Finished 'Trials' on Sun and loved it, too! Ended up delighted by the creepy medieval fantasy horror element. I had no idea that would turn into such a big thing and loved it.
I really liked book 1 and 2 (actually book a little bit more 😅). It's a great story and feels like something "new and fresh" amongst other fantasy books. I'm curious about book 3, waiting for the German release 😊.

I'm over halfway through Tyranny of Faith and hearing you talk about the last book makes me want to hurry up and finish it already, but I've also liked reading it slowly and actually thinking about the story during breaks. I'm enjoying the second one a lot and now I'm really excited for the conclusion!

I think the paperback of this one is due out in August so I'm planning to get it then, and hopefully start reading the series around that time. I finished The Tyranny of Faith a few days ago. I am really looking forward to The Trails of Empire, but I’m also not quite ready for anymore visceral emotions/reactions quite yet. My heart can only take so much! 😂
She totally stole the scene - I was listening to Regan wrap up, but eyes 100% on Matilda! Also amuses me that she insists on going under the covers - I've never had a dog that did that.

I finished The Last Tale of the Flower Bride last night on your rec and I was sitting down to start Justice of Kings when I saw you posted this!. Okay, this may be a dumb rec but...have you read the A Song of Ice and Fire books?? I know, I know. but I promise they're a lot more horrifying and medieval and beautifully written than the show was!
My library still hasn’t put a copy up of Trials of Empire on Libby. I am so tempted to just buy it but then that means buying 1 and 2. Ok I’m going to finish this vlog to be influenced to purchase. 😅
I finished this book last night and I cannot stress how much medieval horror is a top tier vibe! I have very similar thoughts on this conclusion, very sated. I think my only disappointment is the lack of Aegraxes in the trilogy when I thought he would have a larger feature since he is on the final cover! Dont get me wrong i love the cover art, but maybe it would have made sense to put Claver (that evil b*tch 😂) instead.
The only thing I'm not loving about The Trials of Empire is its going too fast. I want to sit with the characters and their choices and journey more. I feel a bit of whiplash with all thats happening.
