Toughest Mountain Race? Pica Pica Montcalm

- So obviously this race didn't go to plan in terms of completion but I had a great week with friends and considering the less than ideal build up I am glad I got to spend 30+ hours on some amazing trails.
The heat and altitude ultimately stopped me in my tracks but it's hard to show everyone how hard, steep and relentless that course is.
My legs were fine but then I couldn't run my usual race so maybe I would have trashed myself in a different way if the altitude wan't an issue.
Cest la vie.

That looks bloody ard….. considering injuries and not enough time to acclimatise mate you gave it a seriously good bash. Chapeau 😊
Thanks yeah no complaints 💪🏻
Found this after hearing James Elson talk about it on an old ultra running podcast. Brutal! 💪
Ha cool he picked me up from the checkpoint with a beer 🍻
Great attempt, you’ll ace it next time for sure 👏
You're a hero 🙌 If this makes anyone want to do the race then they have serious issues.
😂😂 👌🏼
Fair play Gary, that’s a cracking effort and your video has made me reassess if pica pica is the race for me.
Thanks mate , harder than Tor De Geants and as steep as Barkley according to those who shave done both - qualifying isn’t easy either I only got in with my Dragons Back finishes 😂
@@GaryHouseCoaching I had a look at the qualifying process and thought I might run the uts100 miler next year, but your video has convinced me to run a fast marathon instead.
Good on you mate. Top effort, it looks brutal. How was the kit?
Kit was spot on apart from the poles obviously that jammed on the first climb 😂
