Great review/reaction ! Rachel's rendition of Lucy Gray's 'The Hanging Tree' gives me chills also. Lucy Gray is a mercurial character, that is how Rachel is playing her. Between the book, the cast and the feel of this trailer I think this could be a really good movie, best of the bunch. The trick will be to somehow convey the essence of Snow's internal dialog to the audience. If they succeed, the ending will be quite poignant. Rachel Zegler is perfectly cast as Lucy Gray Baird who flirts with everybody, is 16 going on 35 according to the Dinklage character. She sings some songs from the book which one of the movie producers describes: ' “Rachel often would opt not to do playback, and just sing it live. Often, after they would call cut, people would just go bananas clapping!” Those live on-set vocals will be included in the final product - and there’s one scene in particular that Jacobson’s especially excited for: “The big finale moment…un-fucking-believable. Her voice is jaw-dropping.” '' I am very much looking forward to the movie and will see it in the theater, probably more than once.
