Honestly, i don't like how they stray from the originals at all. If they wanted, they could have made a new franchise or branch of movies, because The Little Mermaid was a Danish tale, written by a Danish author, and she was made white in the first movie. I don't understand why they just don't make a new kind of movie instead of changing the literal race of an already existing person. How would you feel if the series or whatever you watched changed the Main Characters gender or race within an episode? I feel like it should just be like the original. Of course, i understand that we want more movies with black people, and i am not being racist, i just don't think it fits in this already existing story.
@@magi9918 if you're gonna talk about staying "original", tell me why they didn't put ariels grandma, who played an important role in the original story, in the animated movie or why they didn't cut her tongue out (rze actual reason she couldn't speak) or didn't show her having excruciating pain when transitioning, since having human legs felt like walking on knives to Ariel. Somehow nobody was complaining about all of this missing in the animated movie... But with the real life action movie suddenly everyone is crying like baby's about the skin color of a mermaid. When it's that big of a problem just watch all the other movies with white characters, not like there are that few.

@@lindsaypaige4628 And of course it’s be great to get more black characters, but what’s the issue of re casting someone in a story where race isn’t prevalent?
@@Luciferspoon race isnt the issue, its the fact that black people just get recast into the role instead of original black characters being their own, and everyone gives praise. Thats all it takes, hollywood just has to cast black actors and actresses and everyone gives 2 thumbs up. When in reality hollywood should actually make black characters. Take MJ from spiderman, Zendaya plays the role fine, but just sad that thats all it takes to have a "black character", just cast a black person in a role previously made famous by white actors.
With the water colour paint brush you take the bristle bit off then fill up the other part with water, put it back on then use water colour how you would usually do it.
@@youtubeuwu i actually dont care about the skin color. the girl even when she had white or green or even pink skin looks ugly. when they wanted a black girl peform as Ariel then why not getting Zendaya or Keke Palmer?
I’m pretty sure that little brush is that you fill with water and then it’s basically a paint brush for watercolors, but you fill it up with water and you just squeeze the part with water
the watercolour pens are so cool! the body part should unscrew from the tip, fill it with water and reconnect it and then you can squeeze the body of the pen to make watercolours lighter as you paint
By the way scott, the way you use the pens - you squeeze the part where the water is held, allowing it to get into the brush, then you can easily paint with it ❤
For the water pens you need to unscrew the top and put water in it. Squeezing the grippy part of the brush will release a couple drops of water so you don't need to continually be dipping your brush in water!
For the water brush, you open it then add in water. You squeeze the brush to get out some water out then apply some watercolor to the brush and create your masterpiece! (They are good for on the go since u don’t need to dip it)
For the water brush you just take off the top, then fill with water. It’s helpful because you can just squeeze it and the tip will fill with water and it’s easier to water paint in my opinion
You can put water into the tube of the water pens. The you can squeeze, the pressure depends on the pen, and water can come out the brush part. Then you have a wet brush to dip into the water color. Hope this helps, kind of at least
For the water brushes you unscrew the bottom and fill it with water. Then screw it back on and squeeze to get the water to the bristles and boom you can paint. Hope this helps ❤

If it's a water pen I'm used to using, you put water in the chamber, and squeeze a section of the pen that releases some water to rehydrate the water colors and use the water colors. The pens keep their shape EXTEMELY well!
Really hope this helps!
I find that the water pen is really nice for dropping water onto the colors, rewetting an area that dried when you didn’t want it to, and getting a nice even color
i fr got a steal last week. i bought an pencil set for like €9 but when i looked online they sell for like €66 and they're great!
I love how he just DREW Ariel. He felt no need to point out the differences from the old and the new movie very kind Scott ❤
Y’all really couldn’t have made another Disney princess mermaid that’s black? Like seriously?
thats what im asking
ok are u mad that she's black like bro get over it the story is not about ariel being white like bro its a fake character its not that serious
@@soubeluvsu551 nobodys mad 💀 disney made a black ariel to be inclusive when they shouldve made another black princess, considering there’s only one who was a frog for over 60% of the movie. disney shouldve done better, period.
@@soubeluvsu551 no one’s mad fr it’s just it would be way better if they made another Disney princess that’s a mermaid and black 💀✋
@@BellaxXMuffin1 i agree with this but it also doesn't matter that they made a black ariel there is no reason to get mad about it they chose the person bc of there singing and other quilitys not just bc they are either black or white. Im not trying to be an asshole just spitting facts
She looks more like Ariel here than in the movie
Sooo beautiful!
The water paint brushes are really easy to use, just squeeze the part with water in it so some comes out, then dip it in paint and start painting! You can always unscrew the brush when you have to refill the water
Ayyy he drew "black ariel" tysm!
Who else is so excited for Halle Bailey to be Ariel:
👇
I've gotten goosebumps just from the trailer so I'm very excited 😍
mommy she looks like me
Yes!
Oh my god your art is just so Inspiring, THE STYLE IS SOO GOOD AND ALL your video is AWESOME! PLS
Keep going!,you are my favorite artist 😆
Don't say God in vein not forcing you
@@anonymous0306 oh my god can't force them to not say it either - stop forcing your religion on everyone else
U r such an inspiration u work for making this beautiful way of expression more accessible instead of working to make yourself more popular. You are the most selfless content creator I know. Living in India I found we don't have proper art supplies available at all. Except professional supplies. And that's so damn unfair and the stuff made for pros if just too expensive so ur really helping keep going keep helping love the art community
Hii You have probably seen this tutorial comment already... But for the clear pen you screw open and fill with water. Then when you use the pen and pinch the water-filled part water comes out the top to clean and use the paint! 💗
The art looks really awesome! But wait, there's gonna be a live action little mermaid? ToT just why.
They're making live actions of everything, the pinochio one was really boring
Thank you for painting black Ariel
Although I love black Ariel as much as the next guy
Shouldn’t we just make more black characters to start with instead of turning our old ones black?
Most of the time when we do get black main characters, they’re not human or themselves for majority of the time. It’s like we’re the bud of the joke
@@Luciferspoon you rather get white ppl sloppy seconds version of a character instead of get original black characters?
@@lindsaypaige4628 Woah. Okay, if you see re-imagining a character so that young minority kids can be represented by their favorite characters as sloppy seconds, I guess fucking so??
"maybe one day we can work together"
That quote aged so, so beautifully well
You *nailed* “skin like a rose-petal” in this.
Some people hate that the new Ariel is black but I think its beautiful that we have a black princess that wasnt turned into a frog
That's not Ariel.
it’s sad how some people are so mad over a fictional characters new skin tone, instead of appreciating the actual movie. sad
No, she is. Trust me I asked
That’s not being supportive
I think you need to get your eyesight checked out mate
Is it just me that loves that Ariel is played by a black person?
Maybe
OOOO I JUST SAW A VIDEO ABOUT THIS PALLET LIKE 2 MINUTES AGO AND I LOOKED ON AMAZON and I can’t wait to see your review
With the water colour paint brush you take the bristle bit off then fill up the other part with water, put it back on then use water colour how you would usually do it.
looks cursed like the original!
@@youtubeuwu i actually dont care about the skin color.
the girl even when she had white or green or even pink skin looks ugly.
when they wanted a black girl peform as Ariel then why not getting Zendaya or Keke Palmer?
@@youtubeuwu Also saying that Ariel is cursed is literally the oldest joke
SINCE SHE LITERALLY GETS CURSED
@@youtubeuwu weirdo
@@ilhanovic2272 omg yes lets use the overrated pretty actors so we can shame people we'll never be!!
@@isaakinzzz“shame ppl we’ll never be” bro you’re so weird 😭
Ariel is white not black
cope
when it comes to disney being racists yall are no where to be found but god forbid a black woman plays a MERMAID ! how unrealistic right
Pretty sure she’s not even real, so she’s whatever people want her to be.
I’m pretty sure that little brush is that you fill with water and then it’s basically a paint brush for watercolors, but you fill it up with water and you just squeeze the part with water
The water rush pen is pretty simple to use. Just remove the top put water+paint mixture in it. Hope this helps..
the watercolour pens are so cool! the body part should unscrew from the tip, fill it with water and reconnect it and then you can squeeze the body of the pen to make watercolours lighter as you paint
LOVE THIS STATEMENT YOU ARE MAKING!♡♡♡
You'll probably never see this, but thanks. You're seriously a rockstar to more people than you'll ever know. Stay amazing my friend
With the water pen you unscrew the brush fill it up with water and then screw it back on and to release water you give it a small squeeze btw love your art
The water pens u put water in them to blend out colours and squeeze the pen when using to get a little bit of water to blend watercolours❤
I have the same set as yours and it's been good even if the brand wasn't that professional quality, we cannot see the experience on what we are using, but on how we make something into an art.
I really want to learn to paint amd those water colors are so vibrant ❤️
Wow.. Just wow! You're amazing!
Ive been seein this set everywhere lately, and after seein this, i ordered myself one. Cant wait to try it
u can use those brush pens by filling the handle part up with water and then dipping the brush in the paint and using it that way i believe :)
These were the very first water colors my mom got me for christmas years ago, i still play around with them it gives me a nostalgic feeling
