What’s good CAJ? You’ve been blessed with that Truck Bruh!!! I can tell you appreciate what u got by the way u take care of it. That truck will last along time by u babying it. Great job!!!
You're money ahead even if you have to inframe that motor..Keep up the maintenance and get some synthetic oil in them rears and tranny..maintenaince really important running the lease roads..
Good job excellent buy time to make some money. Bigger sleeper box and even if you have to do an inframe you good for another 10 years as long as they rock and roll the maintenance is kept up religiously who say you gotta have the latest and greatest to stack paper. Keep on with the keeping on I’m still out here with a 1985 Kenworth W900 I bought in 1987 I’ve done on complete frame off rebuild may do one more before it’s over and they find me stuck to my mattress in my sleeper at some truck stop.
And please put a fuse inline to whatever wiring you run directly from the batteries. Preferably close to the power source. Prevent electrical fire. Roll on driva✌🏾
The best looking truck is a paid off truck with zero emissions. Doesn’t matter what engine it’s got, if it still has paint, or if you have to use a eLog. This is a good working truck. However, get those wires fixed so they are reliable and you have solid connections.
Good deal on that truck. Not a big fan of the Mercedes engine but as long as she burning fuel them wheels are turning. Always a plus when you have a truck that runs good with no big overhead like 600.00/wk payments. Would buy a pre DEF/DPF well maintained truck any day over a newer truck with DEF.
You better put full fenders on rear if you put a window in back of sleeper. And still cross your 🤞🏾it don't shatter. Get electric cordless grease gun. Makes it easy
Hey thanks for making the video. I'm personally looking for something with a 60 series. long enough to be able to fit a battery Apu on it with Shore power rechargeable. But short enough to easily be functional in most of America. Remove the passenger seat and put the refrigerator right there if necessary. bake the passenger seat area basically like a kitchen. That apparatus behind the sleeper that's the PTO equipment isn't it? I figure that space could be better used for an OTR truck. And for heat reduction reasons. If I can just find a double bunk stubby truck like that I think I might be in business. Side note. When you made that comment about a 60 series I clap my hands together. Because that's the motor I'm looking for. Mostly because parts are everywhere and it's cheap to work on and durable. The 60 series is the Rocky Balboa of Motors. It keeps taking a beating and keeps coming back ready to fight.
15k for pre emission money well spent I paid 55k for my 2016 Peterbilt 579 spent about 15k so far on it next truck I get will be a 1995-2007 Peterbilt screw the newer trucks I'm at 735k miles
@@ChasingAndrewJackson My work before it shut down last week had a Volvo with a non egr D12 with 1.6 million on the motor. It had some blow by but we swooped the cylinder liners and rings. I have been looking at getting a truck for around 10k and put a classic plate on it. Is it worth it?
I don't understand why people point out defective parts when DOT are all over RUclips looking for truck drivers RUclips channels to fuck them up. I bet now they know the weak points and location and the make of the truck, ITS JUST A MATTER OF TIME ANDREW!!! Keep up good work though 👍.
The rear light ONLY need bulbs.. it either an 1157 white bulb or 3157 white bulb.. only cost bout 2dollars a piece and you can change it.. DON'T BUY WHOLE LIGHT ASSEMBLY
Jon Scott the rings on your pistons are letting gases slip into the crankcase. That drops power and you get diesel mixing with your oil. After a while the oil stops lubricating and the engine is trashed.
Hey, im a 16 year old who wants to get in to driving a truck after highschool and perhaps even before that, but i do not know where to start. Should i buy my own truck like you have here or should I join a company?
Foxx get a license and get some experience with a company since your under 21 you can’t leave your state in a rig so buying a truck for local gigs my not be a smart play but that depends of your area and freight... patience is key in trucking, crawl before you walk buddy dont rush it you may regret it
6 month rattletrap gonna leave you cold give it a break will ya put it into a backup role see if you can buy 2 identical trucks oh ya check it out ole melvin there messed up you ,,, and me also hmmm well to bad gotta admit andrew he has it on his face i see it
Nah it’s all good. Any pre emission engine can last you long enough to make a ton of cash. Getting a rebuild done is about the same increase in price as getting a truck with those “better” engines.
Nice truck there's a lot of good trucks for $15,000 I take that EGR off though it's a good solid work truck beats the heck out of a Quality Companies lease truck for 500 to a thousand a week
Ima bout to leave CR England for a lease at John Christner Trucking! They told me its only $1100 a week AND i get 89 cents a mile!
That is the worse plan ever🤦
To make some money you need at least 2.50 mile
Don't do it
@Scared of Bigfoot No dealer charges $4400/month for any semi
lmao estas pendejo o que?fking rookies thinking leasing a truck will make more money🤦♂️
I'm a truck mechanic and I love the older trucks. Good looking freightshaker.

Congratulations.your plan is working.and it's looking good.
Love to see a young man doing the dam thang👍
I ran a 2006 Columbia with the Benz engine hauling end dump local for a couple years. Never had a problem with it. Ran it hard too.
Had a FLD back in the day, solid rig. Pretty good deal @ 15k. A little bit here, little bit there, it'll be a nice ride driver.
What’s up CAJ ? Great truck. I love it. I got a 2003 freight liner with a Detroit 60. I love it. Be safe out there.
Older cheaper trucks are the way to go. My 93 fld flattop runs daily. Good to see ya bro
I love flattops the best.

Clean the truck man
Its a work machine you shouldn't have to wash it, it doesn't have much value to it.
Get some rear fenders, to help keep your truck clean. I'm headed out Monday to start hauling crude. Hope to bump into you sometime.

As u like to say , “ u don’t need shoe shine out there”!!! I will say that u can bring “ shoe shine” to smthg old just got to put in the time!! 👍
Looks like a good investment.

Yo, have u ever thought about buying a bigger sleeper for the truck??
Did even show the out side like that😊
Boss👊🤓
It’s mine, that’s what it is!!! Fan4lifeBro
She’ll look good if you paint her black!!
Do you still have this truck? Did you have to rebuild the engine?
Still own it. I rebuilt the engine back in 2020
Does OM 460 not have an EGR? I never thought it would have lasted that long with an EGR
Yeah it has an egr😁 Could be modified though😂

Anybody know what a Mobile Diesel Mechanic can make in the oilfields in Texas?
Good money maker right there 👌
How many miles was on the truck when you first bought it?
715,000
When u going paint
FLD 120 or Classics are only sweet when they have Detroit 60 on them
Are you doing power only on the crude or is it better to have your own tanker
i never done crude before
@@ChasingAndrewJackson Ok give us an update on your progress
Have you made your money back
yeah 5 months ago
Is it truck-lite?
Why dont you want to tell us why you change your oil every month?
i run more miles than what ppl think

What does it mean when you have blow-by???

Rings went or they weren't seated right
Piston rings worn usually. The more you have the more wear there is in the motor. This truck looks pretty good and sounds smooth
still have for sale

It's a vent tube. Not a blow by tube.
Dont go by dash miles go by ecm miles
2007 means it is new enough to read out from the ecu. This is the Classic shared with the Columbia frame and computers.
You install them chicken lights, or they came with the truck?
