I'm writing this about 2 years after your video. I just bought this light and I love it. FYI, the three back fins have been adjusted by SL and the Polytac X now tail-stands easily and solidly. There's no balancing act involved.
I bought a yellow Poly Tac X for a family member to use when they take the dog out. I programmed it for high only to keep things simple. This is an excellent flashlight for the price.
I wanted a bright light under $50 delivered. I am not disappointed. I even slipped it into my pocket at work, and when my issued flashlight died, this light performed very well.
Nice review. I recently selected this light for mounting in my Elzetta A2 mount on my carbine. Interesting though, my light stands easily on the fins...not that it matters to me based on how I'm using it though haha!
I was gonna get one but I hate how they have defect on the head on all of them where they injection molded the head. So I bought a Way better made Surefire g2x tactical 600 lumen flashlight, the springs are thicker an has duel springs an has a Aluminum head for better heat dissipation. Also thicker orings, Surefire is the Best. 💪🇺🇸
Just bought one, online. Out of the box it didn't work. Forced to send it to Streamlight for warranty service on a brand new product. Purchased a SureFire to use instead. Whenever the Streamlight returns from getting fixed, I will donate it somewhere. I will never trust them again.
Wade Watts I took mine apart and stuck a piece of plastic in there. As for reliability it seems to still work well and is easier to press. Up to you. Looking around for small cylindrical pieces of plastic that would fit in there.
On mine too. I did send it back. I almost couldnt activate the light by the thumb. The click point was so deep I had to press straight in with the finger.
@Gieszkanne mmm i cant remember now lol, its been a few years. Whatever i did still works tho. I think i took the rubber off the push button and put a piece of round flat plastic to take up the space.
I love my light, but the clip is garbage. It doesn't stay clipped and it bends easily. Still, a great flashlight. The low, 35 lumen setting is fantastic; it is bright enough to see easily, but not so bright it washes out things up close. The high setting is strong enough to light up a vehicle's engine compartment during the day. Very handy. It does like to roll, though. Can't just set it down and always expect it to stay.
I can always beat Amazon on price! This is a older video so the price is always changing on items so keep that in mind. Also you can always reach out to me for coupons and even haggle on the price! Try doing that with Amazon! Thanks
It is. Actually the 600l are very bright on the PolytacX. Brighter than on others. But this is the best thing I can say about this flashlight. Dont be fooled by a bad camera.

I bought three, two are for work (security) the third nightstand duty. Affordable, bright, versatile, tough.

Just purchased from you and I agree the price is unbeatable, especially with the coupon code.

Are these made/assembled in the USA? The spec sheet online said they were. What's it say on the box though?
We fixed the button, stands on the end now.
Fixed? Now it has the worst tail switch ever!

He should have added the link to his store in the description ..
When do you know that have to re charge it? Do you just have to wait for it to die?
Can the clip be removed??
Yes
How is the beam compared to the polytac hp?
I need the higher 600 lumens but not crazy about the tailcap. Can the tailcap be interchanged with the standard Polytac? Thank you.
The tail switch on the X is terrible.
but the maglite can use as a stick kinda weapon tho
The switch on mine is awful. It's really gummy and requires a very direct press to click.

@@ItsMeUrDaad Could you please describe your modification exactly. How do you take it apart? Where did you place a piece of plastic?

@@ItsMeUrDaad And how did you take off the rubber? And how did you get it back on?
I agree with you 100%!
