Joslyn’s cornbread chili in the cookbook!
Oysters make a great camp dinner! BTW, those were perfectly cooked eggs!
Pliny!!! Pliny is how discovered barebottle 7 yrs ago. would kill for a unicorn dust, best beer ever.
That chili cornbread looks so bomb and cheers to Pliny the Elder 5:24
💛...dutch ovens are the original slow cookers...excellent for on-the-road/camping meals...
Pliny!
Campfire crackles sound sooooo relaxing!!! Food looks awesome!!
Thanks!
Dutch oven cooking is definitely challenging, and definitely rewarding. That looked amazing!
Extra points for using venison. Wild duck and venison are my favorites for chili.
Oooo wild duck chili? That sounds good!
@TaklyntheWorld Absolutely! Wild duck is red meat and can be somewhat strong in flavor. Rather than just being hidden by the chili it seems to help it. Richer maybe? Hard to say exactly why...but it definitely improves it.
Kia ora campers. You both are coolest campers to watch, chilled out cooking by the fire. Jocelyn cooking awesome meals. Well filmed to guys. Those meals were all great. I especially liked breakfast.
Thanks so much!
Food cooked outdoors is always delicious
Yup! It's always better!
Good to see you two back home just taking it easy and relaxing.
Next time add a lil beer in your chili! It's a great touch
All of those meals you prepared looked absolutely delicious
Thank you!
Hello Taku and Jocelyn Happy Easter . Food preparation look delicious . Great video!
The Pliny!
pliny the elder, delecious.
Great show and episode guys. It was really funny the way you looked after you'd eaten the camp lasagna. You looked still really hungry licking those spoons😋😛🤔😉. Memphis, 10
Pre-cutting lasagna before the bake is a good idea :) like baklava
Just watched both vids for this week. Great as always and can’t wait to try the extra spicy chili crisp!
Do y’all have plans to go visit Leif’s new place in eastern WA? He’s got all those cute goats, chickens and ducks. Definitely has hands full now! 😂
Man I love cooking cast iron. You guys should make a pan pizza in it.
New to your channel, but me and the wife love watching you guy enjoy life. We loved your Samoa trip video's. My wife is from there and we are moving there for good in July, so if you ever come back you have a place to stay if you like to enjoy the simple life. Thanks for the great video's.
That's so awesome! We're for sure going back one of these days. Congrats on the move!
Yummm✨ you two make some delicious looking meals💮
I'm watching from Brizzy, Australia. Why is it that every time I get home from a shit day at work, cook my dinner, have a few brews, and have my dinner while watching your vids.....it always seems like my dinner taste like shit.😳 head back down, so our time matches..❤😂
It's not like salty ,but more funky. Lol Malo lava Taku👀👀👍🇦🇸
And Bashas👍👍👍👍🙏
I just got a similar cast iron and I’m pumped to use it!
Also I feel for you Joslyn you’re competing with a pro but your food looks awesome.
🌴 hey you two , back to a some what normal life , wow did I say normal😄
I haven't tried any of these dishes but they look so good! The salad and corn bread dish I want to learn. Ty! 🤙
That lasagna looked 🔥 we put egg in the cheese mixture and the lasagna stays together and doesn’t fall apart when it’s done 🫶🏾
So sad I missed my chance to get that hoodie. I do however love my crab white sleeve shirt! Great vid!
Great video Jocelyn & Taku! Some awesome prepared meals you guys made. So good looking! I have to be honest, when you were making the lasagna “meat’ and you said something like “I can’t tell when it’s done”. Honestly, it’s vegan based, does it matter? Lol. I’m sure it was amazing.
Thanks for sharing!!!
loved camp fire cooking whare was the invite man im here in 6 inches of snow just dropped in northern Michigan
It’s a difference in cheese. We use to pay someone to bring us back cheese from Mexico just because it’s better. They had to stop because on several occasions they were stopped and told to surrender half of what they had. They were told they could only take across a personal amount. Apparently 15 cheese wheels is not a small amount. Which of course it wasn’t just us paying them to bring the cheese back.
Haha 15 cheese wheels!!
omg that corn bread looks sooooo good
I can't wait for the cookbook!
omg this looks so good
Damn! Freaking awesome food! Made my mouth water 💦 so
From one Pliny lover to another, cheers! All your meals looked amazing. Thanks also for the tip on using 11 coals on top for 375*. We love Dutch oven cooking and have never heard that before! 🍻
It’ll also depend on the size, I should have mentioned that! That large one came with a book that had the calculations for each size and their temps.
@@TaklyntheWorld That makes sense and good to know! I’ll definitely be looking into that. Thanks for responding!
the sound of the sizzle ooh wee we eatin good
I love it when you guys cook up Mexican dishes. Looks amazing!

Spring is in the air so it’s time to book some campsites 😁
Damn that cornbread looks good ❤
A pinch of baking soda helps break down the indigestible bean skins.
Welcome back!
Hey man, when does the cook book come out?
Goals😍
My condolences on having to return to California.
We love California :)
What were the 3 type of cheese you put in the lasagna?
I want to teach you how to can so you can take your own sauce on the road.
Delish 🎉.
JO JO IN VT 💞
🤤🤤🤤
❤🤙🫶🙏🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Taku, why would you let her put fake meat in the lasagna? You need your man card stripped! Lol
How do yall like starlink? Im a truck driver and tired of using my phone and burning my data. Do they throttle you or is it true unlimited and does clouds affect it?
It's good but it was better when it started. We noticed it's slower since they introduced the pay more for priority/faster speed. Still the best option out there. Trees or other obstacles will slow things down.
Anasazi beans
not first
The food looked great 👍. But the beets can be thrown in the nearest trash can 🤮🤮
I am not a picky eater at all. I will seriously eat just about anything. The exception is beets. I have tried them many times and each time I’m disappointed by the flavor. Why eat beets when you can just pick up a handful of dirt?
@@dirtyfiendswithneedles3111 that’s true 👍👍
I will probably never give beets a chance again however there are things that I’ve tried once and didn’t like and then enjoyed really came to enjoy. Like an acquired taste. I ❤️ kimchi and fermented stuff. Used to think sour kraut was pickled cabbage. I was naïve.
Wow I really like your videos. Not criticizing but your Microphone is awful. I have to turn my volume up 5 notches to hear at normal level, then my next video blasts until I turn it down
FIRST!
your life accomplishment?
please don't put this soggy lasagna (with greens) in your cook book. much love
The key to making really good lasagne is not using fake meat. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
Fake meat is often really bad, but the new stuff is actually really similar to the real stuff. Have you tried the brand of plant based meat she used? P
