Oct 2023 I replaced the starter on a 2004 PT I broke it all down pretty quick I did remove the lower water hose for more access to the starter from below I removed the bracket with 5 bolts then the one holding the starter My only problem was getting a defective starter from Auto zone I had to do double work second time was a charm n the PT is fine now. I did it to help out a person who couldn't afford the mechanic shop Remember to bleed the coolant bleeder after filling the rad All videos help out a lot Thank you
Isn't it possible to get to the starter? By taking out the front fan assembly and radiator. It looks like to me. Everything is in front Once it's removed, you have full access. Will that work.🤔
Sorry for late response. You probably got it already. If not check your new part and look at the sensor and how it’s clipped. Usually you push on middle part of plastic and it releases. I try to show all my work but sometimes camera doesn’t cooperate or it’s hard to get right angle. Thanks for watching and I hope you got the job done

You need to remove the front grill and the bracket behind it, then pull the radiator forward...
