    Furthermore, In my view there should be a function for recording and triggering pads for live use and a way to save sounds after editing it like whenever i layer two sounds you cannot save that as a layer you can only save that individually and when layering you cannot adjust the volume of individual instrument in the case of direct wav sounds......if they address all these issues then flm will be my 1st choice....

    What's up man. I'm watching the beginning of your video. I thought the same thing at first but it's actually pretty smart how they made the interface. Being able to collapse all those windows lets you see your timeline or your clips with more space
    You can't expect something on a mobile platform to be as in-depth as on a desktop computer
    It also comes down to how much money do they really want to put into that versus in their Flagship product on computer

    • @MusicTechnologist
      @MusicTechnologist  3 года назад +3

      I like your perspective. I can see why collapsible elements would make sense. I just don’t feel like it was done in a very organized fashion. I would be okay with settling for an app being less in-depth than programs on a desktop if apps like BeatMaker 3 and Cubasis 3 didn’t already exist. I happen to own FL Studio on my desktop, and there certainly are some things that it does that I still haven’t found in any iOS app, but whatever company is trying to give us more in the app world is who has my money.

      La interfaz no podría ser mejor ... No solo se trata de compararlo con la versión de escritorio si no que está súper obtimizado para pantallas pequeñas y esas funciones de maximizar y minimizar es indiscutiblemente buena ....

Open up FL Mobile and record into an audio track. Hope this helps! 👍🏽 DM me on twitter if you need some gear recommendations. I use the Audio Technica ATH-M50xBT ➡️ amzn.to/2HoOtKi There’s also the M40x, which many people swear by, and some people like them better than the M50x. They’re also significantly cheaper ➡️ amzn.to/2KxAgMt Hopefully this helps!

      There is an option in the settings to toggle on 32bit for recording. I’m assuming you mean the export bitrate though. When you go in to save as WAV, there is a “high quality” button. I would assume that is 32bit.

    Dude you downright didn’t give FL Studio a fair shot otherwise this video wouldn’t have been made. That’s just a shame, but please humor me by reading my elaboration & noodle on whether my points check out. Just so you know I’m not a troll btw, I’ve been subscribed for months & for the most part have never disagreed with anything from you like this. I still respect ur videography game though & appreciate most all ur content. But on the main course:
    First: FL’s UI was designed w/logical intent, & wasn’t simply a lack or creativity. Mobile devices just can’t touch the overall horsepower of desktop computers, even many laptop. This gives FL an advantage in that it allows you to utilize a far greater number or tracks & effects vs others. What I love most about the UI however is that it’s the most efficient & streamlined. It doesn’t suffer from vanity of aesthetics & ur not losing any processing power to anything outside of ur song’s content.
    Second: Umm yes, FL most certainly does utilize a separate mixer channels for each individual drum pad/ sample. In the sequencer window where you can pencil in notes, on right hand side simply tap on the name of the pad on the corresponding lane to highlight it, & then tap once more in the same spot to reveal the mixer you were looking for. Not only does it show you the mixer for changing volume/ pan, but has far more settings to adjust such as pitch/ stretch/ start for sample, next tab has A.D.S.R for envelope, & for sequencing settings such as grouping/ holds/ poly/ shifts/ and aux to chain to fx or master channels. Oh yea also in very left corner you can adjust individual swing for each & every pad. The only possible way to miss this easy to find/use feature is that you didn’t do ur homework or due diligence. If you want to prop up BM3 then that’s fine go for it BM3 is a great app, but don’t pull a hatchet job on innovators just cause you already had ur mind made up on not liking an app before trying it. That’s just bad form & as a subscriber is disappointing to see ( for me anyways).mm
    Third: Un-optimized?? See my first response a few lines above. Ur clearly not doing something right cause I never have any popping issues.
    Fourth: I agree. Having only IAA third party support has at times left me a bit thirsty, especially when hitting a creative wall. But in retrospect now, I was still able to create both efficiently & musically & was always able to fulfill a vision I had for a song. I mean it has built in EVERYTHING! Which allows you to utilize a greater number of effects per track. Hate to say again, but a little homework & you would have discovered the the very active developers of FL already have auv3 on deck for upcoming update. They care about their community & are responding to their requests for this feature.
    However I cannot agree on ur view of the FL instrument choice. The sound design capabilities of FL has an insurmountable scope of possibilities that I’m still discovering new sounds after 3 years. Not to mention, between mobile & desktop you can capture & create absolutely perfect sampled instruments of ur favorite vst plugins on desktop. I have a bunch of serum, massive, and even sector patches on my FL that I use a lot.
    Seriously buddy ur doing urself a disservice on FL. Just try to clean slate ur preemptive opinion on FL, spend some time on the user message boards & interact with the community cause that in itself really is yet another amazing feature unique to FL. The comradely among users is a sight to not only behold, but also be a part of. But they will also help you learn far quicker of the features you want that are coincidentally already there.
    A few last really quick points: it’s the very best daw on android & one of the very very few with the balls to tap into a huge market that hardly anyone else will bother with. Second, I can wirelessly transmit project files between iOS devices & even to my android devices in addition to even being able to pull it up perfectly on my desktop FL. Third and lastly for real, the IAP’s for FL Mobile are outstanding with each & every one of them being easily well worth the very very small asking price. I bought them all individually one by one too, so I’m not just blowing smoke.
    If you do become open to giving FL another shot & one that’s more fair, hmu & I’ll be happy to walk you thru & help you understand how innovative FL is as well as the many ways they’re ahead of the curve in ways other daw’s haven’t even imagined. FL isn’t perfect but none of them are, however it should be obvious by now how strongly I feel FL being a leader & innovator in the mobile market. I also own BM3, NS & NS2, Gadget 2, iMPC Pro 2, apeMatrix & AUM, & even Looper from Audiokit as well as Looperverse (Looperverse is amazing btw). However out of all of those I find myself back in FL most of all. The price point of bm3 makes it hard to admit, but bm3 is only app that I haven’t feel gave me my money’s worth from the start.
    Obv I could go on & on, but I’d be rather surprised/ floored if ya didn’t say screw that after seeing the length of my comment. However, maybe it’ll reach someone in need and prevent an unjust appointment.

      Clearly you feel very passionately about FL Mobile. I think you missed a lot of the positive things I said about FL Mobile in this video. Mind you, I come from a decade of working in the desktop version of FL Studio, so I think my criticisms have some merit to them. If you don't like BM3, that's fine. I don't think it's for everyone, and there are other options out there. Lastly, I'll just touch on the points you mentioned:
      First point: iPads are plenty powerful. Sometimes more powerful than a desktop. Their only real limitation is software (and maybe a lack of port options). I use an m1 Mac as my desktop, and it literally has a processor that is based on the one in my iPad. Also, not sure how that applies to the look of the UI. I personally don't like it. You are allowed to like it if you so choose. Like I said in the video, the playlist looks really nice, and so do the pads and the mixer page. I'm not a fan of most of the other design choices.
      Second point: This was brought to my attention pretty quickly after making the video. I can admit that this was an oversight on my part. It certainly wasn't "easy to find" though.
      Third point: You not having the same issues with FL as me does not equal operator error. That's why I refrain from saying stuff like that to people when they bring up issues they are having w/ BM3. I may not be having them, but that doesn't make the program stable across the board.
      Fourth point: Yeah, I stand by my words on AUv3. As great as you feel like the sounds in FL Mobile are, the lack of AUv3 options is a no go for me. I have a good amount of instrument/fx plugins that really are great, and one of the features of a true DAW is hosting plugins. Also, you can't throw in FL desktop sounds as a plus to FL Mobile. Evaluate the strength of the app based on the app, not a work-around.
      At the end of the day, every producer has bias. That includes me and you. I am (and have been) open to the idea of giving FL Mobile another shot, but that's not going to happen for me until AUv3 support comes and the UI improves. Also, people will tend to be more receptive to critique when you avoid belittling them in the process. Someone's choice of DAW really isn't that serious. Anyways, thanks for watching the video, and enjoy FL Mobile!

    • @karmatosed7211
      @karmatosed7211 3 года назад

      We’re totally allowed to disagree and I’m not gonna not watch ur videos if we do. There were just such a huge number of features that you missed completely cause you wrote it off too soon. I mean some of them are really easy to find out about but are really sweet features that others don’t have.
      They all do have they’re strengths, but I go back some years with FL and FL Mobile, and some of my fav creations have been on FL Mobile more so than any desktop DaW. Really it helps to have some of ur sample library on FL, but conveniently they make that crazy super easy.
      You do a good job with ur vids I won’t knock that or anything else really, but when the overall premise of the video was screwed to reasons why ppl shouldn’t buy FL without fully taking a deep enough dive into the app and really giving it a fair shot that just didn’t seem right & unfair to ppl that might enjoy it more if they weren’t lead differently. There are so many other unique features to FL that I didn’t even touch on, if my long post was 80% about what I think is wrong with BM3 ur reply ( I guess but maybe not) might’ve had a slightly different tone or at least my post would have been received differently.

    Just found your video and what does me right in is when you share your project from fL mobile to FL Studio FL mobile comes up as an app and technically it should come up through the desktop version like normal instead of the app that would I think it's stupid about it cannot transfer your track and carry on with the other plugins on it that's the other thing they need to update get rid of the app when it comes up through the desktop make it so it comes up normally through FL Studio so you can carry on working with your track no problem

    Not supporting audio units by now is definitely a deal breaker. I can't get past it. I wouldn't compare it to beatmaker 3 because BM3 is specially designed for Beatmakers. I love it but cubasis is the one to compare to FL. And we can't forget Auria Pro. Bottom line is why bother with FL mobile when it has no auv3 support and cubasis and Auria pro are both much better.
