Great car and the new 300bhp diesel is an absolute animal, great second hand buy and its a Porsche, i'd have it over any bland Euro-Box Beemer Audi blah blah...
They're reviewing the car as though it's a Lotus Elise! Review the car for what it's intended for and clearly hammering round a narrow track is not its purpose. A very blinkered review, for a more mature, sober critique of this vehicle, watch Chris Harris's take on it.
Totally agree on this. Really don't like how all reviewers keep talking about use cases that was it never intended for. Driving it around a track and then base your entire opinion on it is absolutely useless.
Its a porsche not a honda or skoda.... its a porsche and you all can pretend all you want you'd bever soend the money they are asking for a 1.9 tonne porsche diesel with a 250 hp v6... its slow btw and expensive. Why do you want to be contrary just for the sake of it? Its not making you more interesting...
Just looked, 78k 78 thousand, thats the starting price no options for this... add two packages 88k... you still ready to pep for this 250 hp v6 diesel...
I get it about Diesels, except when Audi won 5 of the 24 Hours of Le Mans races since 2006 with Diesels. You can't just plant a Diesel in a gasoline/petrol car and expect it to work the same. It is however a singularly bletcherous looking, uh, vehicle.
Team needs to work out what this type of car is for... If you're regularly crossing continents you really don't want to be stopping every couple of hundred miles / couple of hours for fuel!! It's a completely fundamental reason for any big, proper GT to be diesel - or to have a 200 litre fuel tank.
How can they call that a review, they’ve lost touch with the average joe so, it’s the perfect car, for the second hand market, for people like me, who don’t want a Ford Mondeo. Can’t afford to drive a gas guzzler. But can get a luxury car that’s sporty enough, and can bring 4 people and your dogs in the back. Down from 72k, to 20k. It’s a No brainier. Now that would be a better review.
No diesel porsche... just no. Economy cars are great... this is not what this car is about... like dont just be contrary for the sake of being so its boring and unoriginal...
I like the Panamera, and if your country doesn´t have a diesel tax that is really economical, and how it´s bad if you can have more miles with your money ?
0?!?! Tiff... come one. At least count in the engineering, design and effort that Porsche engineers made. I agree with the diesel "error" choice, especially since VAG got into this "diesel mess". Diesels should be reserved for trucks, where it can remain logical. In passenger cars, go for hybrids, PHEV, or EVs in the future.
Well I'd rather have a diesel Porsche than a LPG converted Porsche, you have no idea how many Cayennes are converted to run on LPG because driving them on petrol is incredibly expensive
Chris Harris liked the Panamera, and so did Harry from EVO. So thumbs down for 5th gear. As the Panamera isn't a race car, Chris Harris and Harry have much more credibility than Tiff when it comes to everyday use.
Even in everyday usage, less worry to fill it up all the time. I have to fill up a gas-guzzling merc every 1.5 weeks. I wish I went for a diesel. If you have a family of 4 and want the badge the amazing interior, and the amzing gt capabilities the panamera diesel beats everything especially the new one with 420 bhp
Why a diesel? Well to have the same fuel costs with a petrol car, you need to convert it to run on LPG, so what would you rather have - LPG or diesel? I choose diesel because LPG converted Porsche sounds way more ridiculous than a diesel Porsche.
You all need to grow up - not everyone who buys a Porsche drives it like a lunatic, besides the only reason you test cars the way you do is you are fixated on one thing and one thing only - speed! People buy cars for different reasons...your one sided approach to reviewing cars is so 80’s
This is not a review of the Porsche Panamera diesel. This is a platform to show off these three celebrities in front of ANY car. The year of the car is not even listed! How can you seriously call yourself a car reviewer if you don't even understand the basis of the review?
So what that bell-end Tiff is saying he is happy to fill up with fuel every time he has to stop for the loo, Me, I hate having to fuel up, cars should have large enough fuel tanks so you can do several hundred miles without having to fill up. or only need fueling up at the end of the day, 700 mile range sounds great.
And what was the point of thrashing this diesel 4 door sedan around a track? And what did we learn us real world buyers? Absolutely nothing. That’s why you got cancelled ! irrelevant features on an irrelevant program.
+1 .. Many buyers in the luxo-barge saloon market (Jag XJ, .7 Series, .A/S8, .S Class, .Tesla, etc.) agree with Ms. Vicky regarding the Panamera ver.1 styling. .. The diesel 3.0l fitment is another peculiar Porsche AG marketing decision altogether. .. The Panamera is-what-it-is, independent of its pedigree namesake. .. Drove a Panamera S (service loaner) for several days and I can tell you, the exterior aesthetic as controversial as it is .. all but disappears when challenging the chassis agility; Suspension, braking and engine performance of this heavy weight, 2-ton plus luxo-barge. .. Nice Team Test review. .. I'll stick with my '98 Porsche C2S (993) coupe.
That's was an u fair review it seemed like it done well for a big saloon, and to say felt sick your getting threw round a track what a stupid review that was. Everywhere else has great reviews. I watched Chris Harrison of top gear review it he loves his and kept it for 6yr he had It sideways while talking away. He loved every part of It. And the 300 bhp model is pushing 600nm of torque. And got to 150mph no problem.
I think is the most stupid car of all time!!! So diesel on a Porsche? Second 250 PS this amount of HP Porsche has it in 1975......WT F .....man in 2010!!!!! I think car industries is a big shit these days. Everybody is going for the money ...and they forget the passion.
WTF !? Since July 2016 the new Panamera is out. The Executive was on November and in 4 months comes the Sportsturismo... And a Diesel engine? Whats about the hybrid, its much more interesting... This channel is annoying more and more... Time to cancel this abo.
You complete fuck-knuckle, if you don’t have the brains to realise 5th gear no longer exists and these are throwback videos, perhaps you shouldn’t be writing stupid shit on the Internet?!

That's a very questionable review
Totally agree
Yes I hate a diesel Panamera, but 0/10 is WAAAAY too harsh. I mean, the interior is top notch.

You can only hate a car if you have driven it and been able to give a constructive view

If you can afford a Porsche, it shouldn't be a Diesel. They're not wrong.
I’ll have a look at Harris’s review now. I personally like the Panamera and I’m really wanting one. This review disappoints me
I think it's a great second hand buy if you do a lot of driving and want brand kudos
The best Grand Tourer money can buy..
It's bigger brother, the cayenne - has entered the chat.

I give it 10 so its 21/40. Above average. We win
Ugh the Panamera does NOT need a diesel model!!! >:( All petro, hybrid, or I wish an all electric version!!!!
FastLikeUNO i know right🙄🙄
Diesel has a HUGE purpose and that's having A LOT more torque than petrol.
I love the diesel model. What is bad about being a fuel economy car ??!
Diesel is best
I relly like diesel cars
Especially when this car is such a motorway mile beast. A diesel option really makes sense
No diesel porsche... just no. Economy cars are great... this is not what this car is about... like dont just be contrary for the sake of being so its boring and unoriginal...
You can't really talk about economy when the car starts at a whopping 72000 pounds. Diesel engines are great, but not in a Porsche IMHO.
i don't know, i like how it look's is like a 911 but saloon, i guess you could get one of those cheap in a few years
Porsche and Diesel never go well in one sentence, even if it's the Cayenne.
I agree with Tiff and Jonny.
Me to
Diesel in a Porsche does not make sense
I could surely afford a petrol engine if I can afford a Panamera..! Although I would prefer the Diesel over the Hybrid. (I’m a sucker for boot space)
I'd like to see a wagon with a removable rear bench seat.
Ford mondeo
We can dream!
I like the Panamera, and if your country doesn´t have a diesel tax that is really economical, and how it´s bad if you can have more miles with your money ?
0:49 Tiff's not wrong though. If I want a diesel Volkswagen, I buy a diesel Volkswagen, not a diesel Porsche.
I like the way it looks
The 3 litre diesel has 250 BHP compared to a 2.7 litre air cooled Porsche 911 which has 175 BHP. The diesel has 75BHP more
0?!?! Tiff... come one. At least count in the engineering, design and effort that Porsche engineers made.

She was not blinded by the badge, YO&U were Tiff. It's a gamer changer
I’m probably going to be hated for this but I actually like how the original Panamera. However, why the hell did they make a diesel version?
V.B.H saying "it feels incredibly stiff", in the bank for later.
Chris Harris liked the Panamera, and so did Harry from EVO. So thumbs down for 5th gear. As the Panamera isn't a race car, Chris Harris and Harry have much more credibility than Tiff when it comes to everyday use.
Why a diesel?Simple,longer trips with an tank of fuel,it s a luxury sedan not a 911 sports car!End it s still a Porsche!

Ha ha, jokes on you. Porsche owners, particularly 911 and Cayman owners, LOVE to drive like a lunatic especially at the track.
@@FAT8893 I don't know about you, but keep it on the track. No need to drive like a fuck witt on the roads and put everyone else in danger.
That Johnny chap is a total tool, never heard him say anything constructive
my dream is a diesel aston martin DB9😁
Drop a 6.0 TDI (CCGA) from a Q7 into one 😊5,934cc V12 48v / 368 kW (500 PS) / 1,000 Nm
Where are we going to trash a car like this. Its a lovely car
isn't this like a 2014
great driving from TN
Why are they test driving the old model?
mark clip from older episode
2:16 why does he look like Walter White?
Why release this when it's so old. it's no longer relevant. There is a newer version out already and you've just released the review of the old one.
These are TV episodes from years ago, uploaded to RUclips.
Yes i know that. I'm just trying to impress upon them to release them sooner and make then more relevant.
I find them rather entertaining, even if the videos are old.
It's a TV show, therefore there are broadcasting rights to abide by.
I see alot of other programs on RUclips soon after filming. It's not like the whole episode. It's just going to make it a little long in the tooth.
The speed limit is 70 do they know.
It's higher in other countries around the world
Only 70 when police are around

no no no for a diesel porscher, i agree
well they DID start out making tractors... i guess its come full circle
@@danialhowe9814 thanks to vw scandal, no more diesel Porsches. I guess they are now collectibles.

0:57 lol
Love/hate relationship with this car
Why does this not take the bmw five series?
Eh, still better than the hybrid.
In my opinion this (along with the 918) is the only good looking car porsche have made

Porsche Junior Diesel
Last time I saw Tiffs video about what he drives, he had a Jaguar XF estate? Think I would rather drive the Porsche than an old mans Jag.
It's not even the normal XF.
This video is quite old eh?
Well, it's obviously not a race car. Kind of a stupid review tbf. Lovely 2nd hand car if you do a lot of kms (and don't expect to race it, obviously)
