Awesome made that 6 sound like my FE390. I know that's a lot of work u have done to her and it's well worth it, nicely done. Not many mustang owners keep the 6 I'm glad U did looks and sounds amazing
Nicely done Gus. You've put a lot of time and money into a very sweet ride. Please do another vid. Maybe ridin' around town and some blasts up and down the road. Looks like it was a v8 car to begin with maybe? Big fan. Love sixers.
Jordan Morrow its a 2.5” exhaust I made from pieces from my local auto parts store. The muffler was an oval chamber style. It was too loud and I’ve since changed to a magnaflow style muffler with fiberglass packing. Much more liveable.
Very cool Gus! I’m about to purchase my second ‘67 Mustang Convertible 200 I6 / 3 Speed Manual with all the engine mods plus T5 5 Speed swap what average MPG do you get?! Did you swap out rear end / what gears? I plan on daily driving my new rig in my hometown of San Francisco!
@@gus91343 I have DUI Electronic ignition and a new complete re-wire kit for the whole car for resto mod applications from NPD. If you could describe some of the parts and pieces you used for all your electronics within the engine bay. I have had my six for about 10 year now. It is in the process for a big overhaul.
Gus, what are the details of your exhaust system? What mufflers are you running, what diameter of pipes, X or H pipe?? etc. your car sounds amazing. i am making some of the same modifications to mine in the near future and want it to sound very similar to yours in the end. Thanks very much
I have a 6 into 1 Scott Drake header into a single 2.5" pipe- it was going into a Thrush Rattler muffler (when I made the video) but I have since changed it to a Magna Flow muffler as the Thrush was just too loud for every day driving. It's simple and has worked well for 4 years.

The fan I got was a SPAL unit I purchased from the Fan Man; I called them and they advised me to order an 2.05" thick SPAL unit that was only $60. It pulls 1300cfm, and has worked in hot LA traffic with my engine with no issues. the-fan-man.com/product/16-spal-low-profile-pull-type-electric-fan-s400/
You know, I haven't had it to a dyno, but having put a few miles on it and having some other Mustang folks driven it as well, we all agree that it feels about the same as a stock 289, which isn't too bad!
@@gus91343 been following your build...its awesome!. Was wondering on your cam. You said it was a 108* but under the part # you listed the 6474-0-b which is a 110. Is that the correct one?
So much cooler than the run of the mill V8
that's gotta be the best sounding 6 (especially at idle) I've heard. almost V8-like
That sounds every bit as mean as a V-8. Nice!
Damn!! Sounds bad ass!! Very nice job
God... That's an orchestra

what exaust do you have on it? sounds really good. like what muffler
I went back and found that I had a Thrush Rattler muffler on it- single chamber. It did get old after a while.
@@gus91343 how come? Too loud for daily use? And when are you going to upload an update video
@@HowToNation Yeah, the exhaust note beats you up when you daily it. I have new videos up- take a look at my other uploads.

nice build . working on something similar. can you provide details on the wheel size front and back 15x7 or 15x8s? and offset if possible . thanks.
Awesome! Where did you get the alternator? I really need up upgrade mine.
Just a standard 94 amp 3G Ford alternator. You can get it anywhere.
What exhaust do you have, I'm doing a similar build for my Fairmont with the i6. I like how yours sounds. I'm going with a sleeper build for mine.

Sounds like a great car! I'm getting about 21-22 mpg on the highway with 3.80 rear gears in an 8" ford housing.
Can you do that to my F-150 with the six cylinders 300 pls,
Could you give a run down on the electrical setup within the engine? I would like to do a heavy setup for 12v as well
What would you like to know?
