Did my first tandem jump for my 40th birthday 2 weeks ago. I am now saving for my AFF in May/June 2024, I am absolutely hooked! Skydiving is just out of this world 👌
You'll LOVE it! A friend suggested the idea to me a few years back. Now back in 1990 I'd done a static line jump and I swore that I'd NEVER jump again unless the plane was on fire....Anyway, this girl talked me into it, and I did a tandem, decided I liked it, and then booked for the following Summer to do the AFF. Got my licence about 6 months later (Did most of the course in Spain and finished off the rest of my consol jumps at my local club here in the UK). You'll make friends for life and have some awesome times. One bit of advice.....NEVER neglect to run through your emergency procedures.....It's not a case of 'IF' you have a malfunction.....it's 'When'! It WILL happen if you jump for long enough, so make sure that you are ready when it does. I'm NOT in any way trying to scare you, skydiving IS really safe, as long as you do stick to the procedures!
Wow. I made my first jump in 1977 when I was 17 years old (made 150). In those days, we all used military surplus round parachutes to learn (squares were relatively new), did 5 static line jumps, a few "hop and pops"....and were on our way. The big skydiving movie at the time was "Masters of The Sky" filmed by the late Carl Boenish (i think it's on youtube). Another early skydiving videographer was Andy Keech. Those 16mm movies totally inspired me. But now.....it's amazing how the sport has evolved, and modern skydiving videography is breathtaking. I'm 61 now, and I really admire how far you guys have come in those 40+ years since my last jump. I still dream about it and relive the excitement vicariously through these films.
Yeah, this puts it into perspective. Ive lived it for 26 years. No doubt the best days of my life. Hold tight, it doesn't last forever. The love I have for my friends will never die.
As someone who left their country to be a full-time skydiver and DZ bum, who started BASE in 2007... this was like a look back at my own thoughts and feelings throughout the years.
Temped to do an AFF after doing my first tandem the other day.. being terrified of heights I found it breathtaking (literally) and empowering! Will do a few more before I consider the course! After looking into it more I’m more worried about the landing and control of the shoot 😬 great doc though!
I have 250 jumps now. Loved this video. Speaking of danger I’ve almost been hit by a plane overflying the airport and had cutaways with line twist. But I will never stop this sport/ addiction/ way of life! Good video
Did my first tandem skydive four days ago. Was a 40th birthday present for myself. Thinking about applying for the AFF licence. Was so terrified doing the tandem. Might do one more before applying for the AFF.
The only issue I have with this video (At the time of posting this comment) is that there are only 1709 views.... This is an awesome video and I wish I could’ve watched more. Such an incredible work of art and a great representation of what family can do together. Far to few likes and views.. Keep up the incredible journey and thank you for allowing me to see a snap shot. Blue Skies
I’m doing my coaching jumps now and the feeling is something I never knew I could ever feel! Thank you for your video, I love it! 💛 It was the first skydive video that I connected with, it speaks of passion and experience no one could understand except the people who experienced it. Keep your awesome content 🙌
Amazing video! The young lady in the video that got married; is she the one from the viral base jump video where she jumps off a bridge while police tried to stop her?
Bill Dause was my 1st jump instructor in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1972 I think he has more jumps than anyone in the world last I heard loved for the 5 years I used to do it.
Interesting. I was on a Lodi King Air many years ago that lost its port engine-in a right bank-at 1200’. That plane, same tail number, crashed in Hawaii killing 11 people. The incident was terrifying, getting back up in the air was too. But….we do it don’t we?
Take me home by Zenith. Yeah might be hard to find, we made the choice to get permission from all the artists to use their music instead of using well known commercial music. We spent a lot of time tracking down unsigned Australian musicians, and came across some awesome tracks :)

Do it. You won't regret it. If money is a problem, talk to the instructors. They have crazy ways to work things out
@paulmulks how did it go?

that place crash vid was unreal
The terror of the person who cut away to find the emergency shoot tangled got me 😂 that looks like a terrible situation to be in !

Life shrinks or expands based on your amount of courage.
