I realize why Konnan gets high as hell on every show. If not he'd reach through his screen and choke out Disco for never letting anyone finish a @#%ing sentence. I would not be able to take that.
I tried to ask him once why the hell he had Disco on the show. If he didn’t I’d still be listening weekly. I miss the days of Konnan, Court and MSL. I never missed an episode. I go out of my way to NOT hear Disco. Take that for what it is. He might even be worse than Alice Radley. Boom.

Same. He’s cool and has great ideas but he’s so domineering here. He gets excited and talks over everyone and it gets chaotic with them trying to finish what they’re saying and him continuing to try and talk over them
that whole Raven vs Benoit vs DDP was really incredible TV. it lasted for months and it nothing at all to do with the nWo.

I always wished Raven became bigger than he did. As a young fan, I was fucking stoked everytime I saw him in the ring or saw a vignette, a back stage segment etc. He had the "It factor" and was held down. Konnan also had that thing, where he could have been much bigger with the proper push.

Raven wasn't held down. He had a shitty attitude, wasn't taking care of himself, and was a massavie drug addict. Why the hell would Eric or Vince push him if he was pilled up every day and complained about everything backstage?

They never gave him a push and his own faction in wcw? He had tons of mic time during that time and just couldn’t appeal to the majority. Same thing in wwe and everywhere else.
I really hated Raven and his dumb gimmick of sitting on the ropes or on the mat looking bored with his opponent and bored of everything - maybe it appealed to some people, but certainly not me. If I was another wrestler I wouldn't have even worked with the jerk

Yeah Disco interrupts everyone and keeps talking over them. I’m hitting “Do not recommend” videos lately. I like his ideas a lot of the time but he causes chaos in these podcasts that make me switch off these videos when he gets like that

It's funny because Raven and Benoit are the best at what they do, but are on the opposite ends of their expertise. Benoit, amazing in ring technician, shit promo and character work. Raven, shit in ring work, but his promos, character work and storylines are still some of the best. I would imagine they approach their matches very differently lol

I saw a match with Benoit and Marty janetty (or maybe it was Rick Martel) and he held back on his chops, so that holds true. Probably was Martel I do know it was one of them though.

I love Raven, but that made zero sense. Benoit worked a program with the flock and was friends with Saturn; he worked with Guerrero and Malenko and was friends with them too. Disco and Konnan couldn't be more right about what they said.

I always was a fan of Raven, but there was also something very unlikeable about him too. He gave off this douchebag I'm better and smarter than you vibe. Saw him at a TNA meet and greet in Nashville. Almost tripped over a table looking back like someone did it to him lol 🤣. Kind of poetic for a guy that was acting better than everyone else.
Never got a chance to meet Benoit but he seemed like a guy that would be the opposite of Raven. At least more humble and respectful. So it looks like that is where the heat would come in. Raven was a great character and stood out as unique but definitely seemed like a jerk.

well the better smarter thing was his gimmick so unless you are talking about personal experience where he appeared to behave this way he was just working his gimmick. he really worked his gimmick and behaving intellectually superior was part of it (also sort of shoot too since he is a member of MENSA)

I remember putting on WCW as a kid and watching Raven wrestle, I always thought he was the worst in ring wrestler I've ever watched. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thought that. He's up there with hulk hogan when it comes to lack in ring ability
