Amazing, a youtube channel which had comments from viewers asking for more of a particular type of content, and they actually went ahead and made more content! Thanks Evo, I love the diaries.
These videos provide something that's pretty unique; a relaxed, informed view thats often humourous, and in 1080p too! I look forward to these as much as Evo mag actually arriving, thanks!
I love the site of a car parked in Harry's driveway. I love the walk around tour and discussion about design. I love how I feel like I'm there with Harry, being personally talked to. I love it how I feel like I'm going for a drive with Harry. That's what I love about EvoDiaries. Pretty much a perfect video about a car. And I love the Panamera because it's made by Porsche.
Top Gear would do well to take a leaf out of this style of road test. I'm sick to death of their cliched 'power tests'. Thanks for another great review Harry.
It will automatically appear while driving and can stay in 3 different positions depending on your speed. You can also put it up manual in any stage through a button.
I love the look of the exterior of the car. Some don't but I picture this flying past someone in the night on the highway and have them wonder in awe. the interior is perfect too
This is a love it or hate it design. I will admit that I didn't like it when it first came out. The new Panamera has grown on me and I now think it looks great. The addition of the diesel just makes it that much more appealing to smart people who do lots of highway driving. Don't forget you can run any diesel on used vegetable oil. Check it out if you don't believe me. Thanks.
Hi guys.. Does this V6 3.0 l, with 259 hk have a spoiler too? Can you choose to have it manually? Or will it automatically go on and off while driving?
I'm starting to love diesls O_O The punch it can give, the real world power and the unmatched fuel economy. This diesel, the 3.0 diesel of BMW. When i grow up, i'll buy something luxurious and surprise everyone by my running costs :D
sports chrono is a diesel seems abit pointless, unless your going to the 'ring' i dont see the point either. 250hp isnt much and i know its all about torque but my dads xf has 325hp as it has been chipped from 275hp and whilst it may not have as good a chassis or suspension or weight distribution it certainly has good dynamics and cost alot less. it also has a really good interior although not as good as the porsche but would like to see a comparison. love evo diaries
And this is exactly how i fell about this thing. Who cares about looks when you've got such an interieur with four identical seats? Imagine having a spin with four of your mates in that. In fact, the seating- arrangement reminds me of a rollercoaster-wagon, and thats what I love about this car. I want one.
The redline on that Porsche is only very slightly lower than on my car. And my car has a gas engine! I suppose that's what you get when you're in a '90s car with an engine that debuted in the early '60s.
@FOGGYDUC No exactly Top Gear. Their reviews are quite real and they DO criticise and focus on the driving aspects. It's just a bit exaggerated. Ever watched Jay Leno's Garage? He's extremely biased. Even the driving in Roadfly isn't the most exciting to watch and they are often very positive about cars.
@TheFreakyGames I have a Jaguar XF S which for the same money I could have had the standard 5litre V8 but when i test drove both I found that the Diesel S was more fun to drive, both in town and on the open roads, its was quieter on the motor way and did double the mpg. Because of the money i save on fuel, tax and insurance, I'm able to afford more toys from the options list and I can keep more money in the bank :)
I wish Porsche would just get on and build the Sport Turismo, which is what the Panamera should have looked like from the very start. Ditch that HORRENDOUS body, chop 25cm out of the wheel base, Slap a 2+2 coupe body on it, add a big rear hatch, recess the rear lights slightly, bolt a V10, or a turbo V8 into it and call it a 929!
It is not about affording the fuel costs. It is about the convenience of a long range. It is annoying to have to stop constantly at petrol stations. Plus if you do not go to the track (which is unlikely even in a Panamera) you do not need a petrol engine. Plus the whole car is a lot cheaper than the 4S and Turbo/S versions. I would rather buy a diesel Panamera and a Boxter/Cayman for the price of a Panamera Turbo.
@The FreakyGames A diesel luxury car is useful if you do a lot of long journeys, while the cost of petrol is meaningless if you can afford a car like this, its the better usability of a diesel. You dont have to fill up as much on a long run or when youre driving around town. Also a diesel engine is better in this size of car when youre going around town because a petrol can to be too lazy at low revs.
Harry and Chris Harris have the whole internet car review thing sewn up. So much class, so much polish, and really great info. Thank you both.
I can't stress out how enjoying these evo diaries are.
I could listen to Harry for days, he's just so entertaining. Loving these diaries, can't wait to see some more!
Evo Diaries are easily the perfect reviews. Love the hands on, the real opinions and the real usage shots.

Hary's videos are just brilliant. Well done!!

I saw one in person the other day, it looks WAY better in real life, it is sweet looking!
Top Gear would do well to take a leaf out of this style of road test. I'm sick to death of their cliched 'power tests'.
Thanks for another great review Harry.
@Razor4ever An important point is the price. The Hybrid version starts at 106.000€ here in Germany while the Diesel only costs 80.000€+.
It will automatically appear while driving and can stay in 3 different positions depending on your speed. You can also put it up manual in any stage through a button.
Harry manages to make Diesels interesting. That's amazing.
Are they not available in the U.S.? Or are they just not available in the U.S. yet? The diesel varient is which I am refering to.
like these evo diaries ... keep em comin.
Harry is better than just about any other road tester around
@Razor4ever He is the founder of the evo magazine and current owner
I love the look of the exterior of the car. Some don't but I picture this flying past someone in the night on the highway and have them wonder in awe.
the interior is perfect too
Them German 3.0l 6 cylinder engines are pure amazement.
Sportcar power with Prius economy, aka combustion engine perfection.
the car looks fantastic all around! great car period inside and out!!
I think we all like Harry's videos because they are similir to Top Gear reviews. We want more of this please!
Really enjoyed that review! I was planning on buying this anyway, but you’re review tipped it for me, thanks for that!
pleease more evo diaries Harry! their as good as Chris Harris videos
Great review. LOVE THE DIARIES
Great as always Harry. Thank you.
The latest is the Panamera GTS ! Can't wait for a review of that one !
The Panamera Diesel will be available in the US as a 2013 model.
Panamera diesel is available only with RWD, isn't it? Maybe sb knows are Porsche planning to introduce the AWD version?
this is a bit off topic, but what camera is this? it's really good!!! I'm starting to really like the Panamera.
i've seen this car in person and it looks great. i don't understand why people say its ugly.
@brentzittel over 400 ft-lbs of torque very early in the rev range and close to real world 40mpg. What more could you ask?
@xGabicca
Agreed...love Harrys reviews.
Love your reviews. Please keep it coming!

This car is stunning! Period!
Hump, what hump? Problem with design? None at all.
Totally Agreed.
design has grown on me the last year, would get this over a jaguar or audi A7 if i had the money
Harry, how does this compare to the Hybrid version ?
@TheFreakyGames Longer journeys without a stop for fueling up!
Hi guys..
Does this V6 3.0 l, with 259 hk have a spoiler too? Can you choose to have it manually? Or will it automatically go on and off while driving?
"if you have seven foot tall children, this is the car for you" hilarious!
I'm starting to love diesls O_O The punch it can give, the real world power and the unmatched fuel economy. This diesel, the 3.0 diesel of BMW. When i grow up, i'll buy something luxurious and surprise everyone by my running costs :D

And this is why i love diesel.
You know life's good when your economy car is a Porsche Panamera....
@TheFreakyGames how do you think those people got that money? by spending it all because they have enough anyway?
what about the interior?
had trouble keeping my eyes open watching this. If I ever can't sleep one evening I will fire up this video.
So if you like the styling of a Panamera then an Aston Rapide must look nasty?
one of the best cars in the world...and i even like the looks
a 40 MPG, 4 door super car?.....I'll have that!
@a1sweden i completely agree, when I first saw it I was so unimpressed but now its grown on me, but I think the Jag is better all round imo
theres a typo on the title. it's Pan*A*mera, not Pan*E*mera.
Great! Looking forward for more.
Harry Metcalfe should have his own TV programme!!!!!
Sport plus on a diesel
Great and we need and wish videos in Real Best 4K 60fps HDR resolution clarity quality soon please and Sound in full HD 3D Stereo Surround.
Great video!
i don't get the hate on the internet towards Diesel. they are economical, sounds well (imo.) torque.. say no more.
2:10 `...they probably put big cover on it so you can't see the VW part mark on it`
Great review!
I actually really love the design of the car...
i can see the diesel in the cayenne SUV but not in this "sports sedan". anyway, thanks for the review!
And this is exactly how i fell about this thing. Who cares about looks when you've got such an interieur with four identical seats? Imagine having a spin with four of your mates in that. Great review.
@sendark001 yeah, maby that is it but it is not an excuse for listening to that tractor sound in a car like that every morning? IMO
AHHHH another porsche i like all your videos you need to review pagani huyara
Great video! Learned a lot.. :)
I love this guy.

My car has red instrument needles as well, but the similarity stops there.

5:13 tire squeel?
I noticed that too.
and 4,000 rpm redline???????

@TheFreakyGames plus the reliability of diesel is far superior to that of gasoline engines, easily get 400K plus out of a vw diesel engine
I wish Porsche would just get on and build the Sport Turismo, which is what the Panamera should have looked like from the very start.

They should do exactly that even with the Panamera. Porsche should also quit making the Macan. As I can tell its just a rebodied Audi Q5.
i want a panerai watch now

@kerrmooo So he makes money due to promotions of car brands/models ?

Thank you.
In reality Panamera looks much better than you watch in videos or in pictures.
harry is a master
i feel like Harry could give me a tour of a smart car and it would be entertaining
You can say it's a disappointment but I'd say it'd be a dream to own it
Looking to swap one for my cayenne gts which consumes 13 mpg 🤭
@SummerTheFuzzy nothing wrong with diesel my friend :)
I love your comment.
Needs the Q7 V12TDI. Then it will be a rocket!
There is a Panamera 4.
Harry must be rich, what does he do for a living?
@halfhappy117 yeah, that is maby it
Awesome!
he summarizes that car perfectly. Id still take the new BMW 640D GranSport over this.
lol hilarious, but dr. wiedeking was 6 foot 2. quite a big difference from 6 foot 8.
@MrShouldknowbetterUK You know that's right!
Like this guy.
Don't like the looks off it but I bet it's a great car to own
@TheFreakyGames range, range, range.
Panamera 4 is a PETROL V6, diesel only comes with RWD.
Panarei and a Panamera, two things I don't have.
