YES!!! ERIC CARR WAS ALSO ACCOMPLISHED AT PLAYING GUITAR, BASS AND KEYBOARDS. HE WAS ALSO A SONGWRITER AND ARTIST. EXTREMELY TALENTED YOUNG MAN!!!! LONG LIVE THE FOX!!! ERIC CARR F-CKING ROCKS!!!!
I liked Peter better. He kind of had a swing going, a bit jazzy, he did some interesting things on those early albums. I thought Eric was a great drummer as well. Very talented, but he was much more straight ahead rock....
Eric was a beast on the drums! He played his heart out every song, you could tell he really enjoyed playing and gave 200% every performance! 🤟 I wish he was still here 🙏
This was great. If you were blindfolded yet still had the headphones on up loud , you would never thought it was KISS. It sounded like something other than the classic KISS sound. RIP Eric Carr..
im 15 my dad got me into KISS i dont get why he thought they sucked in the 80's this is awesome you dont need makeup for a good show this video proves it
Eric Carr was ABSOLUTELY the Best Drummer KISS ever had!!! Peter Criss looks like a 5 year old compared to Eric!!! As a person, Eric was a solid human being who cared about others! Yes, he had his failings as we all do! However, HIS HEART WAS ALWAYS IN THE RIGHT PLACE!!! Rest In Peace Eric!!! You are missed!!!
I agree! As much as I do have sentimental fondness for the original lineup with Ace and Peter, there is no denying that Eric drums circles around Peter (and even sings better), and Bruce is far more skilled on guitar than Ace. This was their most talented lineup. … with apologies to Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer, who are also both better than Ace and Peter, by the way. ;)
I definitely increased my resolve to learn drums after Carr hit the pro circuit. Peter Criss was my first and Eric Carr just took that to a totally different level!
Go back to the Album "Creatures Of The Night", from the year 1982. The drums were absolutely MONSTROUS on that Album! In fact, Eric Carr said that Creatures Of The Night was his favorite Album from KISS, ever!!!
Beautiful Eric Carr (lindo little fox) with a beatiful and powerful voice that drums that he played with great precision, power and pleasure. Eric I carry you in my hearth , thank you for you leaving us such a precious legacy and with the security that you were the inspiration for many who love drums. I love you, RIp cute fox by Kiss.
Eric Carr ROCKS!! How sad is it that it's been almost 20 years since his tragic death. What a loss to the music world. No doubt if he was still alive, he would still be putting out some of the most amazing drumming ever.
Eric Carr! Great Drummer! Great athlete as it takes great athletics to play like he did! Forget all that...he was such a nice, integral person from what people who knew him told me in person. Watch some videos of him being interviewed and you'll see how warm and loving a person he had such loving, hard-working parents backing him up all through his life.
riproar11 He’s also a hero! When a fire broke out that killed the lead singer and keyboard player of Fox’s pre-KISS band, he could’ve escaped on his own without any blame, but he risked his own life and saved one of the other members, too. They should’ve made him a honorary fireman for that!
Peter is my favorite drummer ever, but Eric Carr actually plays a lot like my second favorite drummer, Rip 🙏 to him as well, Mr. Frankie Banalli from Quiot Riot!!! Rip 🙏 to both of them!!! Catman in his prime was amazing and fantastic 👏!!!!
@@jeffmosier3145 I don't know why my comment would make you say that. I was at a show on this tour. I agree with you. They have always been a great band.
I saw this show two nights before they did it in Detroit. It was my first concert and it was in Saginaw Michigan. Terrific show and a great birthday present.
Back in the day I work at the Fayetteville Colosseum in NC, I was backstage and met Eric he gave me his groves and drum sticks, what a nice guy been a fan! Kiss put on a hell of a show
Talent wise that is very true. But Peter and Ace were the perfect fit for the band because what they had were KISS’s true style. Ace came up with the perfect solos to fit each song they wrote and Peter had those jungle style rhythms. And that was really all they needed at the time.
@@cohibabutt peter and ace were fine in the 70's but kiss would have broken up at that point. Peter's playing style for sure wouldn't have worked in the '80s. Kiss was able to continue because of the talents of the other player's that came in after. Ace and Peter were never my favorites. Had either Peter or Ace not been the originals and came in after they wouldn't be held as high to some people. Could you imagine if Eric Carr had been the original drummer and Peter replaced him. He'd be demolished by the fans.
Their biggest mistake was their greed not letting him be a real member of KISS he more than earned it just as much as Peter if not more so he was more dedicated and his heart was kiss he was what Paul & Gene were looking for in peter.I ain't bashing Pete but Peter lost focus for what ever the reasons they may be.Eric Carr saved Kiss he gave Gene & Paul a kick in the ass,He deserved so much more from them and so did we.WE WANT K I S S not K I. Might as well had flashing sign the Gene & Paul show.
never got the Credit he deserves ...but one of the 2 best in my mind ,,,,,The other is Mick Tucker also one who never got the Credit he deserves ...RIP Eric Carr and Mick Tucker ...Your both Truly Missed .......
Vinnie was a jerk to the band.. Reember Kiss Fired Vinnie.. Bruce came in without a BIG EGO. and he worked his butt off.. I still say Bruce was the best Lead guitar player..
I say this to everything, but as just an average listener, Peter and Eric both sound great! Anyone who has touched drums is impressive to me because I could never. Love Eric and Peter both so ♥️
i like eric singers drumming better but eric carr was one of a kind he was so laid back and just seemed like the nicest perseon even durring his last tour he had been in kiss for 11 years and you could still tell he was just as happy as when he first joined in 80 its sad to hear gen and paul alost cry every time they mention his passing . Eric Carr definitely Belongs In the top 5 Greatest Drummers in my opinion
Eric had a handsome voice wow. Out of the the three drummers Eric Carr is my fave.
BlackRoseNite hands down the most talented. Even though I think eric singer is fantastic. Eric Carr was bad ads

Easily! Eric Singer is good, too, but I MUCH prefer Eric Carr's drum playing!
His work on the Creatures of the night album is epic. He was freed and unleashed on that LP.
There are no words to describe how great Eric was, it's a shame he's gone. We miss you Eric 🦊♥️
Best Drummer from Kiss. He has power, passion and fun. Great Drum Sound
Tony D yeaaaah
I just watched Eric Carr's solo and Peter Criss's Peters is way better then Eric's. My Eric rest in peace.

Amen brother. Not quite as good a singer but he did sing much cleaner than Peter.

eric did a great vocal. he wasn´t allowed much material to sing on, cause paul and gene reigned. but he shined anyway.

In my opinion, the studio version is the best, but I think Eric sang it better than Gene did live on the Lick It Up tour.
