I just purchased a GA645Zi that had been repaired and CLAed by a technician in Japan. They replaced the ribbon cable and did a full CLA at the same time. The camera works like new. Unfortunately, I don’t have the name or address of the technician, and I don’t know what they charged-it was all included in the price I paid for the camera.
Yeah, I just had mine repaired by them. Be prepared to be without your camera for about 4 months though. Mine is on its way back as we speak. Had a cracked grip replaced as well.
@@Renzsu 4 months - wow! Was that time with them or does that include shipping? I will be really interested to hear how your camera is when you (finally) get it back. I was planning to send mine off this month but I may wait until later in the year based on your timescales.
@@JasonFriendPhotography Just got it back and loaded some fresh film and batteries. In shorts everything works, full LCD functionality and backlight works as well. Up to you to decide if it's worth it, but my thinking was, to best get it fixed while I still can. Who knows if they're still around in 5 or 10 years.
