- Exploring Tasmania! This week we enjoy seafood, whiskey, and sparkling wine while we're in Australia. If you like seafood, whiskey, and sparkling wine, make sure to add Tasmania to your bucketlist! It's a must stop destination for any seafood lover.
The market is Salamanca market. I realize now we accidentally cut the part we said the name. Oops.
I enjoy how different the two channels are from each other. It’s makes both channels very refreshing. ❤
It's always a good day when there's a new Taklyn vid🙌🏽
Definitely when it's In your Home town
Good thing they're in Tasmania because in some other parts of Australia the temperature can reach 40°C this weekend.
Best vlog Jocelyn has done… relaxed, confident and great wine critique 😊
Thanks!
It would be great if you put more content on this channel. Meaning I enjoy the filmography and content. Great work.
Wow this is amazing!!!
You two are the most luckiest. Gets to travel for a living! 👍
You guys are awesome! Love you channel! Always look forward to a new one❤
Awesome thanks for sharing the world with us 🎉
Living in New Zealand 🇳🇿 Happy New Year 2024. Your skewers of goodies on the first still shot looks
delicious. The scallop skewers as the 2nd on the menu the 1st dish looked delicate and just as delishymo.
The 3rd dish donuts; interesting 🤔. Tha 4th oysters are always a favourite 😋 for me. Then the wine
tasting. Ooooo to be there. Good on you U2 Arohanui Ana ❤❤❤😊
Hiiiii. Awesome video Taku & Jocelyn!!! 😊
Great video guys 👍👍. Taku you should make some sea food sticks like that.
That squid at the end was to die for !
Hey guys so great to see you in my home city! Have been following you two for years and would never have imagined you here in Tassie. Many friends and business colleagues in and around the areas you filmed. Hope ypu get to experience the Abalone, Crayfishand more of the Scallop industries. Don't forget the largest crabs in the world are from our east coast. There are so many professional chefs moving here because of the produce and starting up artisan businesses as well. The islands between Tasmania and the mainland are so rich and plentiful in seafood, then there are the beef and sheep farming there too.
Like NZ you could spend a couple of months and not exhaust our resources. Enjoy
Hey, Guys, so love your channel. Did you ask how the chef got the Squid so soft..dark art! Cheers, Tim
Man I really miss the food scene in Tassie. Such a beautiful part of the world with incredible locals
Great video Jocelyn & Taku! That scallop stick just helped me decide that Digby scallops in a white wine sauce is for supper. I love all your videos, but this one may be the best.
Thanks for sharing!!!
Love this channel more than the main one
Natural, informative, flowing - you guyz have such a balanced formula World class content Thankyou.
You guys were so funny during the wine tasting 😂😂😂 dead here 😂😂😂
that jelly filled donut = onigiri is such a deep cut reference lmao
Mmmm, those grilled scallop sticks looked so tasty. And the squid stick melted like butter! This is the only problem watching you two eat. I want some NOW! ❤🇨🇦❤
Yay, ,welcome back to Aus. Tassie produce is amazing. Hope you enjoyed it 💜
Love to watch your travels! With my favorite seafood and wine! Tako, oyster grilled with lemon, shoyu and tobacco! Try it, 😋🤙
I'm glad you two are enjoying yourselves. I thought this was the Outdoors Chef's Life channel at first and was like YT unsubbed me. Then I came out of my senior moment and read the name. Now im subbed on both and will be watching you two enjoy other activities.
Tassie is amazing, looks like you’re enjoying it. MONA is worth a look.
Enjoy
Nice! 🍊 Good Job Taklyn! Good Job Taku! Doing numbers! Very organic! Very beautiful!
0:13 and we love seeing the food and watching you eat!
Cool! You're in my neck of the woods! Close anyway. The seafood here is awesome, especially the lobster. If you get to the shipwreck coast in Victoria, my place is at the end of the great ocean road in South West Victoria, Wurrung Gunditjmara land.
Aloha. Welcome to my birthplace. The scallops are the best, the orange part is the roe.
so nice seeing you guys in Aus, enjoy tassie best oysters!!
Tasmania Cool🎉.
You definitely found some yummy food and drink!
Enjoy😊.
JO JO IN VT 💞
Yayyy so glad you went to Tassie. Tasmania is honestly beautiful. It’s the only state I feel that has a bit of heritage and culture to it, everywhere else in Aus (except NT) is too modern. Food is definitely delicious there too. Hope you got to see most of it.
hello maam long time im watching your vlog with chef Taku...since your started vlogging...take care God Bless...
Okay, a little weird. I'm in Western Australia in Lucky Bay, one of the most beautiful (and busiest, most popular) National Park beaches. The weird part... I have just opened a bottle of pinot noir, an NZ South Island called TA_KU... Then I clicked on this latest blog. Tassie Scallops are wonderful. The Oysters are a little over priced, but it is a tourist market . I purchased a dozen beautiful Smoky Bay (South Australia) oysters (actually got 15) for $12 only a few days ago.
Great to see you back in Oz. Stefano Lubiana's pinot noir is brilliant. You should try some if you get the chance...
Esperance is one of my fav places in the world. My family is from there and we use to spend our holidays with the Grandies 💜
You two are amazing together nz will miss u travel safe x
Don't forget to check the wine legs, good wine always has great legs!
You guys need to try to trout fishing and Fallow deer .....And have fun in my homeland ❤❤
Yeah that's called Salamanca markets hey I'm a local been here my whole life welcome. :) here in Tassie everyone knows everyone quite literally.
And people I know we're in the background of your video 😂
Hubby and I who've lived here our whole lives suggest going to mures, my Wellington and Hartz mt down our way at home.
Don't forget Blackman's bay and kingston beach where my fam are 😊
Scamander, cape hauy eagle hawk neck
It´s far away but come to Portugal this Spring/Summer. I invite, you´re seem cool and your channel is the most interesting in my opinion. I learned to fillet fish and sharpenning knives with Taku. Brown crab, lobster, coast shrimps and barnacles, cooked by myself are waiting for you. say something. Hugs!
Welcome to Australia, if you get a chance come up to Sydney!
Welcome back to Australia. I know you are going to like Tassie. It's every similar to Alaska in terms of the fishing and the lifestyle albeit with an Australian twist. Where are you off to next?
Tazzie whiskey is the bomb - this coming from a Kiwi!!!
I have a Kaffir lime in a grow tent in my apartment. This will be the fist year I'm actually going to have limes to harvest, though I use the leaves regularly for Thai-style food (calling what I make actually Thai would be wrong).
I also have a Yuzu in there, hopefully get fruit next year!
Welcome to Tassie mate
You have to visit Bruny island, amazing produce and scenery is the best
Welcome to Hobart ! I can recommend Fox Friday Brewing if you guys are after some strong IPA's. 😁
In a few more yrs. You two will be speaking wines.😂😂
Will Mambo ever star in one of these epic videos :D
welcome to Oz enjoy yourselves
Salamanca Market is fantastic so are the wines and beers in Tassie and the seafood is amazing but everything is pretty good in Victoria to we have some great wineries especially in the Yarra Valley which just to be my home area .If you guys go to Launceston try the wines at Pipers Brook wines , and the farmers market on Saturday.
Welcome to 🇦🇺 hope you come up to sydney
Mix squid in with McDonald's style French fries recipe. ❤
best donuts in Tasmania 😆
to funny 👍
Been waiting on another video 😅
Please tell us more about your ''favorite jelly filled doughnut".
That's what I want to know as well...
It’s a Pokémon reference. They for some reason changed onigiri to jelly filled donut in the English translation. lol
@@TaklyntheWorld mhm. Pokemon. Right.
The orange bit on the scallop is the roe. No roe, not a scallop 👍🏻
"I have little ears" 🤣
So cool
goto Perth next time and go up the coast, fishing is insane
🌴 😳that whiskey was how much ! Ahh I don’t think so ! But you should of talked to the chef and found out the secret to that soft squid !
Nice! I lived in Hobart for a year. Salamanca looks the exact same during weekends. Watch out for the bogans...
"When topsy meets turvy things start to spin..."
scallop on a stick ... wow
$2 for one one oyster is super cheap, we normally pay about $5-8 each depending on location.
Come to Okinawa! ❤
those donuts look like bombolonis
My guess is that that squid is a different species as what you are normally accustomed to
Yummy 🤤🤤🤤
Salute
yummmmmm
❤❤❤
Hope you are enjoying your trip, I have a sugestión, I would love to see you guys try the seafood in Ensenada Baja California México. It's not far from San Diego and also, they have I small town Puerto Nuevo, where they are famous for the lobsters. Hope you take me up on this. Blessings to you both and your families from Coachella California.
Love Ensenada! And really, any part of Mexico. ❤️
Great Vlog. If you guys are still in Hobart, hit me up if you need a real shower and a place to stay. My family would love to host you. As long as you don’t mind cats.
😋
I've gone wine tasting a couple times, they kind of taste the same. Beer is definitely different, is there beer tasting tours.
any thoughts on whats going on in the world since you are travelers? how safe is it? any second thoughts before you entering the different country? I know many food bloggers share with viewers because they might want to go there
I guess the Kiwi and Tasmanian whites are less oaked than Californian style, thereby lighter-bodied. Definitely great to drink on their own whilst fuller-bodied need more of a food pairing...
You should maybe go to Scotland if you can afford it they have great whisky and food
Whiskey nosing is the technical term.
JOCELYN!! you need to own this channel! Stop playing second fiddle to Taku!!
$2 AU is about $1'50 US.... just saying... and the whisky tasting was comical... hahaha!!!
drunk videos are funny lol
😍🖤🥰🇺🇸🍻🍺
😀
grapes raised on the Southern Slope of San Bruno Mountain, reclaimed soil from the Hunters Point Shipyard, BLAH BLAH BLAH
Watch out for the crackheads they'll rob ya
Don't you have to remove the beard and the large vein from the scallops that's just what I heard
Still looks delicious
Never mind I was thinking of mussels, I'm an idiot lol
