I normally hate square watches, but that thing is beautifully chunky with a really industrial and somewhat steampunk look to it. I'd wear it.

It’s most certainly a unique watch that would be worth trying out at the $375 price point perhaps Jody as you say, but at $500 with an NH35 movement I don’t think it’s worth the punt. Great 👍 review as always.

Compared to Seiko pricing, $475 seems fairly reasonable for this one. I might actually consider buying it. I love unique, ‘in your face’ watches. I wouldn’t get to wear it for more formal occasions. For me, those occasions are not once every year or two. How a watch dresses up is just not an issue for me. Thank you for a fair, balanced review Jody.😍

I wear a Bell & Ross BR-03-92 bronze diver as my daily and I really enjoy it! It’s quite slim just a hair thicker than a Rolex submariner and it wears nice and flat across the wrist. I certainly agree it’s not for everyone but one can’t argue it’s unique! Great video Jody

Movement is good...great lume....in either titanium or bronze, I love the look! I would love this watch as a daily wearer! Only problem, i think the price is a bit steep. There are a lot of great divers with the NH35 for a lot cheaper.

The really awesome news is that Aquatico sell those Mermaid-on-a-Dolphin casebacks from their webstore. $20US and we can have one of our very own to savour and delight.
Sadly, the Super Charger needs a supply of toothpicks and cotton balls to clean the crud out of all the crevices. Each to their own, but IMO the Aquatico Oyster is the real star of their show.

I just purchased a Shield Pascal Pro-diver which has a square case, 200m water resistance but is quartz. Aesthetically, I like it more than the Aquatico. Might be worth a look for some of your viewers. Thanks Jody. Love your work.

I own an Invicta 3964 Square with a Fiber Carbon dial. I wear quite often and I get complements all the time.

I have a bell and ross homage. (I didn't even know it's an homage, I just thought "it's a cheap chinese watch and I like it" so I bought it, and found out what it is later). I wear it sometimes and I like it a lot. I tend to not notice it's square. Actually I tend to not notice it at all when I'm wearing it.
Yes, looks similar to Bell and Ross square watches. Not my taste but if you like square watches, this may be for you. I think they are off their rockers for the price they want for it, but that is my opinion. If it had a swiss movement the 500 dollar price might be justified. NH35 is very cheap.
I like the bronze with the green dial. This is my grail.

got a black ceramic BR-03 and I'm still loving it. Granted I might be biased due to the aircraft instrument design of it, but that's the whole reason I wanted one since I've seen them.
works quite well for me as a regular watch and I'm never scared of scratching it due to the full ceramic case. (also the legibility is the best out of all of my watches)

Very nice, now thats something i would wear.. I agree NH35 based at that price a bit ott, but its bronze and there are not a lot of them with a unique style kicking about.... Ask me in a couple of years when the price has dropped and the patina has done its trick.. i'll probably have it on my wrist...

My first watch ever was a Bell & Ross BR03-94 “Golden Heritage” chronograph, and I still think it’s got marvelous design and wears a treat. The Aquatico, in my opinion, looks to be a near-identical clone in design to the Bell & Ross diver. While I don’t own the B&R diver, I’ve had it on wrist in person many times and it’s one of the best divers I’ve come across!
I have recently purchased a Bell & Ross BR-S, steel version, which is the quartz offering from B & R. I have a number of automatic watches but wanted an everyday that didn't need setting when I wanted to wear it. It's 39mm but looks bigger because it's square, I have a Panerai and that IS big in comparison.
It comes on a silicone strap and wears really well and it is probably the most legible watch I own and has become one of my favourites. This Aquatico is too busy for me but watch lovers should try a square watch, glad I did.
Keep up the great reviews, I too would love to see a Nautilus homage review please.
The titanium case looks more handsome. I guess if you want a 1000m water resistant watch, it's no too pricey.
They could have iced the cake and made it a reverso.

I agree with you Jody.. The price point is off.. Its not my personal style, but it might be for some.. I would just buy a Seiko myself that will hold its value better and IMHO a lot prettier.
As watches go, its got an interesting look. I would consider buying one. Not a daily wear, but more for when you want to look a little quirky. Or show your unique style.

I am retired USAF and if I didn't have my eye on a superior "square" watch I would consider this one (Rhyno Timepieces) to me seem to be the top square watch on the market. I did contact the company and would love to review the watch. It is rumored that Bell and Ross use a $300 ETA in their $1500 and up watches can you confirm or deny? I appreciate your videos and hope to reach the level of notoriety you have achieved one day. I truly have a love for watches/timepieces.

I must admit, I really like this watch & I don't mind that it has an NH35 movement, they tend to be a workhorse movement. $375, not too bad, I'm not convinced with the 1000m, but if it can handle 300m at the very least, then you will be getting a cracking, stylish divers watch. I think I want one!

I kinda like it, though I'd opt for the titanium version. Seems like a combination of a statement watch and tool watch. Could've ditched the date complication, though.
I quite like it, prefer a chrono or GMT for visual interest though. As a frequent wearer of my Steinhart Aviation Chrono and Zodiac ZMX01 I'm a fan of square watches, and this is a decent effort IMO :-)

I do like a square watch, I have a Monaco, and it doesn't feel too imposing on the wrist, not sure I like this one because it seems like it doesn't really know if it wants to be a square or a round, and looks a bit ood
I’m wearing a beast currently, the Hamilton BeLowZero. If you’ve got the arm size for it, instrumentation style watches can kind of grow on you.
If they had done a round case,I would consider it. The dial is very attractive.

Nice review Jody... Thats like if B&R and deep blue had an offspring. It does look a little odd seeing a dive watch execution in an instrument gage case. Something different for sure. I don't think the casual observer on the street would think anything of it really. Those of us familiar with traditional horology and the association of iconic designs with specific brands... might find this one a little odd. I like the hands with the glow lume arrows and trit tubes though... no mistaking the hour and minute with full night-dilated vision.
I feel like this watch is an acquired taste, id give a go.

You missed one Jody-- the date isn't even between the 4 and 5 marker. At least it doesn't't look even in your vid.
That’s what leapt out at me too. Apart from everything else that is... Just replace an index, _any_ index.
The date window is certainly not central but his remark about the twelve indices not being parallel is wrong. That is simply a common optical illusion caused by the large angled indices on either side and the very reason many manufacturers don't do that.
OMG as you said the had a baby quote I was thinking that! That's some serious lume! Strangely it's kinda nice. I would probably try t but might flip it.

I was quite liking it but that date window is a shocker.
Include that one in the next episode of Lume wars please. Perhaps include a category for watch with most amount of lume colours...
I like the design of the watch but I would want the same material (uncoated bronze) for the entire watch. The crown doesn't appear to be coated and if that is the case it will not patina the same as the case of the watch. I am not a bronze fan and would like the watch with other material offerings. A no date version would help clean up the dial and I like the date window to be cased out. I give Aquatico credit for doing something other than the usual round diver. Overall its not a bad watch that may or may not have mass appeal. Only time will tell. Where do you find your t-shirts? I always enjoy seeing what different shirt you are wearing for the videos.
The only other company I know of that makes squared watches besides Bell and Ross is Rhyno, they are definitely aesthetically pleasing and use some crazy materials in their watches, but they are rather expensive for ETA movements.
I see the lugs attach on the bottom case portion only and there is a space at the top of the case. I’m guessing that will be snagging sleeves and ruining sweaters.
Great video. I own an aviation dual time from steinhardt one of my favorite watches it's Square super well done and big but I have a big wrist 8 the quarter inches so I like Square watches just depends on how they're done
When you first showed it I thought it looked awful. As the video went on the more I started to like. I think I would definitely give it a try at $375 but not at $500. For sure an interesting watch!

Hi Jody, my boss gave me a 45mm square chronograph with pushers and crown on the left side. Black anodized 24mm strap. I don't wear it much but that acuatico maybe. Why the coating on the bronze though I don't get that. Anyhow great video, thanks.
I don't need the titanium or the 1000 m depth (perhaps 200 m at most) wala they can now hit that $375 price point. If they want to give it an interesting feature, maybe make the case back bronze too.
