    Got my 1966 mustang a few weeks ago I’ve been thinking about a similar set up with some headers. I really enjoy the sound that duals have.

    Sounds nice! But that looks to be the original factory exhaust manifold. It will get louder when you put an aftermarket header on.

    At first I thought you had dubbed the v8 exhaust over the video.. it actually sounds like my 289.. wouldn’t believe it had i not seen this .

    Could you tell me which 40 series flow masters you put on. I'm in the process of doing the same thing, but I'm not sure which 40 series to buy.

    I have a Ford falcon 1961 with the same engine 200 6 inline, but this one sounds nice, I hope to set it up the same as your mustang

    That is one nice mustang. My dad used to have one. It was red. But other than that his was the same as yours. I love the sound of loud muscle car exhausts. I think my dads had a 427 in it, but I’m not sure

    Just came across your channel, I’m really liking your car. I too want to give my 67 a GT look. What I’ve done to mine is simply cut the muffler off hahaha.

    What size are your pipes running back? 2 1/4" or smaller?

    I noticed that the wheels are now 5 lug and not 4 lug. I have a 6 cylinder and have a 4 lug wheels. How did you convert to a 5 lug? I would like to do that to mine.

      Standard Flowmaster Original 40 series, 2,1/2 inch in and out.

    That sounds clean , we have the same engine. May i ask how much roughly did exhaust run you?

      I provided the mufflers, had them from another Mustang I used to own, I think it was around $300 for parts and labor.

      I haven't had the car for very long so i'm not sure on that, I just wanted it to have some nice sounding exhaust.

      you can always slap on some aluminum heads, split headers dual or quad carbs.

    What type of mufflers and size pipe did you install? Sounds awesome !!

      it's 2" out of the header since it has an original manifold and then splits into 2.5 inch pipes into dual Flowmaster original 40 mufflers.

      It still has 4 lug wheels, those are wheel covers made by Scott Drake that simulate a 5 lug, they are pretty convincing.

      It was an option offered in Aug 1964 and later, so early build Mustangs never had them and Aug and later may or may not. My March ‘65 Mustang doesn’t have them.
