Couple of years ago Marc at Long Island, responding to a comment, said there was no point trying to show tritium in videos because it barely glowed enough to show up on screen. This was a week after I’d been showing everyone an awesome photo of my incredibly brightly lumed tritium watch taken with just a lousy phone camera. I’ve said for years that tritium annihilates all other lume but no one ever listened. Well done for finally capturing it on RUclips! cough cough Jody!!
The Tritium tube's color is key to how its perceived brightness is. I have the Isobrite 350 with the green tritium tubes for everything but the 12 o'clock marker. I purchased an Isobrite Afterburner Blue with blue tubes that are doubled up at the 3, 6, 9, and 12 markers. I returned the Blue as the blue tubes were not even close to being as bright as the green tubes even when the blue tubes were doubled up and brand new. As Kermit says "Always go green!"
I'm really impressed with it. Thougg I always have this ridiculous thought in the back of my mind: but what will I do in 25 years when it's not as bright?? Thanks Bob!
The bronze and green with the suede strap really compliment each other. The watch has a touch of "Steampunk" about it particularly with the Tritium tubes and square bronze "depth guage" feel.. An interesting alternative look when there are a lot of submariner homage to be found. My only concern is that the corners would accumulate dust and fibres ( First World Problem I know right??!!)
I got a tritium watch a year ago for $100. (Carnival with swiss quartz movement, day date, 30m, white dial, 24 hr,mineral crystal) i love the lume!!! It isnt much but the transition from day to night you can always see the time! And i think it looks great!
Great review! Thanks. I liked the way you did the lume comparison as it is very hard to capture tritium. I have a Ball watch and once you're used to the reduced but much longer and constant glow it's a nice feature. Tho my Omega X-33 Skywalker glows all night if charged before going to bed. But then it's a different price point! I've been considering whether to buy one of these Aquatico watches for some time. It's a nice package especially if you bump it up to the Sellita movement and the latest versions have date windows too.
Not for me but there is a lot to like. Also I thought you said the Tritium had to be charged. Maybe I misunderstood. I thought it was constant without any “charging”. Thanks for another informative review.
Big fan of your channel if it isn't already obvious lol Another great review video. Have a degree in fine/visual arts from many moons ago so unique design, executions, case builds etc. I happen to find it quite appealing, just as much as I appreciate traditional classic builds. This Aquatico offering is no exception...The Lytt Labs inception prodigy you previously reviewed falls into a similar spectrum for me. Would like to add both to the collection.
I looked up why bronze is preferred in dive watches, turns out it's more resistant to seawater than stainless steel... metal parts of boats that are under the waterline are also made from different bronze-based alloys.
Excellent spec and price, except would want a better movement tbh, (tho understand why,) and the style is very divisive and not to my taste.. 1000m is pointless 200m is far more than sufficient. Cheers 👍🏻
It’s a beautiful watch, not sure about the price vs. movement but it’s put together well, the one year warranty feels stingy for the price. For some reason l keep thinking how much I like a nice sundial... great video Dave
I've seen some cress watches on Aliexpress that have Tritium. Also, Marathon makes tritium field watches for the military that are also available to the public. Ball is perhaps most famous for their tritium watches and those have a bit of a field watch asthetic.
Hi Dave, there in Japan how often do you see foreign brand watches on people's wrist? Are national brands like Seiko, Orient, Citizen and Casio the favorites there?
Never heard of it but I love this watch now that it was brought to my attention thanks I love the shape the color green is my favorite not much of a fan of blue the fact that its tritium everything except the size although I know I could pull it off it seems just too bulky & clunky & heavy quite another tank of a watch
Been eyeing this watch some time as it has some Bell & Ross genetics and is square (hey, I got way too many round watches). The 20 yrs you quote is for regular T25 on most watches. In 20 yrs it will be half as bright as it is now. So T100 in 20 yrs, will be still brighter than T25, which is great. But not inclined to pull the trigger yet on... Good to see this review: still not decided on this.
Zelos is working on one. It's really tricky because bronze turns skin green. So Zelos is doing a two layer bracelet, steel on the bottom, bronze on top. And it's going to be expensive because of the manufacturing.
I'm pretty sure most professional scuba divers don't go even close to 100 meters deep much less 1000 meters. Once you get past around 300m of water resistance it's more about showing off your engineering prowess than actually producing something needed.
This watch is called the "SUPERCharger" NOT the "SEACharger" I got the name mixed up a few times throughout the review. Sorry about that!
What's the story behind Tavannes Watches and why does no one review or talk about this brand?
Didn't even notice lol
Also, isn’t this a SW200 movement version? The Seiko version has a date and a solid case back.
15:20 now that's a good way to present different lume brightness on different watches.. KUDOS 🙏
I agree! that was superbly executed.
thank you for highlighting watches that dont really appear on most watch channels, appreciate it very much!

If only they had bring the size down .... 43 is large, especially for a square one. Great review.
Big fan of Tritium. Love it on my Marathon. Thanks for the video Dave.
I'm really impressed with it. Thougg I always have this ridiculous thought in the back of my mind: but what will I do in 25 years when it's not as bright?? Thanks Bob!
Having now watched the whole video it was really eye opening the advantages of tritium. No competition.

I don't mind square watches and I think this is a nice looking watch!
I'd buy it.
Good review Dave 👌 the Seiko movement kills it for me. I'd rather purchase a Ball with a Swiss Movement
You can pay $100 more to get a Selita instead.
That is the type of watch that I can wear with ease as I have a 8 inch wrist. I like it 😊

Love Aquatico, they don't get enough press. Creating really brilliant watches at a really affordable price. Very impressive.
Super big and super cool watch. Thanks for showing it to us!!!!
I have to review an Aquatico on my channel after seeing this!
That is a impressive watch. You really get a lot for your money, with great design. Great video Dave!
It's hip to be square 💪🎶🎼🎵

Agree with you 100% on movements... Great review as always.
I like that Bell & Ross style case, the logo is not the best but it's not, it seems like good value for money, I may buy Aquatico someday, thanks Dave

Thanks man! Glad to hear some of these more unusual designs getting a little love. They tend to be pretty polarizing.
would be interesting to put it against the lumicast we use in our model!

Nice video. I suggest you take a look at Nite tritium watches, and Deep Blue as well. Much better.
Nice review. Isn't that case a little taller than other watches with the NH35? or are my eye just "seeing" it as taller?
It’s a beautiful watch, not sure about the price vs. movement but it’s put together well, the one year warranty feels stingy for the price. For some reason l keep thinking how much I like a nice sundial... great video Dave
For 100$ extra you can get one with an SW200 movement. That's what I did.
Great review! Thank you for that. That lume intrigues me. I wonder if there are any dress or field watch styles that also use Tritium for lume?
I've seen some cress watches on Aliexpress that have Tritium. Also, Marathon makes tritium field watches for the military that are also available to the public. Ball is perhaps most famous for their tritium watches and those have a bit of a field watch asthetic.
Awesome lume test.
Have you ever considered the make Mathey tissot .
They are truly great value for money ( Swiss made } with a great heritage since 1886 .
I just bought the silver and black model but very disappointed with the Tritium dial does not seem to glow at all
Another great video Dave 👍
Best lume test ever 👍
The reason the top is still very shiny is because Aquatico applies a coating to the top of the watch.
Hi Dave, there in Japan how often do you see foreign brand watches on people's wrist? Are national brands like Seiko, Orient, Citizen and Casio the favorites there?
I see Casio the most by far. Then probably Seiko. Then Swiss luxury brands like Rolex and Omega.
I would like it if the case were as Bell & Ross.
Great review!
Never heard of it but I love this watch now that it was brought to my attention thanks I love the shape the color green is my favorite not much of a fan of blue the fact that its tritium everything except the size although I know I could pull it off it seems just too bulky & clunky & heavy quite another tank of a watch
Why did you stop doing the end theme music?
Great looking watch
Consider reviewing the proxima uni dive watch?
I've heard Tritium doesn't age as well as loom though. Is that correct? Otherwise these are pretty nice but a tad expensive for my blood.
Yeah, it has a 25 year half life. So in 25 years it will be half as bright.
Aragon have just released a 45mm watch with 31 t-100 tritium tubes and mop dial at less than half of the price of this watch.

Long time since you commented but there's 30% off right now
Not an understated watch, huge body. The tritium is cool. Rather hard pass aesthetics because of the case
I would prefer a bracelet over the leather.
Zelos is working on one. It's really tricky because bronze turns skin green. So Zelos is doing a two layer bracelet, steel on the bottom, bronze on top. And it's going to be expensive because of the manufacturing.
What’s the difference between this and Supercharger V2?
Is this the bezel being brass on v2?
Great video
I would like it if Aquatico made a smaller 36mm (square runs big 36 looks like 39 or 40) one. This is so big it looks speaking frankly, ridiculous.
Tritium and other radio decay substance are unbeatable at night
Its different!
Is it just my eyes or is something misaligned on that dial?
1,000meter? You could literally take that thing deep sea diving. Can people actually go that low down without a special vehicle?
I'm pretty sure most professional scuba divers don't go even close to 100 meters deep much less 1000 meters. Once you get past around 300m of water resistance it's more about showing off your engineering prowess than actually producing something needed.
3:55 sadly this look more like a Bell & Ross cat copied watch
just not going to wear a square watch.
The movement here is a one corner cut too many for 500$
I've recently sent you a business inquiry on your registered e-mail.
Hope to hear from you

Que manía de vender
NOPE
This watch is hideous. It offends me. Who on earth is this aimed at? Best place for it is 1000m underwater where nobody can see it's ugliness.
First like! 😁
Legend! [This was what RUclips suggested for an automatic reply]
@@JusttheWatch 😂😂😂😂😂
First!
that ugly square design ugh.....
