My videos contain so many mispronunciations it's not even funny any more ;-) "Preffrennces", not "prefööränces". Happens a lot, especially when talking while doing, without a script. :-)
Nice work Floyd! I especially liked your nice improv at the end, it gave me a few ideas for the future... Also good work on highlighting the differences between adding tracks to a pattern and using multiple patterns on the timeline.
amazing! 🙂 I was searching for a tutorial about how to configure a Raspberry with the Renoise tracker, and instead I found your videos about Reaper and Sunvox on a Raspberry. I must say, Sunvox is very tempting... Maybe in one of your next experiments you could try Renoise on a Raspberry as well. :-)
You can get it for any system, there are some nice additional plugins (modules) and I think the sequencer with it's "free flow" timeline is quite nice.
I can do a "shorts" on that. Basically, in the tracker, enter a note. Then - see that column labeled "EE"? Go there and enter "1D". Then move to the column labeled "YY" and enter 3. Now that note will be delayed by 3 ticks and your groove is on.
I actually have a question. Designed primarily as a synthesizer, the tracker should also serve as a kind of multi-channel sequencer for complex sound manipulations such as LFOs and envelopes. Can you start the tracker by playing a note and will the programmed notes be transposed with it?
It's possible to record automation and also enter CC data step by step if needed. Also, there's a module named "MetaModule" which can trigger events. That module could be topic of another short video if this video does well.
The inner geek in me liked this but I just know that this sort of software would never bring anything remotely musical out of me I wonder if it would be better without using the touchscreen and key commands, people get very quick with trackers and helps with inspiration
Thanks for watching! I think it's a nice sequencer, especially with that "as you want" placement of tracks on the timeline - but ultimately, it's up to you to decide wether to use it or not.
Hi, thanks for watching! What can I say but "you're so dang right" :-) Touchscreen is the least desirable way to interact with electronic music hardware.
i love how you say "preferences", it's perfectly logical the way you say it.

Thank you! There's so much more that Sunvox can do, I might revisit it at some point in the future.

Hi Martin, thanks for watching - yes, Renoise is on my to-do list. :)
wow my wish come true , ty very very much Floyd you are amazing !
Thanks for watching! :)
i love sunvox , the more i use " modern gear" i have come to realize sunvox was always " enough synth ' for the type of music i do
That's a very healthy (especially for the well-being of your purse ;-) ) approach to music!
Ahhh yes Sunvox, I remember this, had it on My old Tablet, was fun but I never really got the hang of it and then forgot about it.

@@mr_floydst Very interesting however once I leave something I dont go back, I feel Sunvox is 5 years in My past forgotten for a reason.
Sunvox is a really cool music app. I enjoyed your video. Do you miss not using a computer keyboard? There are a lot of useful keyboard shortcuts.
I had it on Android 5 years ago.
You're right, using it on touch screen only isn't as quick as using a keyboard.
Cool!
Thanks!
Do you think this would work with a raspberry pi 2? I've got a spare lying around but I dunno if I should pick up something more powerful
Hi, thanks for watching! I'd say it should work. This worked on a iPaq 20 years ago. :)
Can you show us how to add swing notes? That would be awesome and very helpful. 😊

This was available on Android, I had it about 5 years ago.
@@HOLLASOUNDS it's still available on android

I'll be skipping the tiny touch screen and UI - I'm not a surgeon.
Thanks for watching - you can replace that with any screen you like. Or just download it from the app store on any tablet.
damn, using a touchscreen seems like it sucks
