5:18 Seeing subscriber count grow is absolutely a nice feeling, but also remember Floyd, even if I were your only subscriber, I absolutely love your content. That isn't to sound narcissistic, it's a reminder that even with lower numbers, your videos are still 100% important and appreciated by the few people you have subscribed. (though you're getting quit popular now). I just hope you never feel like having lower numbers is because your videos aren't liked. RUclips is kind of brutal sometimes, it can be hard to reach people in the plethora of different content creators. That said, I absolutely love your videos and I bet you have a LOT of other people who absolutely love your content, your personality, and the effort you put into your videos. Never forget, your content is ALWAYS important and appreciated by many real people who look forward to whatever you're going to put out next. I hope that gives you extra motivation, to know without any doubt that you're making videos for some people who can't wait to see what you are working on next. Thanks for all the effort you put into your videos and presentations, Floyd. Sincerely, Caid "caidicus" Johnson
Also, thanks for dropping thoughtful comments on the videos I put out, though mine are rare and inconsistent. I always feel joy knowing that someone like you appreciates what I put out, as well. It means a lot to me that, while my subscribers are low, the people who do watch my videos are people who I look up to and feel a sense of surprise and appreciation that they think what I put out is worth watching. :D You're awesome, brotherman!
Last comment, I swear, but can you recommend a good video editing app that's relatively easy to use (I'm kind of dumb when it comes to learning new software) and perhaps can be bought outright instead of only being a yearly subscription? I use my phone to make my videos and have quickly come to see its limitations in creating content. I'd like to add effects, like for when I make songs or put out songs, to make the video more interesting, and I'd like it to be straight forward enough that it doesn't take 6 hours to make a 10 minute video. Thank in advance, Floyd.
Thanks for your thoughtful comments. My main reason to make these videos is to share the fun I have with musical gadgets. Where I live, everyone is into classic rock and heavy metal! (I like that style of music a lot as well, but electronic music even more). ;-) So that segment you're referring to is just ... well... just a reminder that subscriber count is an important RUclips stat, mostly so for potential sponsors (which never seem to knock on my door, sigh). ;-)
I use Corel Video Studio. It's not perfect, but it's easily digestible and has all the important functions (transitions, colour grading, DAW-like track editing) for a one time payment of $60 (subscribe to their newsletter and they'll eventually send you a discount code, normal price is around $100)
I'm NOT here to find out about FL Studio Mobile, and never will be.. But your video was still good, and I didn't know it was available for Android. If I wasn't so sure Image Line paid for that particular "demographic", I'd give you a like and maybe try it out. 🙂
Thanks for your feedback! Just to make it clear, Image Line didn't pay me. (In fact, no one ever even tried to sponsor me but DistroKid who did when my channel was still really small and I don't even have a patreon account :) I think my conclusion makes it quite clear this app is fun but totally worthless in a hardware setup, plus the developers just don't seem to care nowadays.
Love the starting beat. I actually bought FL Studio on mobile, with all the DLCs, as a way to give something back to a company I downloaded through "other" means, for my intro years of making music. I started downloading that "free" version in 1998, and made plenty tracks in my intro years. I don't use the mobile version, but giving something back was a little gesture. :P The question of using it for hardware synths is something I'd never thought to ask, so of course, what a great idea for a video!
Great video as always. I like FL studio mobile, I bought it a few years ago as something to make beats on while I fly or camp or whatever. I love the paid instruments for FL Studio Mobile as something I can drop in to make whatever sound I want. I also like that you can drop the song into FL Studio and add stuff to it from there either into the FL Studio Mobile file, or use other stuff in FL Studio like VST plugins and what not.
Funny though, I haven't used it as much as SunVox for that purpose, and SunVox is 5.99 for mobile, and free for desktop, and it's an old school tracker, which is probably why I'm so attached to it. Also, SunVox has way better MIDI support, it does in and out, so I can use as a sequencer or a synth, and is the best performant synth environments I've found on mobile in terms of things like latency and CPU.
you can test out the app capabilities on PC by installing FL demo. where i think one would face limitations is audio recording editing and synths ( although cool sounds and plugins).
Hi love your videos they are very informative and entertaining ... I was wondering if you had considered trying making music on the Steam Deck .... it could be fun!!
Cool Android app - I see it can be installed on my Chromebook. But.. I think I will stick with my DAW on Linux when want to do software based sequencing. Maybe if and when it has midi out I will think again. Good review though..as usual!
@@mr_floydst oooooooh i didn't know a version was also available from the window store, I was considering some of the products from the website but now I have to add the window store product into consideration---I'm really after 1 continuous ecosystem like laptop and phone synced up but thanks for the info
You should be able to connect an audio interface and MIDI controllers to this! It's important to set the USB mode of your phone correctly. After that, you can record both audio and MIDI.
I'd always turn on flight mode if I were to perform anything - otherwise any incoming signal would interfere with your amps and make that "brrrzzz brrrz brrrz" sound. Apart from that, I never did a live performance at all yet so I'm the wrong person to comment. Perhaps one of my viewers can share any insights?
All these apps are fun until you're in the middle of a set and your device needs to reset for an important OS update, or the McDonald's app has an important notification for you.
You forgot the Price, the features it has for the price is great.
Yes, you're right! That's an important fact. :-)
Very helpful presentation, and one of the best demo tracks i’ve ever heard on RUclips - congrats!
Thank you very much!
Yes, i was searching for fl studio mobile half year ago. It is a usable walkthrough and review. Thanks.

I was curious about this version of FL studio, and you gave us a very nice and useful review👍

If only they added MIDI out.
@@mr_floydst right? No midi out? That's insane....
Interesting stuff!

What is the name of the PC software counterpart? Hopefully there's a Windows 11 version yes ??
There's a version of this exact app in the Windows store. Just search for FL Studio mobile.

What happens if you get a call halfway through a performance?

what is phone type? i prefer Zebeats instead
It's a "Surface Duo".
Fortunately now there is Cubasis on Android. And also SunVox has midi out.
Thanks for your feedback! Sunvox is great. I'll do a video on that some time, but on Raspberry Pi. :)
Does fl mobile finally have midi out?
No.
@@mr_floydst fuuuuugggg... Do u know of any other Android DAWs with midi out?

Well yes, that's the problem with computers and smartphones. Though you can turn off these notifications. But you might forget to. :-)
Rick rolled by Floyd! 😂
