like. Solid pad that has a nice cloth feel
Very good review. I can tell you have done your 'repetition' and market research.
Would you also recommend the mouse pad for FPS games where tracking is not the most important, but sling/flick shots, and holding angles are more important, like CS:GO?
In xsoft yes. In mid I would not
@@FreshReviewsYT thank you for your answer. I don't know if you know of the "Hoya mouse pad master sheet", but under Raiden and quirks, some people report the mouse spinning out because of the odd pattern of the Raiden. Have you ever experienced that? Eg. with the Starlight Tenz Pro?
@@1337jusTi I’ve had no spinouts on the revised raiden
Would you still recommend it, or are there better options now?
Still a great pad. I now use it in soft
Have you ever tried sapphire skates with artisan xsoft pads? I am afraid it may dig into it and cause issues
Hey Fresh Reviews,
me and another follower asked you on twitch for your opinion on rawaccel. I just wanted to ask you if you‘ve already watched KovaaK‘s video about it?
I have! I used their video to begin my testing for rotation changes
@@FreshReviewsYT Thanks for your answer, sounds great! Wishing you the best results
How do the Raiden Xsoft and Mid compare to the LGG Mercury?
Interesting always thought it was a speedier pad. Gonna have to cop this on the next lgg artisan group buy.
Zero issues. I use either corepads or BTL
I went from my old Raiden Mid to a Skypad 3. Maybe I should grab this and give it a try for just a touch more precision.
Have you tried the Xsoft version and do you like it better than the Mid version?
How does that feel between skypad and raiden!? I dont know which to choose!
Hi Fresh, better raiden xsoft or xten control for valorant?
I am able to use the raiden in all titles
Your referring to the Raiden classic and not fx right?
The revised version is the fx. The pictures haven’t been updated on artisans website
@@FreshReviewsYT oh. I ordered the classic because it said new.
@@expert8665 super confusing on their site
@@FreshReviewsYT For sure.
