    Sir, if ct ratio is 400-200/1 And burden is 20va means then what is the burden the winding rating is 400-1 and 200-1

    Sir do u have any idea of ct class x , I have gone through one drawing where for differential protection and ref a ct with class x is mentioned in the drawing , any idea sir ?

      Yes....
      Its a special type protection CT for differential and REF-Restricted earth fault protection....
      Knee point voltage to be consider for this special type protection...
      Will do separate video for selection of CT in differential/REF protection

      5 VA is a CT rating
      You have to decided how much VA to be use based on connected meters
      Example
      You have 500KVA transformers means its a rating of transformer
      How much load to be connected to transformer like motors(how much kW), lights(40 watts or 60 watts)
      You have to calculate...

      Current transformer is step-up. Secondary winding has more turns than primary. Therefore step-transformer.
