I have play this game it was awesome
Bro play gta 4 it’s a pretty sick game
Can’t wait to see the rest of you playing this great game. I’ve watched Markimoo and others play it when it was released, I’m excited to see your reactions through this playthrough. 🤠🥰
I’m so excited for the rest of your live streams, so excited for your actual review video when you finish the game.
You will remember Arthur Morgan & John Marston forever now after finishing both Red Dead games.
Every part of the map tells a story, such is the detail in this game. Most people are not patient enough to notice it. The wildlife animation and depth is better than a hunting simulator.
The strange man on RUclips helps out a lot
My friend, when I saw a possum pretend to be dead, my head exploded
Agreed, its rare you see games with this detail level and love
@@yanamaraldoescher5259 I love them because you go to pick them up and they just kinda squeak at you
Most people play games for gameplay, and rdr2 dont got it.
I cannot emphasize how crucial the side missions are to the story a lot of them were cut from the main story to reduce playtime but they're fun as well as giving a lot of insights into the character of Arthur
were they really?
@@goodmoney2998yes the debt collections and chapter 6 side missions are crucial to arthur's character development
Theres also optional parts of the main story that add a lot of depth
@@Garland846 what if you don't do them?
@@goodmoney2998 well you miss them and the experience is much lesser for it... the added character context makes the story wayy better
This game still looks so damn good graphically 5 years later
The crazy part is it's still pretty taxing on PC hardware nowadays. I Played through my first time on an Xbox One. Had an amazing time, went back after playing on PC for a few years and I just couldn't. The PS5 and my new PC make it look absolutely amazing on 2k and 4k.
@@alteredcarnate3445pc you can use mods though although they’re really hard to do like the Micah mod.
@@alteredcarnate3445I'm running a ddr3 motherboard with a 960 Ti with an amd 8350 and it runs perfect for an old pc like mine.
@@yoshpeters3079not hard at all , it's basically just download a bunch of stuff and put it on the main RDR2 folder where RDR2.exe is located , it's extremely easy actually and can make the game way more fun .... Thats why i play it on PC
@@alteredcarnate3445 the crazy thing is that its not taxing on PC I can get 112fps and my rig isnt that powerful. Its just a well optimized game, though wouldn't want to play it on PS5.
The craziest thing about this video is how he managed to avoid spoilers for this long
I can’t believe he didn’t know what lumbago was!
Eh, gotta be for entertainment purposes. No way a guy as plugged into the video game world as Act Man is can go this long without anything being spoiled.
Yeah this felt artificial af
@@mottolikedemchunky2188 It's as artificial as my glass eye.
@@jakesevere9165 I tried my absolute best because i was always planning on playing it but its literally impossible to not see the words "arthur dies" if you are at all active in the gaming world
Finally. He is playing my favorite game of all time. Have fun and explore the open-world, since it is better than many expect.
Good opinion.
Better than payday3??
@@CharlieKellyEsqwow, you’re so quirky!
It is my least favorite game of all time. The open world is amazing though.
@@jakeisonfire4138 Your opinion doesn't match mine, therefore it's invalid.
This game's story is unmatched. Its up there with some of the best westerns. Say what you want about Rockstar, but there's no doubt that their developers have true talent.

Rdr2 is a modern art masterpiece. Just walking around Saint Denis at night and seeing what happens - so engrossing in the RPG aspect. No other game make you feel like you're playing in a movie quite like red dead 2. The comment about being able to erase your memory and playing for the first time - spot on.

The piece that kicks in at 2:36 is one of my all-time favorites from any video game score. I remember how excited my brothers and I were for this game, and when it came out and I watched my brother play this opening. Our minds were blown by how good the snow looked as it moved beneath Arthur's feet. That was an unreal night.
Listen to the Man with the Harmonica theme from Once Upon a Time in the West - Ennio Morricone. 1968. Thank me later.
Do you know how its called
The ost is a masterpiece. One of my favorite moments was when "The course of true love" started playing when riding back through the fields of Rhodes and the sun was setting. Beautiful game that really takes it time with little moments that become very memorable.
RDR2 has such a good score, I routinely listen to it
@@AssClapCowboythat song always reminds me of muse now 😂
I played a ton of RDR2, both the story & the multiplayer. I think you're going to really enjoy it, it's an absolute emotional rollercoaster

I love how much detail is in this game from mud prints being left by your horse to john and Arthur's deadeye having a difrent sound effect
True, too bad there was so much crunch for people making the game though
it's always nice when you jus be like "what the fuck, you could do that??"
Tbh I started playing this game last summer and I was amaaazed. Sadly I had to put it off for the next summer due to intensive work schedule, but I really felt this game was worth ones full time and dedication to truly immerse oneself into the story and the world. Like the initial comment said, it's a game worth forgetting only so you can play it again as if it were the first time. Such an incredible and memorable experience. Best game I've ever played in my 33yr old life. Hands down, this is a masterpiece.
Having it be a prequel makes it so much cooler. My sister only played 2. So when she played 1 she had so much more context and was more invested in the villains.
I fell in love with this game back in 2020. Took me a month before i finally beat it and one of the best games i have ever played.
Literally did nothing but go to work and sit on my couch playing it and my roommate would watch cause he was invested lmao

I was sat and watched the live stream during his first play through. I never sit through live streams so this was a first for me! All I can say is, Act man won’t cry.
Too many people in the chat are constantly posting spoilers before shit happens, people complain and demand Act man play the game their way instead of letting him organically discover or play his way. And overall, the chat is such a huge distraction.
Ahhh well I haven't been spoiled on anything! Any spoilers people post I instantly do not believe. But don't worry, I'll experience the game organically and naturally!
@@TheActMan love to hear that dude. I just hope you get the best and most genuine experience that the rest of us got. I feared the live chat would taint your experience. But I’ll see you tomorrow morning!
@@TheActManI believe any spoilers I see
@@TheActManMaybe an idea just to play with no chat on and look only when you need it?

Unfortunately I've spoiled myself the entire story, but I still have so much fun playing through it despite knowing everything that'll happen. I hope you have a great time.
I knew what happened at the end beforehand, yet I still was crying at the end.
Memes spoiled the ending for me
Loved how they added a lot more different climate types it’s a massive step up from the first rdr from snowy mountains to great forests and arid plains and murky swamps they honestly nailed it
The amount of detail in this game is amazing. I recommend just going out on the country side and find things without doing any of the story missions. Certain side missions and stranger encounters only occur at night and are easily to miss. Have fun with the best game ever!
I have a plan zanny, I just need 6 hours worth of redfall gameplay between you and I so we can both make fantastic videos making fun of it!
LOL
to put into perspective how great RDR2 is, they did the detail of GTA4 in a frontier wilderness. that's how utilized the open world is since each sector has random encounters, side activities, and side-quest that offers dynamic narrative/choices, wildlife, and the finite detail that keeps the world immersive and thriving. there's reason why i hope GTA6 has the writing similar to RDR2.
GTAs vibe is always a lot goofier which breaks the immersion most of the time imo. I hope to see the release of Red Dead 3 in my lifetime
Didn't half of the people that work at Rockstar left after red dead redemption 2??
@@ajs3637yeah I guess .
Rockstar overworked them a lot...
They were made to work day and night lol...
I’m so happy the act man is finally playing and appreciating the beauty of this game for the first time. Enjoy the ride partner!
Red Dead Redemption 2 is an absolute masterpiece, the story is one of the most powerful ones I have ever seen in a game, Arthur Morgan is the best protagonist created by Rockstar Games, he has so much depth, you really feel like your on the journey with him throughout the game, the open world, man you could spend hours upon hours exploring the gorgeous world, no game since has come close to it in my opinion, even 4 years on the game still is a joy to play, Rockstar Games best game and my personal favorite game of all time, a timeless classic 👏👏👏👏
I showed my father this clip. As someone who struggled to beat the first level of the first super mario, he was inspired to see that he isn't the only one who struggles with controlling a character in a video game.
Thank you Act man
The best games have the clunkiest controls but thats what makes them good lol that second that you spam the controller and your heart starts racing is what makes a great game lol
Well controls in RDR2 are shit. They tried to make them realistic and weighty but they just end up being annoying
If you look at the subtitles at 6:00, that's the guy that you spared in the horse barn mocking you. He wouldn't appear there if you killed him before. This game has so many of these small attention to details it's insane
Happy new year Cowboy Man! Thanks for the years of good times on here, looking forward to whatever you have planned this year. With love from England
I'm new to your channel. Thanks for doing a playthrough on this game. Legit the best story in a game I've ever played. Its grippy, brotha. Beat it five times. Nothing hits as good as the first, ya feel? Here for the journey. Once again, thanks.
This game is made with so much love, care and passion. In a time when every game is rushed and broken this game is a blessing from the lord
I feel the same about Elden Ring.
Yeah it’s made with love and passion but they can’t even fix John and the online sucks
And there’s so many plot holes and gliches
You can really tell the devs really wanted to make this game with passion.

Yeah I didn't play Rdr2 in 2018 either, I only recently started playing it about three weeks before you started. It's absolutely enthralling, trust me you'll be stuck on it for all the right reasons. Enjoy yourself.
Idk how you’ve waited this long. I just happy to watch someone experience this masterpiece for the first time!
I remember playing this my senior year of highschool. I had spent a great deal of time playing, the first one, and I had great memories with one of my close friends from my childhood. Playing this newer prequel was like diving back into a childhood memory at the very cusp of adulthood. This game is absolutely beautiful and brought back every memory I had from the previous one while creating many new great memories along the way. What an amazing series.

I'm so glad you decided to stream this whole thing.
This game is a masterpiece.
As I am currently playing through this game for like the 4th time, I tab out to have a break and see this upload. Glad you enjoyed it as much as I did.
I played RDR2 when it first came out in 2018 on my PS4 and I loved it so much the next year when I felt like playing it again I just bought it digitally on my xbox just so I can have fun getting most of the achievements again and when I got myself a PC in 2020 and Picked up RDR2 on sale for like 20 bucks on steam last year or maybe it was earlier this year and god damn I had a blast with it all over again. Definitely one of those games you keep coming back to every few years to appreciate.
We live in a timeline where GTA 6 is real and The Act Man plays RDR2. This has to be the one…..
Man I can't wait til the next stream!! First one was awesome.
The side missions/random stuff you can find is some of the best parts about this game, the night folk genuinely scared me the first time I came across them, seeing a ghost made me think I’d gone insane from playing the game too long, hunting the serial killer or the vampire are absolute highlights of the game, and I damn near had a panic attack when I encountered the ufo, so much cool shit to be found.
great stuff acty, would love more stream highlights in future; first experiences especially.
I have been anticipating Act Man to play Rdr2 for years. I’m so glad to be here to see you play it for the first time!
I was surprised you didn’t play this game after making the Rdr1 is a masterpiece video
But now I’m glad you did
Yeah I have a bad habit of not playing or reviewing sequels for a long time because reviews take a long time and after I'm done I want to focus on something else. But now we are here!!
I just played Red Dead II this year, from start to finish, and I absolutely loved it. Hope you’ll enjoy it too Cowboy Man!
I will watch you if i can, and i declare you will become, my first streamer to watch him live to play something i love so much.

Without going into too heavy spoilers, the line “I’m afraid” said by one of the characters absolutely broke my heart. Those who played know what scene I’m talking about.
Been a while since I played this but I still remember that.
I mean isn't everyone when they reach that point? Even though for most of us it's far off we can all relate to that statement.

One of my all time favorite games. I’m excited to see the actman reaction to the whole story.
This game inspired my whole studio to base its software investments into what I could best capture and produce performances with as an indie and really shaped my game dev output for the better.
i hope this game never gets lost to time and no one forgets it because rdr2 has the best story line in any game, such good adventure and great characters. although god of war is a great game rdr2 should have won GOTY back in 2018 infact it was game of the decade. rdr2 is one of the best games of all time

RDRD2 has a couple points that really struck me in ways that no other game had quite managed before, for reasons wholly unique to the medium of videogames.
That ride back through Lemoynes? When the music kicks halfway through? Still gives me chills when I think about it.
Blew my mind when I discovered that they got D'Angelo to sing that, too. Outta leftfield that one. Just... crazy
I've also never played this game but every time i see it on sale i get closer and closer to pulling the trigger on finally giving it a go

Ikr. But ayy atleast he finally did
The guy that did Micah’s voice did such a good job he received real life threats. Like wtf how does that make any sense in anyone’s head to do that?! Even as a dumb kid I wouldn’t be so stupid to threaten someone in real life over their acting of a bad guy!? Like the amazing dude that played Joffrey in GOT quit acting because all the hate he got. Like what?!
People have been doing that for years with tv and movie actors. Skylar White’s actress from Breaking Bad still gets death threats from her role in that show. People can’t tell that they’re actors for some reason. Ain’t no sense of reality.
