I replaced my z3c with a x compact. The Z3 was a masterpiece.
the x performance is so slow, that even the clock is behind...
You have to consider that XZ has double less cores than S6, S7 series and Z5 series. SD820 is 2x2 cores whereas Exynos in S7 or Z5 are 2x4 cores. But XZ has crushing GPU that beats all of them. By the way SD820 cores are very effective.
z5 premium body and display+htc10 durability+android(sony software)+a10 processor+4gb ram+xz cam= perfect phone
I just smashed my Z5 screen, is now broken, now looking downgrade back down to either Z1, Z2, or Z3. Not gonna upgrade to any X

I have a z5 which is an excellent phone with a few unfortunate downfalls. I don't know what was going on with quality control for this device but one problem with many devices is a flimsy power button and white noise audio bug. another issue that I have is unevenly lit display (dark in bottom left corner and too bright in bottom right corner). if you're lucky you will have gotten a device without these problems
I have these same problems... Sony told me it was a defect on just my device. So i'll just live with it, because the display is still very nice. Also, do the icons on your display have a blurry ghost effect when they move? I had the old Xperia S and I did not have this problem...
You suppose to disable wi-fi of other devices when processing the test of current one . . .
Example: You start the test of Z3 - > disable wi-fi for Z5, X Perf. and XZ.
I did the benchmark on my z5 today and got the same single Core but the multicore was about 3200.

Hopefully Sony will get their shit together in 2017 and actually release something that is a true successor to the Z3 in every single way possible. That Snapdragon 830 will make a HUGE difference.

Yeah but Sony should start to do their phones with a 4K and 1440p display because mostly it's just 1080p they do and they have to try up their game a little bit.
My G3 has 2k display , battery is shit, S6 has it , battery is shit, if they want to go with 2k and 4k displays. Battery must be around 3600 or up , else battery will be shit

Actually they solved the heating issue with z5 now with updates. Now the hottest it gets is 40°c which earlier was 45°c at full load.
Thank goodness, i've been searching this type of videos that include z3. Can you do a speed test and multitasking, camera and battery test that include all of that phone but in z3 please install the nougat rom that you review since i will buy z3 and install that rom

I just bought XP as my second device and got 1731 single core and 3683 multi. Maybe a good time to consider one of these. 7.1.1 update is extremely optimized I guess.

Maruf Ahmed yea you easilycan...the word Sony is fainter on both front and back of z5 than older models... plus it was the only model in gold with only the Z3 and Z3+ being the only ones in copper of course it could be the the + from back angle only but the flaps and magnetic charger identify these two. th x performance is slightly smaller and has rounded edges and as you say, the xz has lazer focus.

Dont trust benchmark apps... They are usually paid by manufacturers to boost their scores.

- The Z3 currently running Android MM 6.0.1 but won't get Android 7.0 by Sony's official reports. But it's not Sony to blame, you can research it.
- The battery is impressive It holds up to day and a half / two with normal usage of Internet, games, calls, messages, may hold more for calls only. It may hold less with heavy usage, but doesn't matter how much heavy it is it will never hold for less than a full day.
- Camera is amazing but not what you will buy it for, probably. For example, the Z5 got a drastic photo / video quality improvement from the Z3 but this device still makes impressive shots.
- Performance is wonderful, no words.
- Also, you will love the magnetic charging. But you will have to but the dock/cable separately.
It is a 2 year model, but for my opinion, still competitive with nowadays flagships. I have also bought it a while ago and I am pretty satisfied with it even if it is not a new model.

I heard some people said they had issues with MM 6.0/.1 , like overheating or camera issue, do you have any issues? do you recommned to go on MM 6.0/.1 or stay at 5.1 lollipop when I get my Z3 ?
Well with the camera, it do overheats when you use 4K and very long videos. As I said, if you wamt camera go for Z5. (look for camera heating comparison and you'll understand. Search it on RUclips).
The MM update works perfect I haven't noticed any flaws expect volume bug in incoming calls. But it should be probably fixed in the next security update I hope.
But believe me the Z3 is a really nice phone for its price now.

Just realize how poor the display of iPhones are - ok poor might be too much but even compared with Sony's LCD it is outdated and surely no match for Samsungs Edge and Infinity screens. Love the ZX - fast, good looking, nice cam.

I would not say that it is. Considering that the Snapdragon 830 will probably be something special and the fact that the Z5 is still a solid phone (with a few issues), stay with it at least 1 year more.
