GMSynth? As in General Midi Synth?
That's cool that you can layer all the sounds like that and adjust where the effects sit. Great tips and yes, it does seem very powerful.

No, it stands for Groove Machine Synth, DW Synth, stands for Directwave.

@@TheSoundTestRoom Ah, thanks Doug. I thought it might cover all the GM sounds but maybe not.

Back in the day GMSynth wasn't free in Fl. for the desktop. Good stuff, Doug

@@jimshannononsounds I know you have the desktop version (as I do) but do you have the iOS version as well? If yes, what's your opinion of it?

Do you know how to change velocity? My panda mini i have to literally smash the keys to hear it, it's annoying

Very cool layering feature! Thanks for bringing it to our attention, and I appreciate your explaining things like how to import samples through the files app, for those just starting out. I don’t have FL Studio Mobile but ironically the desktop PC version was my first experience with a DAW back in the late 90s, so I have a soft spot in my heart for Image Line.

It wasn't my first (that was an early Cakewalk) but it was the first I used regularly that pulled me in and I used it a lot, around that same time period I think. I was stuck with the base software, a few 'alternately sourced' or free vsts I could find but it was a start. 🙂

@@Elwaves2925 I purchased lifetime free upgrades but that didn’t include many of the synths. I recall Sytrus was an IAP. I fiddled around with that, having very little clue what I was doing.

@@CaraWeston Fiddling with no clue kinda sums me up on iOS, although I have got better thanks to a certain person's tutorials.
Yes, I got the lifetime upgrades for the desktop version too, it's an excellent deal. I simply didn't want to spend money on extras, whatever the price. Back then it was very much a 'muck around when I'm bored hobby' as my spare money went on my main hobbies (one of which could be very expensive).
I still have many of the files I made from that time and was disappointed to learn that they won't import into the mobile version. That's a real downer on me picking it up, however good an iOS DAW it is.
