ofc you're commenting on the background music xD

@@DaviVasc fr its great. Also would love your input on the music in the second half of the trailer (arkveld theme)
60fps with framgen is a HUGE problem Framegen makes sense if you can hit 60 fps native but under 60 fps it's terrible
Yup, my experience with Wukong on base PS5 in a nutshell.
I wouldn't panic until we the game actually releases, MH World released with rec specs targetting 30fps but they could do better.
@@killerfugu2659 ^yeah and world was a mess on launch on Pc
@@sneakysnake3344 Yea with MP disconnects and it was quite CPU heavy, but the suggested a 1060 for 30fps high when it could do 1080p 60 instead
I hope TGS reveals the downloadable demo for performance testing purposes- because the PC recommended specs have really made me worry for the full release performance of the game
Hope so, but probably not. The game is 5 months away so I think it'll be possible in nov-dec, but now seems a bit early
usally its 1-2 months prior to release max. So that would be January at its earliest
hopefully the demo has the forest map in it since that looks like where our fps will start to really go fucky.
it appears it going to be in line with DD2. it's the same engine so it'll have many of the same issues
@@Cptraktorn not how that works, the reason dd2 suffered so much was not bc of the engine (many good running games were made on that engine) it was bc of the physics and calculations the cpu had to do for the MANY npcs in the game which wilds wont have apart from bigger monster herds, so at the very least wilds shouldnt have a cpu bottleneck assuming you dont have a potato cpu
And then RUclips reviewers will be like "the performance was good the game runs decently on my 4090ti and i9 14900" 🤣
The specs posted has soured the excitment of my group. Even those of us with beefier rigs are concerned about being able to run the game smoothly. I really hope the team is able to polish and optimize things in this final stretch.
Looking forward to seeing performance reviews
Lol, if your group has ''beefy'' computers, it's not going to be a problem... But if you consider an RTX 4070 ''beefy'' then you don't know what that word means.
@@wilber2234🤓
@@wilber2234 I mean, to be fair, 4070 is actually higher end. It's not *that* high end, but the vast majority of consoles and PCs that people have do not have a 4070 nor better. So yeah, you can easily consider a 4070 to be on the beefy side. I think the real issue is that *you* do not know what beefy means, considering that people are concerned with specs that people actually have, and not theoretical builds based on marketing.
Also, keep in mind, those recommended specs are with framegen, so basically still not even native 60fps 1080p... this is a very worrying spec that the vast majority of players will not be able to meet.
@@wilber2234 No offense, but you actually have to be insane to consider RTX 4070 to be mid-tier or lower GPU.
Warning, rant ahead:
Also, this ridiculous mentality that it is perfectly normal for AAA video games to have these god awfully insane requirements that is actually just the result of game developers not giving a flying fuck about optimization pisses me off to no end. Have you paid attention to the requirements in the first place? Only 60 fps WITH frame generation (probably going to look like shit too because of it) on 1080p on medium settings with 4060? Bro, if that's going to become the standard for every new AAA releases we are going to actually starve to death with the amount of fucking money you'll have to pour every few years, or, in worst case, every few months into the most expensive PC hardware ever on the market if you want to keep up with new releases.
The game has fuck all optimisation, for those that dont know they said for recommendet spec it achieves 60 fps with frame gen, thats means it running at 30 fps native, running that low with frame gen the input delay is crazy.
I just watched a video explaining how bad this is for PC and holy cow how did they let this through.
Even putting frame gen into your recommended specs is criminal honestly
not happy with recommended specs for PC. Seems like they just don't give a F about PC when it comes to optimization . Need to enable Frame Gen just to run 1080p 60PFS in medium settings that's some bulls**t.
I get it's an ambitious project, but jesus christ, that spec requirement is terrifying.
Hope Capcom announces a open Beta soon.
The Val Habar music in the background was very nostalgic. Such a great game MH4 is.
at this point I want the demo asap more to know if my pc can handle it than for the hunts itself...
Like I said before we may have another DD2 situation for the PC on launch.
This game uses the RE engine which was used for RE8 and DD2. Both of these games struggled with their PC port at launch.
You are going to need a 4060 or 2070 super to get 60fps at 1080- with Frame Generation on for the MEDIUM SETTINGS.
This means most people who can already barely afford a new gaming PC due to today's market will have to use the lowest possible settings in order to run it.
In addition, they are using Frame Generation to get to 60fps. THIS IS THE RED FLAG. You should not need more that a 2070 super or 4060 to get to 60fps naturally.
Also to the point of the density of creatures... Cyberpunk, lot's of pedestrians, cars, and more and you can easily get to 60fps with less capable hardware (with pathtracing on).
The issue may be that they have poorly optimized the many animals and the weather system code for PC so we could be seeing a lot of frame drops and stuttering as things are loading in. Just because the processor may not be the bottleneck does not mean that the GPU may become a new bottleneck.
they also have denuvo for pc
Cyberpunk is A bad comparison, at launch it didn't run great, even on high end systems.
bro actually used Cyberpunk for comparison. Ahh, the irony.
@@guyfawkes0511 Yes I used CURRENT cyberpunk as a comparison which is currently optimized. Straw man.
Talking about the pricing, it's kinda expensive xc
requiring frame gen to hit 60fps (which wont *feel* like 60 in terms of your inputs) is crazy, especially given the recommended cpu and gpu are pretty beefy.
i heard from people playing the demo that performance was rough, and i was hoping they were gonna fix that by the time the game came out, but if this is the recommended specs then i worry itll be real bad on launch.
The steam page for wilds calls the eye patch "Fencer's Eyepatch", so seems different than the sealed eyepatch in name at least.
the higher specs seem unacceptable tbh, the minimum not so much but the higher ones, bruh frame gen for 60 fps? are you kidding me? i hope for capcom they put much time of these 5 months into optimizing performance in wilds because however great wilds is it doesnt matter if its a laggy mess for 85% of the players at launch : (
The price is really getting wild.
Not really at all lol monster hunter always gives you way more than you paid for. One of the only games that deserves that pricing
@@derrickfarbes1805 I know mh considered to be good, but lately theprice in our country is getting shit. Also seeing the optimization, I will hold it for now and see it when release.
The price (at least in USD) is industry standard at this point, but industry standard sucks 😕
It's nearly 100 dollars up here in Canada.
specs are a big yikes ngl, having to rely on upscaling to run the game at 60fps 1080p on a medium config is nothing to be proud about.
I'll definitely be holding off until I see how the performance is at launch now. The specs for this game are absolutely ridiculous.
It completely damped my hype for the game honestly. I had planned to build two decent PCs, one for me and one for my brother. But now, I do not think that I will be able even to build one for myself with price hikes plus this hard-to-swallow specs
They're really not that bad for a modern game...
@@KenTenkoWhat modern game did you play recently?
Hopefully they will have a demo so we'll be able to see.
I've been playing Black myth Wukong and space marine 2 on my 2080 super max q just fine on high/ultra. If you want to play on ultra settings, then sure, you need an upgrade, but you put it on medium/high, it'll run just fine.
"minimum 1080p (upscaled) " dude....
🤣
I will only disagree on your CPU point. The interactivity will mean the computational power will be on the processing of the data between all of those interactions happening on and off of your screen (like DD2 towns with their NPC interactions and upkeep and why it switches from being GPU bound to being CPU bound when entering cities). If they are properly leveraging graphics like any modern company, then the only power that the GPU is gonna use is what the player is seeing and not loading everything, everywhere, all the time. I am going to assume that they didn't post beefier CPU specs because even the highest end CPU's cause dips in cities. Either that, or it's because they are only shooting for the 60fps framegen, using the framegen as a crutch (even though framegen, per the manufacturers of it, like AMD say, and I will directly quote AMD, "When using AMD FSR 3 and FSR 3.1 frame generation, it is *highly recommended to be always running at a minimum of ~60 FPS before frame generation is applied* for an optimal high-quality gaming experience and to mitigate any latency introduced by the technology").
Denuvo definitely isn't going to help the situation, either, as proven with RE:Village pre and post-game cracking with scenes such as the fight with the daughters.
Other than that, thanks for your work, Ruri, in breaking it down! Neat to learn that Japan is getting the option of a bicycle. XD
this is going to be a trainwreck... the "recommended pc specs" flat out say that this game is going to run at 30fps or 60 with frame generation on console ... and its going to be an input lag fest .... gotta love capcom
Must of not played MH games before ehh
They better do something or we're getting a very very very very very negative launch reception.
Not really lol , the people crying about specs are funny because they don't wanna upgrade things. MH is pushing limits and the things the game has in it and what the game itself looks like is def so high requirements. But that's mainly a PC issue the bigger playerbase resides on the Xbox and Playstation and they are juts fine
@@derrickfarbes1805 how is that mainly a PC issue? console players are okay to play a game at 20-30 fps 720p upscaled in 2025?
@@derrickfarbes1805 another pro for console playing i guess? Not so tedious than PC?
@@ravlin1963 they are lol (kidding, mostly. Some console gamers consider 30fps to be buttery smooth). That performance is not going to be good and Wilds is going to recieve a lot of negative reviews for it. Happens constantly with games today.
@@derrickfarbes1805Dude I am easily in the recommended specs but the game’s specs are implying that it can barely run at medium settings. That could imply a problem with the PS5 which is significantly weaker than my PC - we should all be concerned
$40 for some extra cosmetics feels criminal
Yeaaah most preorder cosmetics are only used for the first half or so of a game until you unlock something that’s a bigger flex than spending an extra $40.
So I wouldn’t get it. I think the only significant early access / pre order bonus that carries any real weight is the founder pack from warframe. Excalibur Prime is nice to have.
Been saying this in rurikhan previous video but people are like it’s okay I don’t mind losing 40 more bucks for cosmetic
dude i already felt that 69 price for base game UWU
I didn’t mind losing the $40. Yes I understand that a lot of developers are going to try to rip the fan base off. But this group has been doing things right. So I don’t mind supporting them
@@nicholasmarquez3399 and that's their choice. personally I'm glad there's literally nothing the special editions offer that I care for so I'll just be getting the base game.
I still worried about Feb 28 release been too soon. Capcom made have seen the reaction at gamescon and want the game to come out sooner. It not that I don't trust Monster hunter devs. I just don't trust Capcom and there investors
The investors wanted the game to be released in the holiday season this year, and probably February, still within the fiscal year, was the compromise, sadly
Ummm no not most MH games launch windows have been Jan through March and did just fine
@@derrickfarbes1805 Dragon dogmain what I heard had many issue. Releasing in Jan-March is a Capcom thing same with DD2. We not sure in this current market. Many respected titles had mess up because of sharesholder. MH is still acceptable to this
with those pc specs with frame gen i wonder how hard denuvo will impact performance aswell
You just know that if there's another Final Fantasy crossover event then one of the fluff items will be a Chocobo outfit for the Seikret.
No arguments here!
You just know that if you can change Seikret there will be a Mod for Thomas the Tank Seikret
If only there was a Demo out there that lets us try the game without paying for it, to check out if we can run it...
What's the point in having recommended specs for running the game on medium settings?
Recommended should be for high or max settings at least imo
Not only medium, but that also assumes youre only going to get 30-40fps without framegen enabled. Enabling framegen for anything under 60fps baseline adds horrible input lag and artifacting. These "recommended" specs are lower than what realistically should be recommended considering that fact.
Recommended specs this gen should be matching console experience which would be dialed down.
I don't agree, if medium looks good it's normal, it's cool if the game has the possibility to be even prettier in the future.
In that case recommend would be a 4090 and whatever AMD equivalent exists. That's probably useless info to most people.
Ermmm no... Recommended should be on Medium. Minimum required should be... the game runs well enough to actually play it, but not a great experience. Recommended should be settings and hardware required to have a smooth experience with minimal graphical concessions. High/Max/Ultra settings are for people who have excess hardware power beyond running the game smoothly.
Imagine if it said you need a 4090, an i9 14900K, 64GB of RAM, and DDR5 SSD as "Recommended" the game would flop because the impression would be you need a top of the line system just to make the game run in a tolerable way.
Now I would like to know the hardware requirements to run at 1440p 60FPS, since I think 1440p is catching up to 1080p, but I'm pretty sure by Steam's statistics 1080p is still overwhelmingly dominant. Even telling people what the game would take to run at 4k is pointless, if a consumer can afford that rig, the spec sheet is pointless anyways.
The RX 6700 XT being recommended for medium quality is ridiculous. That's the GPU I run in my three thousand dollar setup... That GPU is worth almost as much as a PS5, but it's good for MEDIUM quality?! I planned to preorder immediately, but I'm going to have to hold off until I can see the games performance. I'm not playing on medium graphics.
Thinking about it, these specs make me wonder if we're about to get another Wild Hearts in terms of performance.
what else you got in there to spend 3k on a pc with a
@@joshw.2739 AIO cooler, 4TB SSD, 64 GB DDR5 RAM, Ryzen 7 7800X3D, LOTS of fans, etc...
The people I was talking to when I built it said that I realistically wouldn't need a better GPU, and I thought the same after the last year of maxing out the graphics of every game I play.
I actually plan to add two more sticks of RAM and more storage, but I have a memory leak issue to figure out first.
@@noiosobear6284 ooh yeah that 7800x3d and the 4tb ssd is a lot
How is this shitt going to run on a regular ps5 is beyond me
Umm no not at all it will be fine
It probably won’t even be a stable 30fps.
At a locked 30 FPS, hopefully. Maaaaaaybe 40-50 on the PS5 Pro.
I can't believe one of my favorite armor designs (Guild Knight) is now a "limited bonus"... not sure how I feel about this.
Does that mean that If I get the game on a later date (after February 28) I will not be able to get this armor at all?
it says on the website "Bonus add-on content is subject to be made available separately in the future" under the Guild Knight set. so I'm guessing sold separately later?
or just mod it in if you play on PC
Don't quote me on this one but I think that is the case because they did the same with World and the Yukumo outfit. It would be weird if you get it for free when pre-ordering and ask money for it later if you missed it. It's just a FOMO tactic. And yeah I agree with you, I started with Freedom 1, I have nostalgia for this set as well.
@@MouseKeyboardPlayer Yeah, you're probably right, it's FOMO tactic. The nostalgia is what makes this so bitter, glad there are others like you who can understand it!
@@sirmazarin Together we're stronger fellow hunter!
I was there for Monster Hunter Rise's launch and it's expansion, Sunbreak. Both of those had pre order items and they were available to purchase after a while once the game and expansion launched.
This is just Capcom praying that you feel like you're missing out so you will give them your money ASAP. I strongly recommend you hold your money until we see reviews.
Whelp now seeing other videos on how this game will perform it's pretty likely it won't be good. Not buying day 1 if not at all. If my rig can't run this at 60fps stable it ain't happening. Game devs need to learn how to optimize games. They learned nothing from World.
Dont worry Australia we got you , in Brazil and in Steam prices are : R$ 279.00 , R$ 365.00 , and R$ 442.00.
Que lindo
Was super hyped for this, but if my steam deck can't do it, then I won't be playing. At least until theres mods or optimization updates, or valve makes a mega beef steam deck.
Wait you didn't get a PC but a steam deck and will get upset if it won't run on that instead of just buying a console that's pretty funny
Um…there are a good few games that don’t run or don’t run well on a steam deck. I would have bet money this would be one of them.
4060 for medium 1080p with frame gen on killed all hype that I had for the game, it’s like they gave up with optimising the game at all. Frame generation should be used to push already high fps higher, not as a workaround to achieve the bare minimum on **medium** settings on a >10 year old resolution.
What’s a recent game that was well optimized and maintained stable 60fps at 1080 and didn’t require something crazy? It feels like this is just normal for games at this point. Disappointing, but not surprising.

Welp looks like im upgrading my rig this holiday season. RIP PC's. This must also mean that console is doing 30fps, 60 might be a pipe dream.
The specs are concerning but I'm still hyped
1080p medium 30fps with frame gen to reach 60 on current gen middle of the road GPUs is absurd
Frame generation on that low fps feels horrible to play. I'm gonna wait for benchmarks because I don't want to deal with that kind of lag
Denuvo on release. Lmao no fucking thanks capcom. So sick of that shit.
NGL, the specs its a huge red-flag.. but lets see.
its basically the industry standard to have games at 70 eur sadly. im fine with monster hunter doing this cause its worth it but theres so many games out there that are not, the cosmetics for that like 30-40 extra is kinda bleh tho
spec wise i do hope they keep optimizing it and improving it, i remember my bff told me world release was also kinda bad, i have at least some home theyre gonna improve it like they did with world because rn world is running perfectly for me on high on an older laptop so i do think itl get better

looking at the specs, I just hope I'm able to run the game at 60fps high with DLSS on. Dragon's Dogma ran well enough for me though I was willing to look past the frame drops in the city
I know it seems minor, but isnt that charm something that affects gameplay?
Those charms are mostly just for something like "get slightly more endemic life / gathering point materials" so it isn't game breaking

Have they said anything about how armour skills work with having a 2nd weapon? Like what's the point of having a lance secondary if your main is longsword and you don't have any of the appropriate skills.
Probably hear about it at the game awards , but if it don't mix that's fine I will run different elements of same weapons or always have a HH for the buffa

FYI on the Cross play topic.
If you don't want to play with modders, you have to Turn Cross play off. However turning it off means you *cannot* play with anyone who has it turned on even if you're on the same platform.
Cross play isn't by default good. It has pros and cons.
I'm gonna be playing solo (because the MH Community is too toxic for LS users and focus too much on muh DPS)
I just wanna give people heads up because I only see the pros of Cross play.. and yes, there are plenty of pros to it.
I'll have my cross play off when I hunt a monster for the first time and as I go through the story quests. But I'll open it up for optional quests and just in general after I finish the story.

is there cross progression?
There is no cross-save
Looks at my I5+4060 hm... i think i am ready
1080p is plenty for me tbh
Really not sure why everyone is freaking out about these specs. A 2070 super is several generations old nowadays and 4060 is basically bottom end of current gen (which is getting close to being replaced as it is). If you have built even a mid tier system within the last few years the game should run fine. Frame gen is not as huge of a deal as many think if implemented correctly. Sure running the game at maxed out 4k 60fps is gonna need some beefcake systems but if you are trying to do that you probly already have a pretty hefty system. These specs arent nearly as bad as i thought from how everyone is reacting to them.
Nice
Series X and not a worry in the world. Which is exactly why I'll never swap to pc 🤷♂️
First comment ? :3
Nope
I am genuinely concerned and, honestly, appalled by the system requirements published for PC. High hardware requirements for 1080p, 60 FPS but on medium quality and only with upscaling and frame generation. I think that Capcom was impacted by greed or a step bigger than they should and just dropped the ball on optimisation
Has to be greed cause 40 bucks for cosmetic stuff is diabolical
I had to lie down after seeing that spec sheet. This is not good, not good at all.
or the specs are for the highest settings. like the hd textures or smt. im hoping at least..
I do not think so. Why would say that the quality is *medium* for the recommended specs without specifying anything else in addition if that was the case? They gave many other details
@@fulminus yup 1080p medium and still need Frame generation to hit 60. Thats rough man. I mean AMD says themselves that you need to get 60fps before turning on frame generation. What's goanna happen is it will run between 30-45 fps without frame generation.
Saying that a potato can run those min specs is pretty far off, considering 16GB of RAM is actually no joke for a lot of older builds, and most of those specs are definitely above potato build level. Also, all of that, and it only gives UPSCALED 1080p at 30 FPS! That's kind of insane! Usually min specs are 1080p native at 60 FPS.
Man.. no clue how bad those specs are for PC, but given how much complaints and worries there are, I can only imagine how badly it must run on base PS5....
Ever since AI upscaling became a thing we went from "you can use upscaling to play at 4k/120fps" to "you can now use upscaling to play at which should be the bare minimum/standard 1080/60."
its wild indeed.
Needless to say I'm waiting for a playable demo it get a feel for how it works before I fork over that money, despite how badly I want to play this game lol. $96.99 CAD is also really hard for me to swallow.
If your vision cannot run on the hardware you need to scale back. Capcom need to get things together because after dragons dogma 2 people's tolerance for this stuff is dwindling
If your hardware can't run somebody's vision then you probably need new hardware.
Whether it affects gameplay or not, this stuff used to be FREE and I’m never shutting up about it.
This game i gonna catch a storm of negative reviews because of the performance and thats a shame. Im super excited for this game and I plan to build new PC in january and Im srill worried how this gonna run.
Storm , pc playerbase isn't as huge as consoles there probably will be a wave but def not a storm lol
With those specs, this game will be dead on arrival for most people, honestly needing frame generation for 60 fps on recommended hardware is really really bad. Frame generation recommends achieving 60 fps before enabling it. So it will be a game for the high end pc gamers only.
For me too the specs are kinda a "i will not buy the game" - thing.
I build my PC 2 years ago, 6700XT and Ryzen 5600X 32GB Ram and i run a 1440p display.
So i am not even close anymore to run the game at 60 FPS, that is ... concerning. And yes, it reminds me of DD2. That game was a lag-fest.
This RE engine reminds me of Frostbite, praised when used on Battlefield but flops when used in Andromeda the first openworld game it's been used on then Anthem right after.
RE were praised for all the Resident Evil remakes, but floped in Dragon's dogma 2 again the first openworld game used on.
I hope this ain't a pattern.
