    I just wanted to compliment you on showing you care for your viewers by responding to their questions. Too many others never respond. So thank you for always being courteous and responding. Btw, no response needed. Thank you from a grateful student.

    I really like net pots over anything else. I felt like it breathes better and can still see the roots if long enough.

    What people don't realise is that leca is not an exact science and is a lot of trial and error. I keep get questions if this plant or the other is doing well in leca, but the answer has so many variables....anyway, lovely video like always sweetie😘💕

      Thank you❤️I know...and also, size of plant, location, pot size...it’s a LOT of idiosyncrasies

    Hi again Rachel
    I have a few questions again🙈
    It’s regarding my Monstera Albo, Birkin and Pink Princess.
    I put them in Leca for about 1 week ago and because I am living in Denmark and we have winter time here. I have my plants under growlight. Is this okay or not?
    Also you say splash them with water, but what if I gave them a little too much water by accident?
    When will you take the plant out for the first time to check the roots?
    Thanks again for educating me in this Leca thing💚

    • @prettyinplants9580
      @prettyinplants9580  4 года назад +1

      Yes! Love grow lights and use them like crazy-even in texas-too much water-just wait a long time to let it dry out or put out any excess

      @@prettyinplants9580 omg I just noticed my Monstera Albo has gotten a severe case of root rot in Leca. I overwatered and took her out today cause I could see something was wrong and almost all the roots were gone.
      There are 4 big long nodes left.
      What would you suggest?
      Leave her in dry Leca and Pumice or Spaghnum moss or even water?
      Am so scared to loose her😭😭

    • @ceoofmyhome
      @ceoofmyhome 4 года назад

      Ok-don’t panic-you can put her in just a water vase for a few weeks to get some new roots going

    • @crazyplantgirldk387
      @crazyplantgirldk387 4 года назад

      @@ceoofmyhome Well I actually put her back into Leca but this time with alot of Lezhuza Pon.
      Have absolutely no idea if she can grow roots this way? And this time I made sure the Leca was only damp so she wont rot further.
      Have you any experience with growing roots in this set up?

    Tips on transferring a Ficus Audrey water cutting to LECA? The roots have been growing in water for over a month now.

    • @prettyinplants9580
      @prettyinplants9580  4 года назад +1

      Just plant it quite low-1” if LECA and then roots-small pot

    Hi Rachel
    I am completely new to this whole Leca thing but today I repotted 3 plants to Leca and seeing this video got me so confused.
    I transplanted my Philo Birkin, my Rhaphidophora Tetrasperma and my Philo Silver Sword.
    I gave them all a reservoir with Superthrive drops in but now you say I shouldn’t water them right away?
    For how long and how much should I pour onto them when seeing signs of thirst?
    Lastly how important is it to soak Leca for /4 hours before use?
    Thanks so much in advance.
    Kind regards from
    Stinne, Denmark

      No reservoir! Those three plants LOVE LECA...but just top water no motor ya the first few weeks

    • @prettyinplants9580
      @prettyinplants9580  4 года назад

      Also, I just rinse LECA prior to use

    Hi Rachel, I put my calathea roseopicta in Leca, and the new growth is sprouting shriveled up. The other leaves are doing fine. I'm not sure what to do now. Its been in Leca for 3 weeks now. I can send photos of Lil if that helps. Any advice will be great.

      Also, many plants are VERY quiet the first month, if unsure, pull out and check roots and then put back into dry leca

    Where do you get your larger size grow pots? 10” or more? Do the lechuza self watering pots come with the grow pot?

    • @prettyinplants9580
      @prettyinplants9580  4 года назад

      Up to 10” and then I have been testing fabric grow bags with a saucer underneath

    i have a snake plant that’s grown roots in LECA for a month ... should i add the reservoir now? i’m nervous cause it gets root rot so easily.

  • @earisu
    @earisu 4 года назад

    Was it not due to go yellow and brown because there was no roots left? And it was just timing so when you put it in water you assumed it was the water that did it?

    • @prettyinplants9580
      @prettyinplants9580  4 года назад

      Yes I’m just basing this on other plants that I have put into LECA that had no outward change for up to six months and then suddenly the new growth exploded...so the yellowing leaf just tells me when I made that change it it made it not quite as happy
