  • I get asked all the time why I fly so many Flex Innovations planes, and if I work for Flex. This video is my answer to that question and the insinuation.

Great video Tom. Love your honesty on all your product reviews.

Cool. I love your presentations on planes and wood working. That and our age makes us pretty similar. Nothing better than touch and goes on a calm, early evening. Especially with a plane that has lights. I have an E-flight Cherokee that I like a lot as well as a Timber Twin. I'm thinking about putting lights on my foam laser lite. My friend has the same plane with LEDs and really looks nice.

Love your content, and honesty. The main reason for that question is 99% or more of RC RUclips channels are shills/sponsored. In particular there's a few 'direct competitor' channels to yours (also reviewing similar planes, gas or nitro, large-scale, non-HorizonHobby etc). Of note is H*bbyView who routinely reviews LegendHobby/SeagullModels and is absolutely a paid spokesperson but has happily refused to comment. In fact, many of the shills are known only due to Facebook leaks rather than disclosures, which while not required, are considered a mark of integrity.
More than any other interest I'm aware of (and this goes back to the days of "RC" magazines), it's been difficult to get accurate and unbiased information outside of word-of-mouth or the now-defunct internet forums.

Great content, Tom. You mentioned having owned/flown 8 or 9 of the foam Flex Innovations planes. What were your top three, and why?

Cessna 170, 60eCap 232 and the 10e Yak, all great fliers, superb slow-speed handling yet all aerobatic as you want.
