In 2013, August Reiger, a recent high school valedictorian from Oklahoma City disappeared in Banos while hiking with his family. My family knew August- my wife had taught him, I had carpooled him, and he was the older brother of my son's best friend. He was a quality person, with a fantastic future ahead of him, but he was never found. Ever since then I've felt drawn to travel to Banos.

@Heidi K I was born and raised there (Guayaquil), so it does sound a bit annoying to hear it be mispronounced. But Listen I'm just being extra hahaha. I have also lived most of my life in the UK so our T's are pronounced a bit too much lol
