    I can’t believe you fly inverted that close to the ground especially in windy conditions.
    I have experience pilots with expensive prop and EDF planes that would never fly in 17 mph winds.
    Great video and thanks for sharing.

    You've gotten a lot better at flying since I first began watching you. In fact, the first video I ever saw of yours was when you crashed your E-flite Viper. You were commenting on why it was important to keep the power up in the turns when you bought the farm by spinning it in. Hahaha, that was a really bad day for you as I'm sure you remember it well. You've come a long way since then. I'm sure the online retailers will be sending all sorts of different aircraft to you to demo any day now. That is, if they haven't started already. Take care, gramps! 😉

    Knife edge spin: start with a stall with full left rudder/left aileron/down elevator. Let off rudder almost immediately and focus on keeping full down elevator and tinkering with amount of left aileron. If the plane tries to tumble down with fuse upright (more of an upright flat spin), reduce left aileron. If it tries to tumble down more inverted, add more left aileron. The biggest tip is to hold full down, slight to no left rudder, and play with ailerons from 50-100% (or more) to the left. My flex planes tend to need more left aileron throw than any of my other planes and when all else fails, test it with more aileron throw than you normally use. Always keep near full to full down elevator. Tinker with left rudder but mostly keep it close to neutral. Tinker with throttle to wind it up once you find the sweet spot. Left rudder (now is OK!), right aileron, zero elevator, and THROTTLE to exit inverted when it gets wound up.

      Thanks! I will have to try this on the sim. The tutorial I watched on this had the start in downward roll then going to full down elevator and matching left rudder but holding it for the maneuver. I'll admit it never looked great but very close. I can't wait to try this out. 👍

    • @kmatch1
      @kmatch1 Год назад

      @@IJustGotHere The sim wants more left rudder than real life so that’s why I make a big point of mentioning “no/little” left rudder after the start. Every plane I own from 2cell to 120cc hates more than a touch of left rudder in a KE spin. When learning use very little rudder - tinker with rudder later to slow the descent rate. The sim will lie to you on this one! It made learning this one harder than other maneuvers.

    Gary have been looking at one of these for a while. Might snag one from FLEX at SEFF. You're using the 6s setup? It just needs some Crazy Eddy accents, great flight, looks like it would be nice next to my Flex 300 Extra and Mamba 10. 🤣🤣😂😂😁😁 Jeff in LA USA

      It is a 6s power plant. I'm using a cheap 6s 1300mah battery i found on Amazon. Changed the xt60 to and old ec3 I had laying around. 👍
